Hooters

Hooters sucks! Their executive management is a disaster, and thanks to them I lost my job at PACE AIRLINES. We had a good aviation business going, and after the main owner died, the sons gave us to a crook. I will NEVER EVER step foot into another Hooters as long as I love.
For people who aren’t familiar with this, look up PACE AIRLINES. We had 6 Boeing 737−200s, a 757, and a 767. We also had a maintenance contract with Continental Airlines, and Swift Air. 450 good people lost their jobs because of the current dishonest people who run this business. We went 6 weeks without getting paid.

GREAT waitresses at this location I also suggest the Daytona sauce (the specialty sauce) on naked wings put in for extra crispy time– so goooood!
Note that this store is slightly hidden from the road. It is behind the plaza with Panera Bread in it.

Best wings in Hanes Mall area. Garlic parmesan (battered) are great, but the choices are numerous. Also have burgers, etc. Girls friendly to «mature» ladies (me)! Get wings to go if atmosphere not to your liking.

Nice location. Not terribly noisy. Very clean and rarely overcrowded. The waitresses are polite, friendly and nice girl-​next-​door types, far from trashy. Food is flavorful and well prepared. TV’s cover a variety of games and WIFI is stout and reliable. It is what it is, but this location is just a step above the average location for a relaxing meal in a decent sports bar.

Overpriced food and poor selection of beers. Would definately choose otherwise while in W-​S. The food was over fried and cole slaw tasted like fish. Nothing special in regards to the drinks. Service is alright.

Good service but must say very disappointed in the wings. Got the triple dog dare wings and they were far from hot and the sauce was super sweet. There tex mex nachos where delicious though but come on this is a wing spot. I suggest anyone try the sauces before ordering. If your looking for hot wings go to Buffalo Wild Wings for the blazin wings, there right down the street.

Tex-​Mex nachos were pretty dang good… However while the Triple Dog Dare wings were hot they weren’t what they should’ve been heat wise for being the «hottest» they offer… Also the sauce was way too sweet ! The service was good & our drinks were never empty. They offer celery but not carrots… What’s up with that ?!?

Last night I had the wings. They were hot. Hooter usually does a good job of serving their wings hot. The wings did have a burnt aftertaste, probably time to change the oil. The waitresses were young and young and behave as such. Not professional, but it is Hooters.

We have been frequenting Hooters at various locations in NC for some time now. We have always loved Hooters, but sad to say not anymore. They have seriously messed up what was a perfect wing. We went to the Winston Salem location last weekend and ordered wings to go. We got them home and they were extremely dry so we figured maybe it was a one-​time deal where possibly the cook left them in the fryer too long. We did not bother to call back and complain because we figured every restaurant can be off of their game so-​to-​speak once in a while. We got more wings to go tonight from the same location. When I placed the order I asked the girl who answered the phone if they had changed their recipe and told her of the previous dissatisfaction with the wings. She informed me they were now using a new food distributor and the wings are bigger than before, but that they should have the same great taste. She said she would ask the cook to fry them only the minimum time required. We got the wings home tonight and noticed they are definitely bigger, but what good are bigger wings if the flavor is not as good. Anyways, the wings were as dry if not drier than last weekend. Just wanted to post our opinion in hopes that the right person with Hooters corporate offices might see this post and reconsider their decision to mess with perfection. We will also call the local restaurant and let them know. Although the service was exceptional, without great food to go with it, we will find somewhere else to get our wings.

This review covers past visits before I got involved as a Unilocaler.
This location, using my GPS to find after visiting a Calendar signing in High Point, was very tough to find. My GPS had it in the wrong spot. It was well advertised street-​side but you really have to look to find it at the top of a hill behind other buildings.
First impression: What the… looking at the pavement and sidewalk from the parking lot to the door was about two hundred quotes, messages and pictures scrawled by girls using chalk. Including a very large HOOTERS with a logo and heart right before the door. Would have included a cellphone picture but it was lost between phone upgrades a few years ago. Walked inside and noticed first-​off a sign proclaiming «Welcome to Winston-​Salem Hooters — Home to the Hotties at the Top of the Hill». Great touch. And accurate as well.
This place stays mostly full. All afternoon and all night. One thing I noticed about this Hooters is that some of the ladies will get off shifit, change, and hang out with some of their friends/​regulars/​coworkers on the patio outside. Some places do not allow this to occur but seeing it happen here just makes sense. For the most part, the ladies here… like working here. They like the customers, their regulars, their managers and the store itself. The table next to mine was occupied by a married couple from Wisconsin and of course I just felt the need to be social. The wife couldn’t believe she actually liked being there and said that it just happened to be next to the hotel they stayed at (which was perfect for me at a later visit). Brittany was our server for that section and couldn’t have been more cheerful and upbeat. She definitely won that table over.
During a repeat visit on the tail end of a 6 day road trip I stopped back at this location due to the hotel right next door. I stayed at this Hooters for a record 9 hours before unsteadily walking to the hotel to sleep off my multiple beer refills. Normally I am driving afterward and have to limit my beer intake to one. not THIS TIME! Of course this occurred at the same time of the Hooters Ballpark Cups promotion which upon each ‘refill’ gets you a new collectible cup. So, needless to say, I had quite a few cups to take home with me.

Never eating at this hooters again. Takes forever for them to bring the food out and there is only one good waitress there and that is Kayla.

I’m just not a fan of the food at Hooters. I know that that isn’t really the reason one would go there but I didn’t drink and I don’t swing that way. :) But the service we had for such a large party was decent enough even though we had two servers. The food was just decent and the prices were a bit high. Meh…

It had been over a year since my last visit to this Hooters location. Since that visit all of the tv sets are now hdtv. There is a new separation of the bar area from the food prep area.
My Hooters Girl did a nice job of having pleasant conversation with me as well as being attentive to all of her tables. I ordered the Buffalo Chicken sandwich, which is meaty and my favorite Hooters menu item.

I’m being a little generous to give it a 4 but I think it’s more than a 3. They have GREAT food and GREAT girls… most of the time. We eat there often because… of the wings. and yes. it really is, lol. I love the flavor of the sauce and MOST of the time the wings are plump and juicy and HUGE. Always ask for «wet» if you like a lot of sauce and you won’t be disappointed. My hubby actually gets the crab legs sometimes and he’s always liked them. If you tend to eat a lot then you should probably just go to a chinese buffet because it’s only a pound you get but every once in a while they’ll give you a little more than a pound for the same price. It’s only $ 12/​$ 13 for a pound and that’s MUCH cheaper than most places and they have always been cooked well and tasted fresh.
The service is where it gets a little tricky with rating. There are a few girls there that are experienced and really do an excellent job but there are quite a few we’ve had recently that are either not taught how a hooters girl waits tables or they’ve forgotten or don’t care. They are all still really friendly but they don’t feel up your glasses of beer like they are supposed to when you get a pitcher which to me is a big deal and is something they are supposed to be taught to do there and also not opening your sauces for you and pulling napkins off the roll for you.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m not helpless to where I can’t do any of that but that stuff is just what «Hooters» is known for and when you get one the senior girls you know it. We tip very generously and expect great serve especially since I cook most of the time and it’s nice to go out and have someone else bring your plate and refill your drinks for a change.
All in all we will continue to eat there but we just try to make sure we get one of the senior girls when walk in. The service has never been terrible and it’s still worth it for the food. :-)
