We could not eat there. The parking lot is small. And the restaurant is small. Had too many problems and on a time limit. The interior, menu, and prices are standard franchise. The hostess/waitress same behavior. Walk away and will not volunteer to wait on, rush to get rid of, try to stick fingernails into the skin of female hands, walk in front and try to step on female’s feet, eat food while wait on, repeat the same questions, walk away while we are talking to and not come back, yell and interrupt, stand behind and yell in the ear. Hostess threw the menu on the table. Many dirty tables. And the restaurant not busy. Had to call the manager. The waitress would not come to the table. Slow to come to the table. Said not want to write down the order. And we had to ask her to do her job. She gave us our soft drinks. With ¾ ice that we not order. We had to ask her to correct it. And she did and not come back. We had to ask for the manager on duty. He said he will not give us compensation. Never any problems. And said would wait on us. He refused to write down the order. Said not important. And we ordered steaks and hamburgers. After he left. We decided to leave. On a time limit. And had to leave.

I have never in my life felt as humiliated and inconvenient as a server at one of your locations made me feel today. The WORST service I have ever had. I have Celiac Disease, so I cannot eat gluten(including cross contamination). It is not an allergy. It is a chronic illness in which can cause major problems later on leading to death if I continue to consume gluten. I have an app called«Find Me Gluten Free» that I use regularly. It helps anyone like me find places to dine at that offer gluten free items and are safe from cross contamination. The Applebee’s in Winston Salem appeared on my app today with good ratings, so I decided to stop by. Everytime I go out to eat, I have to explain my disease to my server and/or manager, stress to them that I cannot have gluten in any form, ask questions about the menu, ask them to inform the kitchen of my intolerance and ask they change gloves, wash hands, prep my food separately, whatever they can do to prevent cross contamination. I understand this can be somewhat of an inconvenience, but it’s just as frustrating for me as it is for your staff, if not more so for me because I am the one who has to put my trust and faith into your staff that they will handle it properly and take it seriously. As I informed my server and asked questions about the menu, she was very clueless about certain things containing gluten and kept having to ask the manager. I could tell she was getting annoyed, so I just ordered a grilled chicken caesar salad with no crutons. A few minutes later, I realized that I forgot to ask if the chicken would be cooked on the same cooktop/grill as something containing gluten, and if the kitchen staff could wash their hands/change gloves. I walked up to the bar and asked the bartender if she could either get my server or the manager for me. As I stood by the kitchen, she went in the back and told my server I needed to talk to her. Just then, my server YELLS from the kitchen, «lord have mercy!» And the bartender tells her«she’s standing right there…» she comes out, and I proceed to ask my questions. She rolls her eyes and says In an extremely rude manner«the only thing cooked on the grill is MEAT». By that time, I was COMPLETELY fed up with her attitude. I told her«you know what I’ll just pay for my mother’s tea and leave» and she, yet again with an attitude, said«oh you’re fine» and pointed to the door. I grabbed my son and asked the hostess if I could speak to the manager. I by then was extremely upset and irritated. I explained everything to him from my needs as a Celiac guest to her attitude and lack of respect. He handled it very well. At that point, I was dead set on leaving because I was so disgusted as she continued to walk by and roll her eyes. He asked me to stay, said he’d prepare my food himself, apologized, did everything he could to make it right. He said he’d have a talk with her, but I’m not exactly sure he will. I asked for our check at the end of our meal, and he had already taken care of it which I appreciate, but I will NEVEREVEREVER dine at any Applebee’s location again. You couldn’t pay me enough to eat there after today. I have been a server before, and it is NEVER okay to treat your guests like she did, or speak to them as rudely as she was. I have never been treated like that!!! I’m astounded that she even had her job, or finished her shift after the way she acted. If you can’t accommodate your guests, and at least keep your cool and be understanding of their needs, then you should not work with the public, much less in a restaurant!!!

This place was so bad! Went on a Sunday night. Not very busy. Maybe 50% full. Had to wait at the door a few minutes for the hostess to figure out where to seat us and find silverware and menus. Yes, it’s their job to seat people as logically as possible but she was clearly not prepared to put new guests in seats! We were seated to the right of the bar area at a table with a bulbless lamp. Not cool. The table next to us hadn’t been cleared yet and there was still food on the plates. Not so bad at first but this table remained like this for another 20MINUTES. Gross. When our waiter greeted us he asked, «what brings you in today?». Um… what do you think? Hunger maybe? It seemed like this kind of greeting was probably some inexperienced management initiative to find out if people are coming in for any special occasions. This is lame. Stop doing it. We placed our order and it wasn’t too long before our food came out. Correction, before MY food came out. My steak came out and then we waited another 8 minutes for my dates chicken to come out. So my food was cold before I got to start eating it. Sad. Both our dishes were less than satisfactory. I don’t believe it was real food. My steak was way off temp and had a strange rubbery texture. His chicken was almost too dry to choke down. Pitiful. Several other tables finished their meals and left while we were eating. None of theses tables were cleared. One table in the bar area got PARTIALLY cleared but I guess the waitress got tired in the middle of clearing so she sat down at the bar again chatting with the bar tender and other customers. She had been sitting at the bar most of the night anyway. Didn’t take too long to get our check though, so there’s something positive. Overall this was a terrible experience. Do not eat here.

I had a funny story. My boyfriend and I were trying to decide where to eat. He named all of my favorite restaurants and I kept hinting towards Applebee’s. He finally said«you want to go to Applebee’s, huh?» I dunno, I was in an Applebee’s kind of mood. It’s been months, maybe even a year since going. I usually dislike it. The service– I’ve been to several across different states– is always awful. The food is whatever and I never feel like I’m getting what I’m paying for. The restaurants also play loud, not so great music and feel dirty/sticky. This trip was the total opposite. I was saying as we pulled in the parking lot that I wasn’t expecting anything great, but I wanted something different. I went inside alone at first and our waiter, Cameron, was nice, got me a drink, and waited for my boyfriend to come inside. Cameron gave us suggestions for apps and entrees and we got the spinach dip. That was one of the best apps I’ve had at Applebee’s. He was a great waiter, and got us what we needed before we even knew we needed it. Our food was the bomb(thanks cooks) and we even got dessert. The blondie is to die for :) The whole restaurant had a nice feel. If we are ever in the area again, we will definitely visit this restaurant. Thanks Cameron for a great Sunday evening :) *high five*

The first time I went to apple bees the food was great. But when I return and ask for the same food, it was very bad. The chicken cooked with bad oil an awful smell.

It’s Applebees. I’ve never had a bad expereince here and its a chain I trust and enjoy a quick meal at every once in a while(because they’re open late.) My last experience was with there new«hand-held» sandwich items. I got the Triple Hog Dare Ya. It has pulled pork, bacon, cheddar cheese, crispy onions and their special sause on a Ciabatta bun. It also comes with some very spicy pickles. This was delicious and I would get it again. You can’t go wrong with Applebees.

This is my favorite Applebee’s. We have lunch there frequently and usually sit at the bar. The bartenders are friendly, outgoing and attentive. Jennifer and Nicole are our favorites. The food always comes out fast and hot. There has only been one time I can recall that my SO steak was overdone and it was replaced immediately with a perfectly cooked steak. Overall, we’ve been very satisfied with this Applebee’s.

Horrible experience past Sunday I haven’t ate an Applebee’s in years and normally tried to avoid unhealthy chains. But were celebrating with a group of girls so the ambience is perfect for that. Food was horrible waitress recommended pasta dish. Shrimp came out grey thinking that I wouldn’t notice in the watery sauce. Did not receive any type of apology from manager or anyone when food was sent back uncooked especially considering we had pregnant women at the table who also ordered shrimp dishes but lucky for them the fried shrimp was over done and stuck together from being frozen. Instead of individual. So we order dessert after I send back my food and just order a BLT since that’s kind of hard to mess up. Hot brownie with icecream comes to the table almost frozen. Ridiculous how much could the kitchen mess up the simplest menu items. Horribleeeeeee! Will never come back and do not recommend

Hostess opened the door for us and greeted us with a smile and hello. We were quickly seated and right away our server, Jennifer, was over to take our drink orders. She was kind, polite and it truly was service with a smile. I don’t normally expect much from, nor do I frequent Applebee’s but my boyfriend and I had a 25 $ gift card and went to make use of it. We selected the 2 for $ 25 option and ordered the new pub chicken with quinoa and an order of the 4cheese macaroni and chicken strips. The new pub menu chicken was okay, nothing to write home about. The appetizer we selected was the artichoke and spinach dip — a must! Delicious! But the chips are almost too salty to stomach. We ordered three LITs from the bar which were most definitely on the short side of the pour, but were drinkable and delicious for the cost of 3.99 $. The music was SPOT on. All the servers seemed to be in good spirits and the place was extremely busy.(Saturday night around 6pm). Inviting atmosphere and great service from Jennifer. Will return.

Typical Applebee’s. Poor service, lousy sweeteners. Overpriced food that skimps on size.

Food was pretty good. Came in and staff looked bored and like they didn’t want to be here. Looking over at the bar the glasses they have hanging up for drinks they look horrible. They are dirty and full of smudges and I would never buy a drink if it meant having to use one of those. Waitresses name was lolia she was nice but seemed uninterested in us being there.

I usually HATE Applebee’ but we had a $ 25 giftcard so we decided to get our«free meal.» I really wasn’t expecting much because I can honestly say, I have never had a good meal at ANY previous location… Until today!!! Upon arriving, I thought that it was nice that the hostess opened the door for us. We came on a Wed night and the place was dead and we got a table right away. Our server was good. She was very polite. She checked on us enough but not too much where it gets annoying. The food was excellent! I was pleasantly surprised! Like I said earlier, every previous visit that I ever had at an Applebee’s was pretty subpar. Tonight we did the«2 for $ 20» that they advertise. You get to chose one appetizer from maybe 5 or 6 options and 2 entrees from maybe 6 – 8 options. I got the quesadilla burger/fries(very juicy, cooked perfect, made the way I asked without the tortilla) and my husband got the chicken fingers/fries and we split the mozz sticks. BONUSPOINTS, the order of mozz sticks came with 8! Usually you get 5 or 6 at other restaurants but 8 is a decent number! They were great. 2 for $ 20 is a pretty good deal… BUT… What gets you is the drinks. My husband got(2) drafts beers and they were $ 5.49 each. I got water. Call me cheap but drinks at those chain restaurants always seem so pricy. When all is said and done, this«free» dinner(because of the $ 25 gift card) still cost us $ 17. Note about picture I added: Each table had a little interactive touchscreen. Having never seen one, it would have been nice for our server to explain: what it was, how to use it, etc. It’s a pretty cool selling point BUT just sits there otherwise. From playing with it on my own, apparently you can order apps and desserts on it, play games(boo– 99 cents to play– no thanks), view your bill, and every now and then it’ll ask you if you need refills for your drinks. It just makes me think, your server works less due to the technology(you order your own apps, dessert, drinks) but then you’re supposed to tip the same? All in all, I think we would return. This trip to Applebee’s put my faith back into a restaurant that I was ready to write off.

The food wasn’t horrible… but the service was. I went out with a group of coworkers earlier this evening. Probably one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve had in a long time. The server forgot my drink(the only easy, non-alcoholic one in the bunch) not once but twice and didn’t really apologize when she finally brought it out. The food came out missing several sides and we didn’t see our server until I was well into my meal. Everyone who ordered drinks had a stupid wait time for them. Not sure if the bar was backed up or what. There were several other screw ups. It wasn’t a horrible experience because everyone was pretty chill and we decided to have a good time in spite of, but in all honesty if you’re looking for good food and quality service it ain’t here. My biggest issue weren’t all the screw ups but the fact that our server seemed to be a seasoned employee.

Second time I’ve been here, and I guess it’s A-OK. They have ½ off appetizers special after 10PM, they also have 1 appetizer and 2 entreees for $ 20, but must be ordered from their deal menu. They usually also have drink specials, just ask. They have half way decent Moz sticks, however, I have never gotten them toasty warm, they are always kind of hard already… sad. Also I wish they would be a tad more creative with the sauce that comes with the Moz sticks. Maybe some sun dried tomato aioli sauce or something haha, but the regular red sauce is kind of bland. Their french onion soup thankfully is not too salty, yay! I’ve tried many many french onions at many establishments. However, the soup was also served luke-warm, or I would even say, cooled. Waiter keeps getting orders mixed up, but it’s ok, I know it gets hectic at the Bees’ at night. Overall, it’s a louder environment, applebees is not where you need to go for a healthy meal, but if you want half way decent food with a varied menu to hang out with friends, go for it! Late night snacks is where it’s at.

Applebee’s is a decent place for a meal. On a Friday we got a table for two with no wait. The wait staff at this Applebees’s location worked together to take our orders and get our food to us promptly. The food here is not too fancy but is good. Atmosphere is laid back and casual.

I loved this location. Somehow, the food was just extra good(compared to other Applebee’s locations) and I loved every time I ate there. Every entrée was what I expected it to be, and the service was always Southern hospitality all the way. Maybe some nostalgia for NC inflated this rating, but I don’t care… I like this one.
