Went in for an eyebrow wax and feel like I came away with a friend. Service was wonderful — wound up getting my eyebrows tinted & waxed. Amazed with the results and will be back for future maintenance!

I went to Pilar for only a half leg wax the first time, and we happened to have a conversation about how i had just gotten a chemical peel at another salon on the same day. She gave me a great leg wax, but after our conversation, she looked at my skin and was so concerned that I take care of my face after getting a peel even from another salon that she offered to let me come back a week later so that she could check out my skin for free to see how I was doing. She was really concerned that I needed good advice about my skin care after my peel… again, from ANOTHER salon. She really seemed to care about me overall, even though I was just there for a leg wax. She doesn’t just do waxes; she is also a registered aesthetician. I have since been back for two chemical peels and a bikini wax. I was TERRIFIED of getting a wax, due to past experiences at other salons, but it was nothing at all. Pilar uses cold wax that does not stick to your skin like hot wax, and the pain was not anything I couldn’t handle, and I am a wimp for pain. I’ve had hot waxes before where I bled and bruised. After my wax with Pilar I wasn’t even red. I really on a scale of one to ten felt about a three for a deep bikini wax, in my most sensitive areas. She is like a mama bear that cares about her patients.

Great spot! She did 3 different waxes for brows, bikini and legs all specialized and knows what she is doing! I was very impressed and it didn’t hurt like other places do. I am going again!

Pilar is wonderful and I have been seeing her for over a year now! I moved to the Orlando area from LA where they have some of the best brazilian waxers and was very nervous to go to someone new but Pilar does not disappoint. She’s funny, sweet, and most importantly knows what she is doing.
It is SO important, especially with Brazilian waxing to find someone who really specializes in it and Pilar does. I would never go anywhere else for my waxing!

Pilar is great! This was my first body waxing experience and I got a deep Brazilian. Pilar made the whole process quick and virtually painless. The spa was very cute and clean. Her rates are reasonable and she is very professional and made me feel comfortable. Highly recommend!

I’m a new customer of Pilar’s and I love this cute little boutique spa! The Waxing Corner is located right on Dillard St in Winter Garden. It’s a converted residence a few minutes from downtown WG. There is free, private, off-​street parking behind the house.
I have had waxing and a facial here and Pilar has really helped my skin. Her facial helped reduce redness due to rosacea, and she recommended some products for me to use at home to keep the effect.
As far as waxing services, she makes you feel right at home, and I felt almost instantly like an old friend. She’s very quick and skilled; she uses the hard wax, so no strips needed. She also gets a fresh stick each time she dips in the wax, in case you are concerned about that.
She also offers manicure and pedicure services, though I have not had either one there. She also offers a loyalty rewards program at this time; it’s a punch-​card type system that gets you your 6^th service free.
I think her prices are extremely competitive. She is set up to accept tips on credit cards; many places expect you to have cash for tips, so this is a nice courtesy at Waxing Corner. The Waxing Corner isn’t stuffy or pretentious or snobby – I really felt comfortable there. Her location is convenient for Winter Garden residents, and I am new faithful client.
I recommend The Waxing Corner without any hesitation – just try it, you owe it to yourself!

WOW! I was vacationing in Orlando when I visited Pilar at The Waxing Corner. This woman knows what she is doing! I have been getting waxed for many years and have sensitive skin, so my standards and expectations are pretty high.
I had a proper Brazilian wax with her at the most reasonable rate! I live in San Francisco where it would have cost me twice as much for half the service. The shop is cute and clean, and Pilar was very friendly, professional.
She used a high quality hard-​wax that did not irritate my sensitive skin. I will definitely set up an appointment with her when I am back in the area!
