Their jalapeño jelly is legendary! I also liked their chicken tostada and their brussels sprouts! Good local wine selection(we got the Berryessa Gap malbec and it was really great — and one of the cheapest by the bottle for $ 32). Service was excellent — friendly and helpful! Very busy on a Saturday night!

This is our first appearance at The Preserve in several months. The menu had gotten stale, but I am so happy to report the place has a few new managers and an awesome new chef, who we met tonight. They have retained their best service staff and bartenders! The food was fresh and SO tasty!!! We will be regulars again.

It was mid week and we was driving to winters to get a pizza, thankfully it was closed and as we found out most restaurants closed in winters for dinner in mid week, so we gound this place… One of the best place i eaten in the past couple months, the décor is casual but unique at the same time and staff is great. And the food. We was 6 people invlude kids and everyone just loved it, the pizza(recommend to order as you come as it take a long time) was great, salads, cheese platter with jams on it, mini burgers for meat lovers and so on. The also have so good home made jams(or the way they calling it preserves) thay you can buy in small jars($ 8) that we ended out taking couple after loving it on our platter, kids take the butter apple one to school on the PBJ sandwich and loving it. Overall a great experience and i am definitely going back.

This place is an absolute gem! Preseve came highly recommended by a friend so we decided to give it try. We started with Bloody Mary’s from and ordered the charcuterie plate and a flat bread pizza with Portabella mushrooms and truffle oil for lunch… everything was wonderful including the staff. The interior décor is awesome. Rustic barnwood, barrels, a vintage camera collection under the massive shuffleboard table and big leather benches. Looking forward to visiting again soon!

Have been to Preserve twice and really enjoy it. The seating is eclectic and there is a lot of metal. They sell these wonderful preserves that they pair with different types of cheese. You can get multiple pairings. They offer a good selection of beers and wine and also make great cocktails. I love the pear martini. They have different types of pizza. Love their caprese salad and Mac and Cheese. Go there hungry because the servings are good size. Wait staff and bartenders are very nice. It can get quite busy so if you have a large group call ahead.

Farm-to-fork goodness! Yum! Before getting to the food, I must mention that the plush, stylish seats around the tables(cushy cushions accompanied with pillows) are a nice touch. So comfy! The ambiance here made me feel like I was dining in some opulent restaurant in a big city, but it’s even nicer to have this in a small town that’s easy to get to and easy to find parking in. So, this place made a fantastic impression on me as soon as I walked in the door, and everything gets even better! Here are some dishes that my dining companion and I enjoyed: 1. JALAPENOJELLY — grandma O’s house made jelly, local farmers cheese, and acme bread. The Jalapeño Jelly features the natural sweetness of jalapeño that I never knew existed, and I really noticed it because the spicy seeds of the jalapeño weren’t included in the making of the jelly. What a novel idea and a pleasantly surprising experience! 2. PIZZAOFTHEDAY — It was so good that I can barely remember the ingredients on it! Delectable thin crust with a rich and tasty tomato sauce, cheese, and meats(yeah, sorry… I forgot what was on it but it was good!) 3. PESTOGNOCCHI with prosciutto — Adding prosciutto to this dish really punches up the savoriness so decide accordingly. The service was attentive and friendly. Between the service and the comfortable seating, it’s easy to feel at home here.

Winters?! Whyyyyyy winters?! This is a place that you yearn to find. Great atmosphere, great food and drinks, and a place you wish was down the street from you… except I live in Sac, and this is in Winters, boo. The locals are probably thrilled, but I can’t help but think it deserves a better crowd. This would be a huge hit in Midtown. But alas, this is me being selfish. I got the grilled cheese for dinner, because if there is a fancy grilled cheese on the menu, I’ll wanna try it! Haha! This is the kinda place where the menu is always changing and I usually take that as someone who enjoys what they do in the kitchen. The homemade potato chips were on point and chartreuse board to start was so good, you gotta try the jalapeño jelly!!! The service was great and our drinks never went dry. They had a great bartender and some awesome speciality drinks, and also a fabulous craft beer list. Our group of 4 didn’t feel rushed at all and even had a few more drinks after dinner without it feeling like we were holding up a table. The only negative thing about this place is that it isn’t closer to me!!!

Last night’s plan sounded good– had homemade mac and cheese(good cheeses, etc.) waiting for us after starting the evening out at this place. Ordered the piquillo peppers and stuffed mushrooms along with some drinks, then we headed home. Mushrooms ended up being OK, but not much more than that. Stuffed with some stuff, then placed in a puddle of balsamic… it worked… but for $ 7, I expected way more than 4 teeny tiny little swimming mushroom caps. Peppers ended up being a bit better. Mixing garlic cream cheese and prosciutto, it’d be pretty hard to mess this one up I think. Cool to try it, but not worth heading back anytime soon. I think I’d do more with less at home. That’s not the point of going out to eat, but it’s the first thing that came to mind while here.

Preserve is a tough one for me because it’s the only time I cheat on my favorite cheese place, The Rind. I know, I know, but if I had to two time a cheese bar I’d gladly carry on with Preserve. I find their cheese boards to be very affordable. $ 13 for three cheeses of your choice and their pre-selected pairings of jellies and jams makes choosing your poison relatively easy. No need to wonder if the brie is from the rare blue sheep from the magical fairy hills of France. It’s just brie here. Do me a favor and order the jalepeno jelly. It seriously stole the whole show. It’s sweet, and not very spicy but still has that familiar jalepeno taste. We geeked out on some other plates here. They are pretty pricey, Preserve is not a cheap date. The mushrooms were the most memorable for me. The reduction they serve them with is seriously the best thing ever. We also ordered the meat balls our our server kindly brought extra bread to make sure we had a vessel to get that extra sauce in our bellies! I thought the tomato sauce was a bit sweet for my taste, but it was still tasty. Unfortunately they don’t do beer flights here on the weekend which bummed me out. Barryessa Brewery is right down the street and Preserve features many of their beers on tap. I really would have like to have ordered a flight and then a pint. Our bartender did offer us a sample or two but it seemed like he was really busy and I didn’t want to bother him too much. I saw that a waitress had served up two flights right in front of us and when I inquired I was told that she was in trouble because of it… couldn’t you have been fair and offered us one too?! I don’t like this place on Friday or Saturday nights because it just gets really crowded and noisy. Come during the week, or for an early dinner on the weekends and you’ll get lots of attention and it feels less like a party barge.

Trés bonne selection de bières locales, excellent plats. La cave à fromages au milieu du bar est aussi impressionante. Voir Winters cheese. Je recommande les pulled porc sliders.
