Very good coffee and outstanding sweets at a very good price. My cheesecake blondie was excellent. There were people of all ages sitting inside on this cool day, from old-timers who are almost certainly regulars at that table to families with kids and one young professional working in her laptop via the open wifi.

I miss this place(I had to move back to Vegas!), but i will tell you that the chocolate chip cookies there are the ones I have been searching for… When I was growing up near Boston, and being Italian… we had the best bakeries and the chocolate chip cookies were bigger than the size of your outstretched hand. Now as I am quite a bit older, my hand will just about have the fingertips around the edges of the cookies Mike bakes, and they taste like my childhood! Thank you, Mike!!! The coffee is awesome, too! The commitment to organic shows in many ways here.

I love this place! Beautiful interior and view and incredible coffee and pastries to match! Always feel at home here at this family owned and operated business, reminds me of the old days of Eastie and Winthrop, wide selection of Italian Pastries. The Cannolis are my favorite, looking forward to trying the pizza next. Thank you for the excellent service.

Very disappointed. When they first opened, everything was fresh, you wanted to go back! The last few visits all the pastries tasted frozen with a refrigerator aftertaste. NOT good. I just went back to try again to see if the pastries were fresh since it was after all the holidays and they even LOOK like they were frozen and defrosted, I only had coffee and when I got home had a package cookie! I passed up a bakery item for a store bought one!!! I usually only eat home made. Please email the owner to let him know your feelings so he can fix the problem before they have to close for lack of sales!!!

I often visit Winthrop and really enjoy the times I get to visit Adriana’s Pastry & Café. Pastry– Connolis, Cupcakes, Cookies, Cakes. they have it all. Not to mention, the Ricotta pie is outstanding. They also make pizza! All of the baked goods I had have been excellent. Coffee– is excellent! All of the flavors you could want. They also offer seasonal coffee specialties Prices– are reasonable and comparable Atmosphere– Super cozy! The location, décor, and atmosphere keep drawing me back(and of course the pastry and coffee). In front of Adriana’s there is a large patio with seating and inside there are number of tables and chairs and also lounging chairs. Make sure to get a table near the window for a water view and check out Boston in the background. Tips: Make sure you take something home and share the deliciousness of Adriana’s Pastry & Café

Visiting Winthrop from NJ I have eaten at Adrianna’s a few times. Tasty baked items, best coffee in the neighborhood(there’s a DD across the road) and friendly staff make this place special.

I’ve been a few times. The coffee is on the darker side and do it yourself with milk, sugar, etc. The staff is nice and I think the menu a little more clear since they opened. They have a nice range of pastry and someone once brought us a ricotta pie which was lemony and fluffy but I’ve never seen it in the case. Went a couple of weeks ago post-early holiday shopping. Got a brownie, was a little confused because the counterperson she asked if I wanted it heated. But it was quite cold so it made sense that she knew this – wanted to give me a heads up. Kind of like eating a brownie when you raid the freezer. Cannot comment on the other pastry as yet. There is a lot of seating and it is a very pleasant atmosphere to sit and read, or chat with friends.

If you can’t get to Italy for your morning Caffè latte and cornetto, this is the best alternative on this side of the Atlantic! Family owned with a competent and friendly staff, they really make you feel at home. It reminds me of the coffee bars in Europe where people gather to socialize and visit. Definitely not a Dunkin’ Donuts or Starbucks. I recommend it highly!

I would’ve gotten better service at Dunkin Donuts… I ordered a slice of banana bread and asked for it to be warmed up and buttered. Simple request, so I thought… I got a still cold slice of banana bread tossed in a paper bag. I asked for it to be buttered and the girl told me they weren’t allowed to put butter on. Ok, no big deal, so I asked for butter and she came back with two foil wrapped(almost frozen) cubes of butter. Knowing that the butter won’t be thawed or «spreadable» until early next week I asked her to warm the butter. NOPE, just a dumb look with«how am I suppose to do that.» Guess they don’t have a microwave or oven at their shop… and not to mention I was the only customer in the place so I guess I was hoping she’d go the extra mile for me. I’d expect this bootlegged, half assed service at Dunks(surprisingly they do a better job) than a fancy pastry shop. Sorry for the rant but if anyone’s ever tried buttering bread with impossible frozen cubes of butter while driving then I’m sure you can get my drift.

This is a very nice place with an accommodating, attentive, efficient and happy staff. Most importantly the full bodied, hot, real coffee tasting coffee and breakfast sandwiches are great! Also, I can’t drink milk BUT Adriana’s Café offers almond, cashew, soy and coconut milks. Hooray! I have always been forced to go to Starbucks for a full coffee simply because they offer soy milk(not my prefered option). I hear the baked goods are delicious but haven’t tried them yet. Location is perfect with nice views and seating options indoors and out. I saw a fireplace in there! My only disappointment so far is the poor wifi internet service. It goes in and out frequently and didn’t even work for me today. Even if it’s free, it should work. If they can provide a commercial grade quality and high bandwidth internet capable of handling the many customers they get(most people were on their phones tablets or laptops trying to do a little work). Add a system that gives you a code on the receipt and and hour and half or two of service that times out. The person buys a refill and pastry and gets more time if they want to stay. Just a disclaimer: I don’t think it’s any restaurant or café’s job to provide me with an office all day. Like a lot of people these days that work from home or on the road, it’s nice to have a place to stop for a bit(change of scenery or catch up on emails and work). Today, after my breakfast there, I was going to treat myself to a pastry and more coffee when I got a bit of work done on my laptop. Instead, I had to eat and get back to my the internet in my basement home office.

The cappuccino is excellent. Ask for a coffee cup. It is beautiful tasting. The pastries are very good. Be careful, the pastry is to die for.

This Café is right over the bridge from Boston-East Boston to Winthrop, i.e., a ten minute ride from Downtown Boston, and right next to Belle Isle Seafood. It’s on the water, has outside(street) seating, and free parking. We buy sesame cookies which are far better than ever we have had, better than Mike’s, Modern, and Maria’s in the North End. Can you believe? The Café’s blueberry muffins are large and loaded with blueberries, all for $ 2.50 each. Good value for your money. Pies are $ 13, same as most other places(Whole Foods), etc. Nice presentation of all items. We continue to stop here after eating next door — another good value for your money.

What a nice addition to the neighborhood. I love Italian cookies/canolis, and the staff is very polite. My favorite time to go there is in the evening. Nice to have delicious Italian pastry, relax your mind by enjoying the view.

Delicious coffee and pastries, with a beautiful view of Boston Harbor. My go-to is the cold brew iced coffee – strong, smooth, and worth the $ 4 price tag!

Less than average espresso drinks from the bar. Don’t order a cappuccino, worst one I’ve had in the Boston area, you’d be better off going with a latte. Their baristas need serious training. I gave it a try several times and find myself not wanting to go back.

I really really want to like this place. Have gone a total of 3 times, hoping that the last time was just a fluke but sadly have been continually disappointed. The coffee for me is just okay, I don’t find it strong enough. Although their cream and sugar bar is by far the best, I will certainly give them that. All 3 times the service has been mediocre at best. The staff was more concerned with chatting with each other than being attentive to customers or the building line. I was rudely cutoff in line once by someone who the girl behind the counter knew and immediately served while I continued to wait even longer. I can’t really speak to the pastries — have only had the tiramisu and it was not good. Not even close. I had a breakfast sandwich once, and the biscuit was VERY dry. I’ll try again, but my hopes are fading…

I love this place! You can tell that everything is made well and made with love. The jam filled cookies are my favorite, the gelato is outstanding, the Italian cookies are scrumptious, the ricotta pie, delish! I could go on and on but it would be my recommendation that you go and try them all for yourself! Winthrop is very lucky to have Adriana’s!

Adriana’s Pastry & Café is a great addition to Winthrop. When we moved here, we thought it was a shame that there wasn’t a true sit-down, casual coffee place in town. And Adriana’s is even better than if Starbucks moved into town. They have great coffee options, and North End style food options on top of that. I just had the best gelato I’ve ever tried. Here’s hoping that this place gets some steady business. It would be great if such a solid option sticks around. Great views of the Boston skyline as well. Great place to study or work.

Pros: the Americano I had was decent. The condiment bar has all organic products. The pastries looked delicious and I really wanted to try them all. The view is insane and there are plenty of tables inside and outside. I will definitely return to try everything. It isn’t a Starbucks and feels like a cozy, small town coffee shop. Cons: there are no outlets, so I was unable to stay as long as I would have liked(and probably would have purchased more than just one drink if I were able to stay). The layout is a little confusing and travel path for coffee purchases is not intuitive. I did not find the condiment bar until I was leaving because it was nowhere near the handoff plane. The service was a little awkward, and because it was my first time and I had no clue where to pick up my drink, but I’m a big girl and can figure things out for myself. The biggest miss for me was the family of the owner(I assume, they kept going in the back room and taking ice cream from the fridge.) They were kind of noisy and took up the coziest looking chairs. There was a kid that kept playing a video on a phone and it was so loud and distracting. Nobody seemed to notice him being a disruption though, and maybe it wouldn’t have been a big deal if there was music playing. I’m hoping this was an anomaly, and can’t wait to come back to try their pastries. Maybe I’ll bring my own music too.

All of the pastries are awesome. My favorites that I recommend trying: the lemon and pistachio macaroons(they practically melt in your mouth!); the lobster tail(that cream filling is amazing!); the triple layer chocolate cheese cake(need I say more!?); the tirimasu(just enough coffee/kahlua taste and the cream is delicious!); and the blueberry muffins(I eat one and am so tempted for another!) My favorite part of this pastry/café is that Everything tastes fresh and perfectly flavorful. My iced Americano is always just right – I can drink it black every time because the taste is so delicious. When I get a syrup flavored beverage, I feel so relieved because the syrup is organic and not artificially flavored(which is a huge pet peeve of mine). The milk is organic and makes a huge difference on the taste of lattes. I give the staff credit because it is busy in there and has been every day since they opened! They are friendly and smile and look like they are all enjoying themselves!

I absolutely love it here. This is exactly what Winthrop needed. The coffee and espresso are delicious. The employees are so nice and helpful. Everything is fresh and organic. It also has a great view of boston and the harbor. There is inside seating and a fireplace, so it is definitely somewhere you can also stay and relax for a while. They also plan to have some outside seating which is exciting. This is definitely my new go to café. I can’t wait to go back again!

Get out of the A.M. Dunkin traffic jam and stop in for some genuinely good pastries and coffee. The service is nice, the pastries are really good and the coffee actually tastes good too. Modern atmosphere, comfortable without being cold. Nice view looking towards the airport and the city of Boston. Plenty of parking. Free wifi. We’ve stopped in here twice in the last week and it’s been good both times. Highly recommend.

I’m giving Adriana’s a solid 5. The showcase of baked goods is impressive and when you enter the establishment your salivary production is ready and waiting to try one of these tasty treats. My favorite part of the place this far is definitely the atmosphere, fire place, comfy and the VIEW! While waiting in line the manager approached me and was warm and friendly. He asked me if I’d like to sample a «cold brew» coffee and explained to me how it has 90% less acidity than other coffees and was very enthusiastic about his business! Great place… Bye bye Dunkin Donuts!
