Leon’s is right down the street from where I work, so when my coworkers and I are in need of a break from the office lunchroom(and the fight over the three semi-working microwaves), we head to Leon’s. Here’s why I love it: — The staff is always, ALWAYS friendly and quick. I’ve never had bad service there. — The food is ready quickly. I only get an hour for lunch, so time is of the essence when going out. The food usually comes out within 15 minutes of ordering it, which gives us a chance to enjoy what we’re eating, instead of having to wolf it down, or box it up and eat at our desks. — The price is comparable to most lunch places. Today my salad was $ 11 or so, and it was fantastic. — Their portions are good sized. I always have leftovers. — Here is the best thing of all: THEYHAVE A SOUPBAR!!! I love soup, and I love that most of the meals include the soup bar. They also have hot, yummy rolls and butter to go with your soup. In the winter, you can’t beat it! I’ll definitely be back. Probably next week.

Love love love this place. The soup is amazing! Love Wednesday’s cream of spinach. The bread is homemade daily. The soups are homemade daily. The chili when it’s on special is awesome. We work around the corner and everyone comes to leons for lunch. Salads are huge and come with the soup bar. Ranch is homemade and yummy. Service is always good but then we are regulars so maybe that’s why. This place is a well oiled machine at noon on Friday when it’s packed.

The food was not at all great! Ordered pancakes, hash browns, and sausage. Oh and I had water and a cup of hot chocolate. Everything tastes as if it were frozen and then unthawed, yuck. One thing for sure… the water was good. The only reason I’m giving it one star is because I had to, to post my review and had I not got a percentage off I wouldn’t have went there.

Best chicken noodle soup. Hands down. Love their bread they give as a side, as well. Staff is friendly and welcoming.

We come here every 2 – 3 months and it is starting to grow on me more each time. I have decided to write an update to bump this place up to 4 stars, because the service has been great the last two times we visited. Last time, Marilyn was our waitress and she was great. She had a good sense of humor and was very attentive. They have also honored our 30% coupon each time, making this a really good deal. The soup bar is awesome and the food is really tasty. The last two times I had the Cajun blackened chicken sandwich. The chicken breast has been so flavorful that I haven’t needed any sauce or mayonnaise on top. Overall, this is a good regular restaurant to visit. I am impressed with the service, food, and the 30% Unilocal love. It definitely deserves the fourth star, in my opinion.

I’ve been to many different Leo’s, and this one was the worst of the bunch. Waitress seemed bothered to be doing her job, food was sub par, waitress never asked if we wanted refills. And if nothing else, Leo’s usually has good crisp chix fingers, but not this one. You could tell they come frozen because they were soggy on the bottom. Won’t be going back to this location. If I want coney, I’ll go back to Leo’s in Brighton. Food there is ALWAYS good.

2nd time here and it was better than the first. Excellent service. Let me say that again: Excellent service! The food came exactly as ordered, with free soup and salad. Just a wonderful dining experience. I will visit more often.

I eat here about 3 times a month, mom and pop food, fast, convenient, and I now know the staff pretty well. It is just a nice place for a quick meetup with friends for lunch or to get dinner for the kids when nobody wants to cook.

I guess I’m used tot he Dearborn Leon’s where they have a breakfast buffet every morning and at a very affordable price. This Leon’s only does breakfast buffets on the weekends. Oh well. The place was a ghost town when I came in which is something very different from the Dearborn location which is always very steady in the morning. Also, this Leon’s has a bar: WHY? I just don’t get the diner/bar combo. I’ve heard of Scotch Eggs but do we really need Scotch and eggs? I ordered my usual Farmers Omelet, hash browns well done and dry rye toast. I got what I ordered with no real surprises. Service was great and very attentive. Rachel, who first is very easy on the eyes, is a wonderful server. She made sure I had hot sauce, extra napkins and steady but not rush refills.

I’ve been going to this chain for decades. The one in Wixom has to be my favorite location. The soup bar is to DIE for. You get your money’s worth here. Last burger I got was very good — huge, hot, with melty cheese and tons of hot, crisp fries. Could barely eat half before I was super full. I always stop by here after a trip to the lake.

Basic food service can be hit or miss. Wouldn’t give me 30% off on my check in since I got breakfast buffet. Then they said they needed printed copy of coupon to accept! To much gabbing for a discount. Not my first time here. They are so much better when the boss lady is on the floor. Lots of parents bring the team after practice on Saturday just so ya know. Gonna take a break from them the discount thing turned me off

Food was good, décor pleasant, service very, very, very slow. Here at 3:30 pm, only 4 other customers and waited over 30 min for two sandwiches. Still waiting for the carry out box, asked for it 7 minutes ago.

This was the only place around that would take a group of people as large as we had. They did a good job of serving 42 people(soccer team) and parents all the food was good and the staff did a great job…

Good breakfast bar. $ 8.99pp will get you good scrambled eggs, bacon, good sausage links, breakfast potatoes/hash browns, biscuits & gravy, some sort of delicious hash browns pattie, fruit and danish. The waffles, pancakes & french toast were cold and not worth the trouble. The service was terrific. Very friendly and accommodating. Definitely worth the stop if in the area.

This was the second time in my life that I visited a Leon’s and it was just«eh.» My sister and brother-in-law booked the party room here on my recommendation. And that recommendation came merely because they were looking for a place that was in «middle ground» after their son’s baptism. A majority of their guests came from the east, and the baptism was in Brighton. We needed somewhere in the middle to satisfy everyone. So they went with Leon’s. I don’t know what their experience was like, but from what I saw, it was very mediocre. There were several servers working the room that day and they seemed to have a pretty good handle at the beginning. First impressions are a must and that was what they were after. As the meal wore on, the wore out. It took a while to get a cup of coffee or a refill on a beverage. One of the server was also covered in tattoos, not something you want to see at a «family» restaurant. The food was surprisingly tasty. We ate from a buffet of potatoes, chicken, salad, rolls, and vegetables. The food was hot and they refilled it several times because of us fat kids. It’s not the cleanest place in the world… you know, ceiling tiles that have been there so long they’re yellow. That kind of thing. If the environment and ambience doesn’t bother you, Leon’s is your place.

Visited on Saturday evening around 7pm. Surprisingly the restaurant was not busy, only about 4 tables of people. We come here for the soup bar. Unfortunately this visit the soups were not very good. They seemed to lack flavor. The Caesar salad had fresh ingredients, but too much dressing. My wife ordered the New York strip steak cooked medium. It came out unbelievably rare. The center was very raw and cold to the touch. She sent it back, and although it was cooked more the second time, the center was still rare. I had the broasted chicken which was so-so. The broasted chicken comes with garlic mashed potatoes and gravy. I think next time I would ask for a different style potato. The prices are reasonable at Leon’s, but I think I would rather pay more and get better food and better service. We come to Leon’s about 4 – 5 times per year, but we think this will be the last time. The food and service seem to get a little worse each time we come. Apparently others think the same based on the number of guest dinning on a Saturday night.

Hubby and I stopped by last night for dinner and we were pleasantly surprised, both by the high quality food and by the reasonable prices. Hubby had the BLT with fries, which he declared was«pretty good»(and a deal at only $ 7.99). I had the salmon with a baked potato and green beans, which was tasty despite the fact that Leon’s was out of the mango salsa that usually tops the salmon. I also had the cream of potato soup, which was also tasty. Hubby had a beer and I had two glasses of the house wine(only $ 5/glass). Our total bill, not including tip, was only $ 36. I felt we got excellent value for the price.

Sunday bruch buffet fills you up, if nothing else. Bacon /eggs were too salty. Potato pancakes were dense, but the biscuits were nice. Service was pleasant.

I love this place! I can’t believe it hasn’t been reviewed yet. They’ve got great food and great service. Sandwiches are pretty good here, especially the chicken wraps. The only con is that almost anything you get comes with fries, soup and rolls. So, if you just want a sandwich, you’re going to get all of that, and pay almost $ 10 for it.
