Sometimes when you want to get away from the over priced «Big Box» stores it pays to make your way off the beaten path! I have been hunting and fishing my entire life, and it is always nice when you can shop for gear from a local establishment. Buy local as often as possible! The folks at South Carroll Sporting Goods had exactly what I was looking for, and for an unbeatable price!
Their little shop does not look like much on the outside, but the atmosphere on the inside rocked! The folks in the front room made you feel welcomed and service was prompt. At the end of the sale I was given a hearty thank you and a firm handshake. You never get that personal touch at the «Big Box» stores! These guys knew their products, were true professionals when dealing with difficult customers (who changed their minds mid-​transaction), and just let you know they cared about you as a person and not just as a customer! To me that was huge. That was my selling point.
