I honestly think this place stays afloat only cause it’s in Woodbury and nobody wants to make the drive into St. Paul for some authentic Vietnamese food. Duc’s would be out of business if it was in the city.

Wow — spicy chicken wings have SO much flavor… a sweet and spicy mixture that is perfection. Followed those up with the Beef with Garlic — yum. Lots of fresh veggies, no scrimping on the beef with a rich flavorful sauce. My daughter had the beef phở — another wow — amazing broth, tons of beef with every side ingredient you’d expect, plus more including an entire branch of fresh oriental basil ! And such a welcoming place. We’re going back very soon!

Your crazy if you haven’t already been here! Everything is cooked to order and done perfectly! Sauces balance perfectly with the dishes never overpowering the fresh ingredients. The way they prepare there meats must be unique in Asian cuisine these days because it’s actually meat that is light and tender not processed at all been going here for years and it’s consistently the best Asian restaurant I’ve ever been to. I live in Anoka and have tried everything out this way and still travel at least monthly for my craving of fresh Asian food. Not to mention that it’s a family ran business with a passionate love of their patrons and an unwavering demand for quality. Give them a try you won’t be disappointed

We had dinner there as a family tonight. I tell you, the food there is excellent — definitely above average! My wife and I love the«traditional Vietnamese» charcoal-cooked chicken over rice; it is very tender and juicy and tasty! Some of the wait staff isn’t very friendly or attentive.(The young lady that waited on us was cold) On the other hand, I was there a few weeks ago, just to pick up take-out, and they were running behind, so the guy behind the register gave me a free beer while I waited — what a nice guy! I was sold. Still, the food is good enough, we will be back, again, and again.

Awesome Tasting Vietnamese /Chinese Food: One of the best food I have had. I am a travelling software architect since 10 years. My current assignment is in Minesota. I have had many kinds of asian(chinese /vietnamese) food. But Duc’s is out of the World. I highlly recommend the food. Do NOT expect great service but the below items are out of the World especially if you like Spicy food. 1 — Coconut Curry Chicken(entrée) 2 — Curry Chicken Wings(appetizers) 3 — Vegetable Spring Rolls(appetizers) AND4 — Singapore Chicken or Sea Food Nooodles Duc’s Team — you ROCKINTASTE… but should improve customer service. Customer service feedback: you are under staffed. The staff being too busy do not realize that they are rude and showing do NOT care attitude unknowingly /knowingly. OVERALL — THEFOODISAWESOME!!!

My wife brought home leftovers from a work lunch and said«you can have the Lo Mein, but leave the xxxx chicken alone.» Later that evening, a hunger led me to the fridge and I grabbed a fork and tucked into the cold lo mein… WOW! I was expecting minnesota nice chicken lo mein and got moist coconut-y umami!!! The veggies were perfectly cooked with a slight crunch. The chicken was thinly sliced and so full of flavor. I NEVER order lo mein, rather going for more exotic menu items, but this TOGO box blew my mind. One of the only reasons i haven’t given up on humanity is my endless quest for GREAT Asian food. Slap my mouth, would have thought it would come from cold leftovers in Styrofoam?! Read a lot of so so reviews, but after the last togo rendezvous, i can’t wait to try this place in person. Who knows, there may be one more star in this reviewers future. I’m hoping this wasn’t a fluke. Can’t wait to try this in living color. EDIT: just found out i ate my wife’s Coconut Curry Chicken, NOT the Lo Mein. duh. I’m an idiot. So going to pay for this and completely understand her disappointment, now. Still can’t wait to drive here and order off the menu.

This is a family favorite restaurant. Been coming here for lunches and dinner for years. Just found new favorite dish. Hot and Spicy Tofu. Once you try it I’m sure you will order it again. Bring the kids(they ask if we can go here) and order take out regularly. Other favorites include Singapore Noodles are excellent. Curry chicken rice salad is another go to. For lunches(especially in the winter) I go for the Phở(#5). It’s especially good spiced up a little if you feel a cold coming on. It’s better than chicken soup at making you feel better. Great food, local family owned place.

We come here often and really like the food and service. We’ve been there when it was busy and when it was slow and we are welcomed with a smile every time. We’ve tried the egg rolls, chow mein, lo mein, coconut curry with vegetables, vietnamese chow mein and chicken with cashews among other selections and always receive ample meat portions with fresh vegetables. We always have enough to take home for another meal. My wife wishes the mock duck was still on the menu but she likes to try new dishes each time we go anyway. Me? I usually switch it up between the vietnamese and the chinese chow mein. I know, boring, but for me it’s just great! We’ll keep going back!

Stopped by for Vietnamese cravings– phở, spring rolls, and iced coffee. The phở broth was pretty lack luster as well as the offerings with it; just a big pile of bean sprouts, no herbs or jalapeños. The spring roll and peanut sauce weren’t very exciting either. The coffee was pretty good! Strong and nice flavor. The man working the counter was friendly and fun and I always appreciate good service so I added a star for that and the prices were right.

I just go her for their chicken eggrolls which are delicious. I’ve tried their sesame chicken and was not a fan. Mostly because it was the same type of coated chicken one would receive with sweet and sour chicken. If you are a fan of chicken eggrolls, they are worth trying!

My friend recommended this place to me so I had to try it out. Ordered the sweet and sour chicken. I loved the texture of the chicken, but the sauce itself was mediocre. I ordered it extra spicy and they ended up dumping crushed pepper flakes all over it. That doesn’t add heat, it just makes me sneeze a lot. The food was decent, but what really turned me off was the service there. My server was new and he seemed like a good guy, but I felt as if the manager or owner that was there insulted me and kept on hitting on my girlfriend. I understand the need to want to make casual conversation but we didn’t know each other well enough for him to constantly poke fun at me.

The eggrolls are excellent, but soaked in the fish sauce, well that takes them right up to terrific. I almost always order the curry chicken, and my wife, she usually gets the garlic sauce chicken.

Is there such a thing as «White guy Vietnamese»? Because I’m pretty sure that’s what we had. The salad /spring rolls were 98% lettuce, the egg rolls had a strange almost all carrot filling, and pretty much everything was underseasoned. I guess this is a small chain around the MSP area — maybe it used to be better, but there’s nothing to really recommend this place other than being open if you’re nearby.

Their spring rolls, ugh. I need to get this off my chest asap — I’m very disappointed by their spring rolls. The filling is 80% ice berg lettuce, 19% vermicelli, and 1% shrimp. That’s it. No herbs or any other vegetables. That’s all I’m going to say or I will start crying. I have dined in for lunch once, and ordered takeout for lunch recently. The first time here I got the coconut curry(meat combo). I thought it was pretty standard, but delicious because I love me some coconut curry. I got a hell of a stomach ache after though… My friend got the vegetarian phở and said it was good but not on the top of her Phở List. The good thing was that I had gotten such a generous portion of curry that I was able to stretch it into two full meals. I recently ordered off their lunch takeout menu — sesame chicken w fried rice, and a spring roll on the side. The chicken and rice are good. The chicken is battered and fried in that puffy batter. It kind of had that oily aftertaste, but was still enjoyable. There was some red pepper flakes in it but I wouldn’t say it was«spicy». They accommodated my peanut allergy and made sure none was in the dish or side sauces. This meal wasn’t quite worth it, though. It was $ 9 for the chicken & rice, and it is portion that I think most people could easily eat in one sitting. I didn’t have much leftover, and I try to stretch out my restaurant food. The spring roll was $ 2($ 3 each if you don’t add it to a meal combo), so it was $ 12(w tip) for an ok fried lunch w a pathetic spring roll. 1 star for location and 1 star for kind and quick service. The sad thing is, since it’s so conveniently close to work for me, I will probably be back here again. But maybe once I try more menu items I will have a positive update!(Maybe.)

Great chinnese food I ordered pork fried rice, egg rolls and spicy chicken. Way better then YANGS in Woodbury. Customer service was good and they don’t charge you for extra sauce:)

My wife, son and I decided to stop in here on February 4 and this will be our last visit. We ordered egg rolls, which were received cold. I ordered cashew chicken which was dry and my wife ordered chicken with vegetables that also were dry. Very disappointing. I brought this up and what we were given was a bowl of sauce that my wife and I split across our food. My son got chicken fried rice which was fine. Very disappointing.

Um, hello? This place was pretty good the first time we checked it out, so we went back. Mistake. It was a cold Friday night and we were given the table by the door, the TV and a group of loud diners. We ordered the chicken egg rolls, the hot and spicy chicken and the garlic chicken with brown rice, one DC and one water. The water and DC come quickly and then we are advised they are out of hot and spicy chicken. Fine, I picked the chicken with black bean sauce, peppers and onions instead. I can’t figure out why they were out of a dish made with chicken, vegetables and sauce. Isn’t that what most dishes are made out of? We wait, wait and wait for the egg rolls. I’m facing the counter and register. Finally the guy looks over and realizes he forgot my dining companions egg rolls. They come shortly after. He cannot finish the egg rolls before the food comes. I preferred the chicken with garlic sauce to the black bean sauce. The food portions are huge and the food was pretty good, but the service was so poor, I’m not sure I will go back.

Not completely what I expected for a place in a strip mall. Was very pleased with the experience and the interior is quite nice. Place was pretty slow for a Sunday night. We were one of three tables. I ordered the combination fried rice which was really good. Unfortunately, J ended up liking my rice too, so no left overs. Big chunks of pork, beef, shrimp and chicken along with fresh and crunchy bean sprouts. We both loved it and both remarked how un-greasy it was. It was perfect. I also ordered a small bowl of won ton soup which was a nice size and had a lot of flavor. The red chilis were a nice touch and added flavor. J ordered the chicken coconut curry which he liked. He has leftovers because I can’t stand curry and am not a big fan of coconut. So he has lunch tomorrow. Will certainly swing back if in the area or will grab some fried rice to go. That is the shiat! Service was very good.
