We came into see Dayna tonight. We had the delicious corn chowder. Enjoyed the meal and Dayna.

Came to a late dinner with my husband and newborn and got Dayna as our server. What a delight! She was so sweet, quick w getting us drinks and our meals. Provided excellent service! Definitely will be asking to sit in her section every time we come back!

I’ve dined there before and went in for a quick bite before going to see a play(01÷05÷16). I ordered my favorite item on their menu(which I always get), the hot brisket on a kaiser roll. I noticed the prices went way up and the waitress told me they no longer serve kaiser rolls! What? No longer serve kaiser rolls? This is a deli, right? What self-respecting deli doesn’t have kaiser rolls? None that I know of! So I get a french roll instead and boy! Am I ever disappointed! The meat(what little I get) is all fat and gristle and tasteless. The fries were okay, but for nearly $ 18 I’ll go someplace else from now on. Goodbye, Jerry’s, you lost a customer for life! I’m sticking with Brent’s Deli who KNOWS how to serve a sandwich… on a KAISERROLL!

We love the Matza Ball Soup and order it all the time. Our waitress, Daynak, always waits on us and is amazing. Actually all the waitresses we have had are great.

This place sucks. The food is WAYOVERPRICED. I paid $ 23 for a Pastrami sandwich and they asked me if I wanted it «New York Style» for $ 4 more. When I asked what that meant, they said it was for extra meat. Good to know that, for a $ 23 sandwich, they skimp on the meat enough to have an extra option. Anyways, the sandwich was GODAWFUL. It was so dry it was inedible. There were no toppings. The pastrami tasted like chalk. It was like chewing tire rubber. Since I was completely starving I forced myself to choke down half of it, then threw the other half in the trash. Never coming back.

This star rating in this review is for my most recent experience. I had to pop in for a very quick meal in the middle of a busy day. My server, Sue, was wonderful. She was friendly, professional, super efficient, went out of her way to get me my food quickly, and the food was cooked perfectly. At most big chains you go to, the food and the service are hit and miss. I’m sure Jerry’s is no exception; however, my experience here on this particular day was great. If you’re worried about service, ask for Sue.

Dayna, is, the, best. Love her. Sweetest lady ever. If you eat here, ask for her. Food is good, but she makes it worth it.

How is this place open? The hostess asked us to give her a few minutes to be seated… there was NOONETHERE! Is this protocol to fool people into thinking its a busy place? When we tried to order the mint slush the waitress suggested we save our $ 5 because and I quote«it’s a pain to make, and not worth it» if your own employees hate your menu, isn’t that a bad sign? We ordered the slush anyway thinking how bad can a lemonade blended with mint leaves really be? Well, turns out the bad employee was right, it was horrible. The sandwiches are not great, very bland. This is such a great location they should re-evaluate their menu and staff. Peace!

There when you need them most! I called Jerry’s after 10:30 at night(they close at 11) to ask if they could deliver some food to my son who was sick in bed. I spoke with Karla. The unusual request was that I wanted to charge the order to my credit card, not my son’s and I would not be at his home when they delivered it. This is where the caliber of your employee shines… Karla gave me her own cell number so I could take a picture of my credit card and text it to her and she placed the order online to speed things up. My son received his dinner within 30 minutes and everything in the order was perfect! What impressed me the most was the fact that Karla was careful to protect her employer but still managed to accommodate my needs as a customer. She is a true asset to Jerry’s., Hold on to her. I congratulate you in your ability to hire a star!

I placed a delivery order and to my great surprise and joy the food arrived very soon and the driver was polite and engaging. I should have eaten him. I’m not Gay; I’m a straight Black man who was HUNGRY. I’ve NEVER written an online food review and ALL I ever eat is ordered over the net. I was starving and what Jerry sent me was… bad. The Egg Cream I ordered looked like light brown water. I wish it were because light brown water would have tasted better. Hell, light brown POOP would have tasted better. I’m from New York, we invented the Egg Cream I know of what I speak. This was as far from a Egg Cream as Donald Thump is from being a Black Mexican member of Isis with long flowing blond real hair wearing a CAPITALISMISEVIL button. A REAL Egg Cream is frothy combination of bubbly seltzer, frosty cold milk and sugary chocolate syrup and Jerry’s Egg Cream? The only thing remotely like a real Egg Cream was it was wet. The Egg Cream was bad but the pastrami sandwich was just HORRIBLE. The pastrami was SUPERDRY however to be fair the wheat bread was moist and fresh the only issue was I ordered sourdough. The rest of the toppings, melted American cheese, sauerkraut, and mustard were just what I ordered. JUST what I ordered but NOWHERE to be found in the 20(seemed like) bags the food came in. The Matzo Ball soup–(YEAH, I’m Black and I love Matzo Ball soup, what of it?) the soup wasn’t bad in fact it was pretty good. I just wish I had more, the bowl they give you is pretty big, but most of my soup was no longer in its container it was at the bottom of the plastic the container was wrapped in. I don’t know about you but I’m a wee bit weary of eating soup from the bottom of a germ infested plastic sack. The lid was still AT the top of the container but not ON the container. This left me with a BLT sandwich that was not bad and a banana split-which was going to be my midnight snack. I hadn’t had a banana spilt in DECADES. This BS should have come with directions because instead of making the damn thing at Jerry’s they packed ALL the ingredients in separate containers. Container 1 Vanilla Ice Cream Container 2 Chocolate Ice Cream Container 3 Whipped Cream Container 4 chocolate syrup Container 5 sprinkles Container 6 nuts As much as I hated all the containers and then having to do the work I wished I had one more container… WHEREWERETHEDAMNBANANAS??? So like I said, I should have eaten the delivery guy.

Stopped by last night for dinner with the family. Place was clean. Food was as expected. Service was prompt and tentative. I want to comment on our waiter Ignaci. Don’t normally Unilocal with this in mind but just wanted to say that I was impressed with the level of service that he provided us. He checked on us more than twice during our dinner course, which is a practice I would only expect at a high end restaurant and not a deli. Thank you so much for doing a great job at what sometimes is a thankless profession. Keep up the good work Ignaci!

Three words… Staph Food Poisoning. I had lunch here on December 31, 2015. Within hours after lunch, I was feeling nauseous and in bed(missing New Years) awakened to vomiting and abdominal cramps. All from a ½ turkey club sandwich w/well done fries w/a side of baked beans and potato salad. DONOT eat here… I have a stomach of steel and NEVER get food poisoning. Today, 1÷3÷16 is the first day I’ve felt semi normal to function.

I don’t normally walk into Jerry’s Deli. Last time I was at one, my buddies and I went to the Studio City location after a late night of drinking. Simply put, I arrived tonight with some friends just because it was convenient and a place to sit down and eat late evening on a Sunday night. Food: I had breakfast for dinner. Corned beef hash, eggs over easy, potatoes and toast. You can’t screw up this meal. My only qualm was that the toast was a little too hard, but it’s not a big deal. Everything else in my meal and my friends’ meal was prepared and delivered exactly how it should be. The MAIN reason why I wanted to write this review was for our server, Dayna K. She was freaking awesome! Compared to other restaurants, what she did different was her ability to be funny, smart, outgoing and personable. At the table, we were talking about fantasy football and clutch situations. Unfortunately, I was stumped and couldn’t explain what«clutch» meant in sports. Dayna, with an arm-full of dirty plates, stood with us for a good 10 minutes talking and joking sports with us. Not often that a server would casually do that in the middle of her shift. Respect!

This has to be the WORST location EVER! I’m a huge fan of Matzo Ball soup. For the past 2 visits I’ve tried ordering this & first visit, they’re out of shredded chicken. Second visit(right now)… They’re out of Matzo ball… I still get asked if I want the chicken soup portion of it… Excuse me??? For crying out loud! It’s called Matzo ball soup!!! Why would I want just the chicken portion of it??? This Jerry needs to get their act together & order ample food. Geez. I’m SO turned off right now. Another thing: I’m HUGE on customer service as I always start all my reviews. Tell me why this lonely establishment takes a good 3 mins to seat me when there is NO one waiting. Terrible!

Still one of my go to places for matzo ball soups. Great for when I’m not feeling so well like today. My friends call it the Jewish penicillin, and rightfully so!!! It works! The pickles are always yummy too. I guess the negative is that the prices are way too high for their food. If you’re gonna charge so much, step up the quality & portions to match it.

It was OK, I took my kids and one of their friends here for breakfast. I’m kinda annoyed that their kids menu does not have prices so to me that mean’s don’t be shocked when your kids meal is as much as yours. My son got the Chicken Tenders and fries meal, the meal had 3 huge pieces of chicken so that was really nice. I tried a piece of chicken and the breading was light and the chicken was tender and juicy. I got the ham steak, home fries and eggs over easy. I won’t get it again, the ham steak was very tender, like a gelatinous tender with no texture. That was gross!!! Everything else was good. My daughter got the kids«spaghetti and meatballs». It should have been called«spaghetti and meatball». her meal only had one meatball. It was OK, I’ll go again but not get the hamsteak ever again. Service is always good at JFD so that is a huge plus.

Jerry’s Deli is great. I love how vast their selection is. What I don’t like is how long it typically takes me to get my check. It’s tough for me to catch my wait or or waitress again after our food arrives. The matzo ball soup is very delectable and goes very well with the bagel chips.
