Love this bar always my go-to place whenever. Andrew is the best, takes care of his customers and makes sure you are having the time of your life! 5 stars all the way!

When the Woodland Hills location opened a couple years ago it was hopping on warm evenings. Stopped by tonight and it was quite empty. Probably due to the terrible service. We were ignored by a waiter for over 15 minutes but he had no trouble checking in on nearby tables. When my husband finally went to the bar to see if we could get some service, he was told the kitchen had just closed. We will NOT be returning.

Pretty cool spot, I’ve been here a couple of times now and really enjoyed the vibe, drinks, and food. Great indoor/outdoor bar location, on weekends they have a Bloody Mary bar which was fun! Food wise, everything I have tried has been great! I really loved the Apple Brie Pancakes *drool* so good! Must try!

We always get great service at The Local Peasant in Woodland Hills. We always have a fun time and love the food and wine selection! The Rainbow Salad is my personal favorite. We don’t eat beef or pork but still have lots of options. Kale Caesar, Crab cakes, the pizzas, mussels and so much more!

I came here on a date Saturday night. Atmosphere was jump in hot asked to be seated near the rear so it wasn’t so loud they took care of that. I’m a vegetarian and I highly recommend the salad edamame. Although I don’t drink my date said she had a wonderful bottle of wine. And I guess it didn’t break the bank.

Came here under recommendations of coworkers because of their Mac n Cheese was supposed to be amazing. They had a great selection of beers. And I mean like beers that I might not even have again cause they’re so hard to find. I had the Founders 15KBS Imperial Stout. This is an 11.9% beer but was the best stout I’ve ever had. They have an incredibly unique selection and if you’re looking for a watered down Budlight, you’re in the wrong place. I also had the South City cocktail. Gin with simple syrup mint and cucumber. That was pretty good. Then we had the Mac n Cheese. I have been searching high and low for restaurants with the best Mac n Cheese cause I’m a total Mac n Cheese-aholic. This place did NOT disappoint. This was one of the best Mac n cheese plates I’ve ever had. With potato chip flakes on top, truffle cheese I believe and bacon, oh man I wanted so much more. But I wanted to try a different meal. The regular burger was meh. Something I could make at home. The meat wasn’t bursting with flavor. My friend got the Peasant burger and he said it was good, especially since it has an egg and different ingredients. The fries were also meh. They were very good with the house sauce but as is they aren’t great. I’d would love to come back here for the beers and the Mac n Cheese. The burgers aren’t that great so I won’t be getting those again.

I gave this place a three stars but it really should have been 3.5 stars! Went there last night for my friend’s birthday dinner. First of all, I really like the layout of this place. It was open and had a modern feel to it. The waiter was very nice by changing the tv for us so my boyfriend court watch the game. Now to the best part, the food and drinks here were amazing. My boyfriend and I ordered pretzel and marinated ok view as appetizer. We ordered short rib and chicken stew as our entrees. We also ordered the jelly donuts for desert. I was slightly disappointed that the jelly donuts were not soft. Overall I had a great time here and would definitely come back!

Love the food, drinks, and atmosphere at Local Peasant. The only thing that I don’t understand are all the reserved seatings. We came on a Sunday and was not crowded at all. We wanted to sit outside and the host said that they were all reserved. We ended up sitting inside, which was pleasant… However, no one sat at the outside«reserved» tables… I ordered the crab cake Benedict and it was delicious. Loved it and would order it again. Though, I probably would get something else just to try something new. I am sure everything is good. I also ordered a St. Germaine drink off the weekend brunch menu and loved it. I got 2 of them! I have been to Local Peasant a handful of times and everything I have ordered was great! I have had their burger, pork belly and watermelon, pizza… All yummy! As far as drinks, I have had their El Diablo and strawberry beer(I think). Again, both very good… I will definitely be back!

This place is fun. The appetizers a delicious and the food here is flavorful. I always get he El Diablo every time I come here. This place is a nice casual place with a bit of noise. I like it. It’s perfect for a night out with the girls or a casual catching up. This is also very good for a casual date.

I’m actually going to make this short and sweet. Can’t say many bad things about TLP. Loved the food, good beer list, atmosphere and vibes were great. Great spot in the west valley to come after a long day to just wind down. Highly recommend!

Where to start with The Local Peasant, I wish they had ½ stars… anyway, this was my first time coming for breakfast as usually I visit the restaurant at night and have enjoyed the food/atmosphere and usually I have a good evening here. This review is solely for breakfast as I may rate it differently for dinner! A few things to mention about the restaurant, it is located on Ventura Boulevard which is a busy street, they offer valet parking at $ 4.00 a car but if you can find metered parking on the streets, that works out fine as well(on Sunday there is no cost for the meters). I had never known that they offered brunch, they only offer brunch on Saturday/Sunday. The menu for breakfast is very limited(one of the reasons for 3 stars), they offer coffee but they serve the coffee in a paper cup(that’s a huge no no for me) giving me the feeling of a take out restaurant instead of a sit down restaurant. I ordered the omelet(they only have one omelet) and it was very good, I loved how the sausage was sliced nice and thin vs cubed and I also loved that the eggs did not overpower the rest of the ingredients… for that I’d of rated a 5 star. I was with a friend who ordered the Chicken Chilaquiles, his dish looked like a great balance of beans/chicken and eggs although it seemed to have too many tortillas(I’d order the tortilla on the side or remove them altogether). We sat outside on the patio which was lovely but noisy from the cars passing by on Ventura Boulevard. Inside seating was empty, initially and loud as they had music playing(which was why we sat outside) and as people came in the music was softer. They offer a community table that is great at night as it gives you an idea of what others are ordering so you can see what you might want to order. Would I go back again for breakfast? No, I’d stick to dinner. I hope my review helps you for breakfast.

Great food and great beers on tap. Excellent service as well until… Horrible valet service. They just returned my car with paint smudges and scratches and immediately defaulted to «this is old». I always walk around my car after parking valet because I’m smart but that raised suspicion with one of the attendants who told me I noticed it right away, insinuating I’m a liar. This CLEARLY is not ok. Until TLP can employ a responsible valet service, it is against everything I stand for to return.

Came here for the first time for brunch(which is only served on the weekend 11a-3p) with a large group. My friend had reserved the front patio area for our party days prior but there was apparently a mix up and the reservation went to another group. We were, however, accommodated inside. The establishment realized their blunder and the manager(?) came by and spoke to my friend directly and apologized. They even threw in some desserts to make up for their mistake. Had they not acknowledged this issue, they would have definitely had fewer stars, but I really find it admirable when an establishment owns up to their mistakes; it shows that they value customer patronage. The food itself was really good. I tried the lemon ricotta pancakes, which came in a stack of 3 with some berries on the side as well as some of their pork belly, which is served with roasted potatoes, egg and grilled tomato. I’d never tried either and liked them both. I’d come back. I did find the parking situation a bit of a nuisance. Either park at a nearby meter with a 2 hour limit or pay $ 4 for valet in their tiny lot. I ended up paying for valet so I didn’t have to worry about the meter running out but I typically find valet too frilly. I guess that’s what you deal with when you hang out on Ventura Blvd. though. Also, there is no signage visible from the street, nothing that says«Local Peasant» so good luck finding it.

Went here for happy hour at about 5 pm and almost all tables had reserve signs on them, so location you could sit at was very limited. Alot of work gatherings going on. Started by ordering sangria, it was terrible! I love sangria and I never send drinks back, but both my friend and I were grossed out. I replaced it by ordering a drink called the El Diablo and that was delicious! Ended up getting 3 of them. A little dissapointing that they don’t have a happy hour menu, that is something that makes after hours drinks something to look forward to. The food is a bit pricey so happy hour deals would be nice. However we ordered the ceviche & the tuna tartar. The way they come served is super cute, they come in little mason jars. Both dishes were delicious. The server was very nice and I will be returning.

Driving down Ventura Blvd, I would easily miss this place if I didn’t know about. The place has valet parking for $ 4, but the lot itself is pretty small, so I can only imagine how hectic parking can be on a busy night. The place itself is pretty open and big. There is plenty of patio seating. There is a large bar, and also a Bloody Mary bar! I’m not a fan of bloody Mary’s, but those who are would surely appreciate it. I love the whole theme of the place. But what I didn’t like, was the seating we were placed at. We got seated in a corner booth, of seven people. I think people with big groups whose sat in booths can understand why this can be such a hassle, getting in and out. That whole booth area seemed a bit crammed. Almost like they want to cram all the big groups in one little area. Anyways, this was everyone’s first visit, except for my one friend who was raving about this place, and claimed that everything from their fries to their Mac and cheese was really good. I settled with the Peasant Burger that had a fried egg with a side of onion rings. The server was kind, and she tended to us when needed. The food came out not too long later. I was pretty impressed with how the burger was. However I was disappointed that my egg broke and it began to ooze down my platter. Maybe, a little less easy next time? Overall the burger was good. It was pretty tasty. It was pretty simple with the buns, patty, cheese, the egg, and then half of a slice of pickle. The onion rings themselves were ok. They were really big, but I didn’t like how they we’re battered. For the amount of food, and the price, it was a fairly good deal. I was full by the time I was half way done. I had to mention the fries. Although I did not personally order it as my side, these fries are like thick cut pieces of potatoes! Not a really a fan of their fries just because they were ginormous. I couldn’t even call them fries. As a last word, this place could be a cool hangout place during a weekend. The bar is big and the outside patio is specious. As far as food, I would probably only come here for the drinks.

This is the 2nd time my family and I have been here and it’s been good. Just don’t order anything fried because when it comes out, you can feel yourself already gaining weight and your cholesterol spiking by looking at the deep fried mess. Service was great but I noticed that they don’t have signage outside the building so you need to make sure you know where you’re going. We ordered the following: Bacon and cheddar pretzel with grain mustard($ 7) — Huge pretze, this one pretzel gave me my carb intake for the week. However, it was very tasty. Rainbow Heirloom Salad($ 14) — the best plate on the menu. Huge chunks of beets, tomatoes and burrata cheese.. I can seriously live off of this salad. Fried Zucchini — It was good, but I’m warning you about the greasiness of the batter. I peeled the fried coating off and just ate the zucchini so it was good. Fish and chips($ 16) — GREASE, GREASE, GREASE. You’ll see my picture where I have a pile of grease soaked batter on my plate. When it got served to me, I think the button on my jeans popped off. Grilled Cheese and Tomato Bisque — This was the 2nd best dish we had. The tomato bisque was creamy and full of flavor. I will definitely go again and just order the Rainbow Heirloom Salad and Grilled Cheese and Tomato Bisque.

hold on — really mad at myself for not already leaving this review as many times as ive been to local peasant. gotta get my Unilocal game on lock… OK I LOVELOCAL. Ive been here a zillion times for food, as well as just for the bar. I love that it’s located far off of everything else on ventura — so it never gets too crazy in here. OKTHEFOOD. Ive had a number of different things on the menu. Some really good(cheese plate, kale salad, dem jenga fries) just ok(ceviche, flatbread pizza) and the eh(sliders, mac n cheese). but nothing that totally sucks. they have a large menu so ordering to your liking is definitely not a problem. OKTHEDRINKS. A few of the specialty cocktails ive had are a little too sweet for my liking(i luh sweet drinks tho so likely my fault for picking those with the intent of wanting something sweet and getting too damn sweet lol). Normal mixed cocktails are fine, and the beer selection is awesome! they have a number or really rare beers that are phenomenal! Ask your server for recs, most of the staff here is well knowledged on the menu. OKTHEVIBE. local is HUGE! ive never been seatless here and they have a really fantastic layout. This is perfect for small groups or big groups, but also really intimate too(if that makes sense). OKCOMEHEREYOUWILLLOVEIT!

We only came here for drinks so I cannot review the food. Late Saturday evening on our way out this was on our way so we stopped for a drink. Pretty full inside so we sat outside, they have plenty of heaters, so it was actually really warm, especially since they close it off. Service was great, good menu both for food and drinks, I enjoyed both drinks I had. Prices are a bit high, but the quality was great. It can get really noisy, but outside is perfect for a more quiet date. I will have to come back for the food but for now the drinks are worth a visit!

The food was soo bad. I would never give this place another try, the chicken sandwich burger was flavorless, super soggy, oily and the bun even broke apart and overall disgusting. Even the fries were awful, super thick steak fries and the onion rings tasted awful, the oil must have been used over and over again, it was tasteless and just blehh. The ambience is cool but the service really sucked and just overall it wasn’t a pleasant experience. I can’t believe we paid so much for the horrible food and service. Wouldn’t ever come back! Ohhh and the worst part: the dessert even even sucked. How can dessert be bad. The flourless chocolate cake is a total no go! Don’t even waste your money the couple that sat next to us too didn’t even finish it.
