Buck’s is at the core of deal-making and financing activity in Silicon Valley. Iconic and fun at the same time. Staff is outstanding, prices are reasonable and Jamis keeps piling in with more curia for his collection. Highest recommend.

Let me start off by saying that this place is extraordinarily priced for what they offer. 4 $ for a soda? 7 $ for a beer? Uh No thank you. I ordered the $ 18 beef tacos. They were very sub par. It is not a nice place, smells odd and rustic, but not in a good way? The décor on the wall is covered in dust. Lunch for 5 people was over 100 $ for 3 club sandwhiches, tacos, and calamari. Right next door there was a better restaurant called«Woodside Bakery and Café.» They had a brick oven for pizza, a fantastic wine list, and arguably the best deserts in town. Roberts market(the grocery store across the street and also the land owner) doubled the Bakery’s rent one month and forced them out of business. Meanwhile, mediocre Bucks gets to stay open and serve awful food for outrageous prices. Bravo Roberts Market. Apparently Bucks is where the big business meetings go down in Silicon Valley. They must have more money than common sense. You would think a small quiet hole in the wall like Woodside Bakery would be a perfect setting for the movers and shakers to go, but oh well. Evil Roberts go their way, and I just figured people should know how corrupt this is.

Great service and our food was fantastic. There was no wait(at 10am on Saturday!) but there is quite a crowd now(11am). There is so many cool things to look at on the walls which, in my opinion, is the coolest thing about this place. Only reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 was that it is a little pricey($ 4 for a cup of coffee, $ 5 for a side of bacon and most meals were over $ 10). We will likely be back though :)

The crab melt was delicious, and the treasure hunt kids menu kept them absorbed long enough for me to actually eat it without an impromptu tantrum. From business deals to cranky kiddos, Bucks seems to have the magical formula to handle it all…

I have been hear many times and overall pretty good. I would have liked to give it a 4 but we both agreed this trip was a 3. I had a shrimp/crab louie for 22.95 and it wasn’t really a meal sized salad. My mate had chicken picata and overall he report it was good but not spectacular. I think if you stick with burgers and whatnot for breakfast this will rate out a 4, still a classic and if you have not been here try it out.

‘Visited Buck’s less for their food, & more for their eccentric antique-y décor & history of being a birthplace/incubator for techy entrepreneurial ideas(Netscape, Hotmail, PayPal, Tesla, etc.). You’ll find anything from cars and flying nun fixtures on the ceilings to shoes & showcased colorful teeth molds on the walls. Kids were bustling around doing scavenger hunts. Food was not bad, but pricey for what it is. Fun, wacky Silicon Valley visit stop.

The potatoes and the omlette were a tad bit off, i have had better at Alice’s honestly, however the ambiance is really good, like a exquisite dinner… doesn’t look like much from the outside but its a really cool place to visit Friendly staff, nice vibe, i’d go again

I love Bucks. I especially loved that as we’re driving there, he says, no we don’t need a reservation, its sunday morning and its foggy and everyone’s asleep! I pay him no mind and make a reservation. Fifteen minutes later, we are there, parked and walking in find a huge line, which thanks to yours truly, we bypass. Sweet! I love the eccentric and different vintage items hanging from the ceiling, decorating the walls, sills and even the bathrooms. I really loved the funeral hair wreath made by southern women that is framed near the women’s room. Sooooo eerie! Food was great, fresh squeezed OJ super tasty, pancakes divine!

This place is terrible, don’t go here!!! Okay, hopefully that keeps away the tourists and city folk so I can get a table. If you’re reading this far, this place rocks. I love the food, the service is great, the atmosphere is awesome. The parking is a little tight since it’s so popular. Definitely a good spot for breakfast.

Pretty sure we ordered everything on the menu. ;) The blueberry pancakes were perfection. The omelette divine. Bacon crisp and heavenly. Coffee and juice exactly as I like them. I would only suggest they make almond milk and organic raw honey available and I’ll give them six stars. The décor and ambiance are pretty great, too.

How many places can you go for breakfast or lunch and see horses tied up alongside Ferrari’s, BMW’s and Mercedes Benz’s? Besides wondering who the who’s who is wandering about this Silicon Valley hi-tech hangout, the cool décor of this place is a downright 60’s acid trip. See the uploaded pictures. The burgers we had here were nothing short of perfect as was the turkey melt with delicious avocado. The service was excellent and friendly. Reservations are recommended.

The décor is eccentric and fun. I had a garden burger which came with fries and a spicy tahini sauce. It was $ 12.50 and a Crystal Geyser sparkling water was more than $ 4. My partner had a more elaborate«signature» dish of artichokes stuffed with on one side shrimp salad and the other half with a lobster salad. She enjoyed it but was it worth $ 22? We were in Woodside and knew Buck’s was an «institution» but I don’t think we’d go out of our way to return.

Best brunch in the South Bay. Buck’s does NOT disappoint. The interior is a blast, right down to the bathrooms. Looking around brings me right back to being a little kid perusing antique shops with my dad — some of my fondest memories. I thought I saw almost everything here, yet I discover new things each time. Food-wise, I have been very happy with the Dr. Perkins Breakfast Special. I’ve been so tempted to try some of their other breakfast items, not to mention the menu at large, but if it ain’t broke… The last time I had it, I swapped out the swiss cheese for avocado(the waitress actually said she does the same), and it was phenomenal. I could eat that all day. Veggie omelette topped with a very generous portion of avocado, plus toast and mixed fruit. Heaven! Some of my friends’ meals have included the Croissant French Toast with«real» maple syrup and Build-Your-Own Omelette. Both were just as happy as I was. The only bone I have to pick is the coffee. $ 4 for black coffee. Really? Considering my favorite coffee«splurge»(a cappuccino) never costs that much, I just can’t bring myself to pay $ 4 for plain coffee.

Randomly just saw that this place was open and we were hungry for some eats so we pulled into the parking lot. Well not knowing what we were walking into and then seeing the eclectic décor — not sure what kind of cuisine it was going to be. The décor reminds me of Buca di Beppo if it had a crack cousin. The food was modern American style food. Ok, that I can handle. This has got to be the most expensive burger I’ve ever gotten. $ 15 for a mushroom burger. Wow! Well it definitely came with a butt ton of mushrooms. I almost didn’t see the patty with all the mushrooms they gave me which sort of made be feel better. However, the mushrooms were overcooked and burnt which I could taste. Bleehhh! The fries, which they were skimpy on, were the typical frozen kind. Ugh, just utterly disappointed.

I met the family for lunch on Saturday at BUCK’S OFWOODSIDE. The place is a trip. The décor is like a hoarders delight! There isn’t an inch of this place that isn’t decorated! Even the ceiling is packed with hanging planes, helicopters, cars and space ships. The kids menu includes a scavenger hunt of sorts for the kids to look around and find a giant anaconda skin, etc… The menu is very wide. They have sandwiches, burgers, salads, breakfast, etc. I was jonesing for breakfast and ordered the chorizo scramble with homemade corn tortillas. The food was good, lone complaint is that they only gave two tiny tortillas. I asked for more, the waitress clearly wasn’t feeling it — she told me it was a 5 minute wait for more. I was cool with that. So I sat and waited for some freshies and let my scramble get cold. The tortillas never came. Everyone at the table was pleased and I would definitely return. But there are some red flags… The food was a touch pricey(Woodside factor) and parking is tough(near a very popular bike trail). 3.75 stars…

Better than Denny’s but waaaaaaaaaay more expensive and waaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyy slower. $ 82 for two one letter, one salad, and one kids meal — after tax and 15% tip. Did I mention the $ 4 coffee? Coffee better than Denny’s but you it isn’t Blue Bottle. Plan to spend at least an hour once you are seated. More than enough time to pitch your unicorn.

Above average diner food at above average prices. Buck’s is a «historical landmark» in Woodside famous for meetings that were had and their kitchy, unusual décor which is plastered all over their walls, ceilings, and tables. The food is on the expensive side(my filet mignon sandwich was $ 21) while being incredibly mediocre. I’m not really sure why anyone would pay this much for sub-par food except that there aren’t many brunch options in the area and Woodside Bakery(next door) has 1+ hour waits. The food is edible but expensive and not worth visiting.

Came to Buck’s after the boy read a story about it in a book somewhere. I came on Unilocal and should have trusted the reviews to not come here, but I don’t like to tell him«no» especially over something as silly as where we should eat. Arrived into the parking lot where there are plenty of bikers and motorcycles. Parking is plentiful but not much in the shade. We came inside and stood there blindly as we waited to be helped. What looked like to be the owner having a full on conversation, we felt ignored. We contemplated leaving, when we made eye contact with a woman who would later become our waitress. We looked over the menu and saw that prices were quite high. We thought okay, portions must be big. We decided to share a burger, order it medium. Boy, were we so disappointed. The burger came out burnt. Needless to say, we didn’t want to send it back as we’ve already spent about 30 minutes of our time here. Thank goodness for having ketchup to drown the burger in and to trick our psyche into thinking the burger is moist. There was a measly amount of fries, and our burger was lucky to be maybe ¼ inch thin, think McDonald“s thin. It certainly didn’t look fresh, had that perfect circle shape and tasted frost bitten. Service was decent, was never approached to see how our food was. By the time she did came, she saw our plates were empty and asked if we wanted more. We figured we’d spare ourselves stomachaches and remove ourselves as quick as possible for Buck’s to explore elsewhere in the area. Bottom line is even if we were starving, we wouldn’t return to Buck’s. It was an epic fail!

Bucks has that«out of the way, old world charm» to it. We came on a Sunday for a late brunch and was suprised to find that there wasnt a wait. Parking though is a different matter altogether. That was a pain in the a**! I went ahead and ordered their special of chilaquiles. I’ve heard about this dish but never had the chance to try it. It was delicious. The tortillas were crispy and the green sauce was delicious. Definitely order this if it’s available. Also tried their croissant french toast. It was good but could’ve been a bit crispier on the outside. You can do a half order if you want to add it to your meal. Husband got the ham and cheese omelet. He said it was good but how hard is it to whip up one of these? The homestyle fries were seasoned nicely. I prefer these over the hashbrowns. Service was fast and efficient. Not sure if I would come back since it’s really out of the way but it was a good experience and glad i tried it. 4 stars

The crab sammi and soft tacos were great and we had a fun time perusing the cool stuff covering the walls and hanging from the ceiling.
