This is no longer Tacos Jalisco. It is the 2nd location for Tacos Don Nacho. I ordered a carne asada burrito with no rice, a pastor tostada, and a carnitas taco with no onion. The tostada was really good as was the green salsa. The taco was good but had onion on it. I saw the guy write no onion so it was the cook who did not make it right, not cool. Keeping in mind I was the only person there at the time so no other orders to be distracted by. I thought the taste of the pastor was a little better than the carnitas. The burritos are heavy so be prepared. It was very well seasoned with good ingredients in it. The only thing was I got the order to go and it got soggy pretty quickly. I will not hold this aganst them because it is only fair to judge a place by how the food is right when you get it. I will eat there next time. I don’t even know what to think about getting a lime wedge that literally had no juice in it. The pulpy fibers were all frayed and dry. That was pretty disturbing because it had to be really old or he gave me one that already had the juice squeezed from it. Makes me wary, but I liked the food enough overall to give it another go. Fair prices and the guy at the window was nice. I like the outdoor seating too

Great fresh tacos. Nice to sit outside on a nice day. Too bad they can’t serve beer and it would be amazing. I had the carnitas, pastor, asade tacos. Kids had grilled chicken and steak quesadillas and they really liked them.

The food is ok but the service is awful. We were the only ones there @ the time & she couldn’t remember if we paid or not. Then they shorted us 2 tacos we paid for. I went back & they didn’t want to give me a free taco for my trouble.

This place is excellent. Let’s hope the new change in name doesn’t mean a change in quality of food and service… Why does it say closed? Are they just closed on Monday? It’s a little confusing. Anyway, GO. It’s delicious and cheap. A jewel!

Tried this place over the weekend, and we liked it enough that we’d go back if we were hungry and in the area, but not enough that we’d go out of our way to go here over some of the other taco trucks in the Northern RI area. Maybe it’s the fact that we’re kind of boring and just order chicken burritos everywhere we go, but we weren’t overly impressed by them here. The beans are refried instead of black beans, and the majority of the burrito was lettuce and beans, with trace amounts of chicken. This was a bit disappointing considering this place was a bit more expensive than others we’ve been to, and yet we felt like we got less. People should also be aware that this is a food truck style place, so don’t expect to be able to sit inside if it’s raining. They do have some outside picnic tables on their attached deck, which was great on a nice day! The sauces were good, and the service was super friendly, but next time I’m craving a burrito, I’m a lot more likely to head to one of our go-to Pawtucket spots instead.

The tacos here are seriously delicious. I’m certainly not the authority on authentic Mexican cuisine, but it tasted good to me! Only 1.50 and just full of toppings. I got a steak and a chicken and the meat on both was awesome and perfectly cooked. I will definitely be back for lunch and will bring friends!

Had my first taco today from Tacos Jalisco, but it won’t be my last. SO yummy. I also tried a tamale and they were really tasty too, but I would have liked sauce of some kind on top. Very friendly service and fast! I will be back.

After reading so many good reviews, my family and I stopped by yesterday for the first time. Have to agree with everyone else posting about this place — REALLY enjoyed the things we got there. I had corn tortilla tacos w/chorizo, steak, and the carnitas(pork). I don’t know how they made the chorizo but it was awesome as were the other two fillings. No roasted Jalapeño or Salsa Verde, but got some nice red hot sauce and the fresh cilantro, onions, and squeeze of lime from the wedges they provide really made the flavors pop. I also got a Tamale which was very good as well! My son got a dinner with a small whole roasted fish which he really liked(sorry, I forgot the proper name for the dish) and my wife also got tacos which she loved. They DO take call ahead orders, but do NOT have a menu or website. The phone is(401) 766‑4264 Will be back(and often I suspect) to get some more of those tacos!

Authentic Mexican cuisine. The owners are nice people and they are helpful if you are a first-timer there. I like the chicken tacos there with the green sauce on the side. The burritos are generous and they come with rice and beans. There is an outside area to dine only, this place is not restaurant style its a taco stand just to inform anyone that might go on a rainy day expecting for inside seating.

I love it’s take out style window setup. My pork burrito has tempted me to go back for other things. I think my rating will increase

I’ve been to LA, and these tacos are as legit as it can get. The place is small only outdoor seating or take it to go. All the food is cooked to order very authentic. I’ve had all the tacos my favorite is the pastor, carnitas and chorizo. Nothing like wack-o bell covering up everything with sour cream and sauces. the flavor of the meats and simple ingredients speak for themselves. i just wish this place was open late, when i got those late night cravings i would love to smash on 15 of these tacos oufffff

My husband and I decided to check out this place after reading all the great reviews. We ordered asada, lengua, and chorizo tacos. They were all very good and I love the salsa verde they serve with it. I really like the Mexican soda. Service was friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back to try more! The only thing that could’ve made it better is a cervaza with my taco, but hey you can’t have everything. You can not beat the price. This is quality cheap eats.

Just when I thought New England was a complete taco wasteland, I found Tacos Jalisco. Carne Asada, pastor and carnitas are good, but ohhhh the lengua. Juicy, soft braised beef tongue. Nice and soupy. So goood… Word to the wise… make sure you order tacos with corn tortillas, otherwise they will give you crappy gringo style tacos. Also, I don’t know what the deal is with the horchata. They almost never have it, and are usually like, «come back in 2 hours.»

Update: I’ve visited Tacos Jalisco over a dozen times since I first started coming here a few months ago, and this place by far has the best tacos I’ve had in New England. My top choices here are the carnitas and chorizo with salsa verde. I live in Providence, and although there’s some good and more convenient options for tacos nearby, even so I’m tempted to make the 20 minute drive for the best ones. Which are here. No doubt about it. Carry out or picnic table seating only outside. Please tip well, I need these guys to thrive, I’m going to have some serious taco withdrawal without them! — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — - Great first visit. Very good flavor(I had a carnitas and al pastor taco), lower than average pricing, efficient service. I’m smacking my lips for my next visit, which will be soon. Outdoor seating only.

Finally some place that rivals El Rancho Grande. Outstanding… everything made to order, fresh, and the best part affordable! Only downside is there is no indoor seating. ASOFTODAYTHEYDOINFACTTAKEDEBITORCREDITCARDANDTHEPHONENUMBERIS766‑4264.

I have been twice this week for lunch, cannot get enough of their fresh real food that bursts with flavor! Have had the steak(Carne), roast pork(pastor), chocken(pollo) and tongue tacos — all delicious. My wife had the spicy shrimp that featured 9 shrimp, beans and rice… outstanding! Try the grapefruit Mexican soda. The owner, Jesus Mendez is friendly and rightfully proud of this new addition to the local dining scene.

Great burritos(and quesadillas, and tacos)! We heard about this place on the radio and were a bit dubious — boy were were surprised. This is a family that is very particular about their burritos. These easily passed muster and are so much cheaper(and a lot closer) than Cilantro and Chipotle and Q’doba. I hear it’s authentic. I’m a complete gringo and can’t speak to that, but the ingredients are good and the food is very well prepared. The service has also been first rate every time. It’s cash only, but it’s so cheap you can get a meal for the change under your seat(well, almost). Don’t let the location fool you. There is plenty of parking, it’s safe, and everyone I’ve met there is friendly(just watch for the foot traffic crossing Social St. when you are driving up). BTW: It’s not on the menu, but their fish burritos are also really good. Can’t wait to try the tongue! I really hope this little taco stand makes it(and I know I’ll do my part).

What a TREAT! Real Mexican food… in RI! This is authentic, fresh, honest food. A co-worker(also a transplant from Cali) recommended Jalisco, and I only wish I’d stopped sooner. Everything on the menu can be made with a choice of: carne asada(steak), pastor(Mexican bbq pork), pollo(chicken) or carnitas(shredded pork).(They also offer lengua — cow’s tongue — for those with a more adventurous taste. Food that tastes you back… Who knew?!) We ordered 3 different tacos — $ 1.50/ea — with carnitas, carne asada and pastor, and I still can’t pick a favorite. These are not your Taco Bell tacos– they come on fresh, doubled-up corn tortillas, packed with meat, cilantro and onions. That’s it. Unless you squeeze some fresh juice from the lime provided(I did) and add some of the delicious fresh salsa(the green is mild and delicious and the red is hot and delicious). I’m sure you could get cheese and sour cream as well, but it’s not needed(and this is from a cheese-a-holic). Our take out order came garnished with traditional radish slices and the most delicious roasted jalapeño. If you want a taco with everything, you can order their«Three Tacos» plate — they’re made with flour tortillas, meat, lettuce, tomato, cheese and sour cream and served with rice and beans. We also tried a chicken Jalisco Burrito. You know how you get burritos at some places and they just don’t get the ratios right? You bite into a cold glob of sour cream, or nothing but rice? Yeah, this is not that kind of burrito. It was perfectly balanced and just delicious. The rest of the menu includes tostadas, quesadillas, tortas(Mexican sandwich), Caesar salads(chicken or shrimp), plated dishes with rice/beans/guac — Carne asada, pollo a la parrilla, camaron a la diabla(spicy shrimp), camarones mojo de ajo(shrimp and mushrooms in butter and garlic), a Los Primos plate(with chicken, steak and shrimp) and mojarra frita. They also offer Tostadas de ceviche and shirmp cocktail. And on Saturdays and Sundays(drumroll please…) they serve homemade menudo!(Oh, and they have those wonderful Mexican fruit sodas made with real cane sugar as well– yum!) As the other reviewer mentioned– it is spotless and everyone that works there is friendly and excited about the food they’re making– happy to answer questions. Outdoor seating only. Excellent value! GONOW.(If you don’t, I will.) ALSO– the phone number above should be: 401−766−4264!

This place is a new taco stand in Woonsocket. The food is fresh, easy, cheap eats and most importantly — delicious! The menu is basic. They have Taco’s, Burritos(if I remember correctly) and quesadillas. We got two steak tacos and two chicken. Yum! You’ll need to buy a few tacos in order to make a meal but they are priced enough so that you can get a little of everything! The cooks wear hats! and gloves! They are really dressing to impress and are very helpful and friendly! I’ve only gone once and so I want to reserve the 5 star standard but it if is anything like it was the first time around then I’ll go back!
