I was back in Wooster and needed to visit my old stomping grounds, CW’s. For burgers and fries this place is still excellent! Sadly, the other menu options needs some improvement. I ordered the crab legs and immediately wished I would have just gone for the tried and true Uncle Delburt burger — crab legs were lacking and the plain rice and limp salad didn’t do anything to enhance the experience. Very sad. The folks I was with that ordered burgers and wings(the staples of this establishment) were satisfied as always. The craft beer selections(Great Lakes, Fat Tire and other choice options) were cold, clean and good. However, the Woo Woo martini was an definite«ewwwww» — tasted like Nyquil. Still had a good time and enjoyed witnessing the triple crown while eating there this weekend, but the quality of the food and drink selection could use some improvements or at least editing to remove the options that are«less-than-satisfying»

Went there Wednesday night, wings night! Got 10 Thai chili wings and a cheese steak sandwich. EXCELLENT wings, 5 stars! Sweet with just a little bit of kick. The cheese steak, not a big fan. The biggest disappointment was the bun, kinda heavy and dry. Good atmosphere, but the manager/host stood in the middle of the restaurant and looked like a kid that went to the dance by himself and just watched everyone else. A bit creepy. Excellent waitress.

We came in on a hot day and ordered the beers which were on special. The waitress returned to tell us it would be a few minutes as they were changing the keg. 20 minutes later… still waiting and I was surprised they didn’t even bring out water. When the drinks finally arrived we had to send my husband’s back. The top of the glass was full of strange floaty crud. Next the waitress tried to give us someone else’s food. When our food came, the pizzas were pretty good. The burger and fries my daughter ordered looked yummy. My husband had dessert and rated the cheesecake a 6. Overall, the service was slow and inattentive. We hope it waitress soon makes the decision to get a job in retail.

Short and simple: CW serves classic diner’s food – burgers, steaks, fish, milkshakes. The restaurant itself feels dated, and some of the booths can leave you feeling extremely claustrophobic. Good service, but the food was just OK. Very greasy and always very heavy. Had the super veggies delight, grouper sandwich and the quesadilla burger during each of my visits here, and they left me wanting acid and a gym membership. Worth a try, but don’t expect much!

CW’s is a place that everyone in Wooster raves about, and for the life of me, I cannot figure out why. Maybe its just me, but I have eaten here about four or five times and it never goes well. First off, the prices: ridiculous for the amount of food you get(not much), though there is great daily specials like 10 wings for $ 5. Those specials are great and all, until you realize that CW’s is not capable of serving hot food… Lukewarm food yes, but never hot. This is especially unfortunate when the cheese on your $ 10 burger is no longer melty and delicious looking, but stale, sticky, and spoiled looking. Finally, proof that you are getting ripped off is that CWs does not put prices on their cocktail menu. When I asked the waitress about the price of a Long Island, her response began with«that depends.» I was floored, kind of like i imagine most food served at CW’s is before it is put on your table. If you’re in Wooster, go to Broken Rocks. The food is fresh, served hot, and the atmosphere is top notch. Though if you prefer to eat in an overpriced, local version of Applebee’s, CW’s is right up your ally.

If you are thinking about going to BW3’s, STOP and go here! This is where we go for wings or burgers in Wooster. The Tribe sauce is great on anything. Good place to watch the game, have a meal, and then stuff yourself with the tollhouse cookie pie or mint fudge brownie.

Love their boneless wings with medium sauce and their cajun seasoned french fries(they have several different kinds and all are fantastic) Great place to go with friends!

god, i miss this place. c-dubs is so far superior to tj’s. having gone to the gloriously under-appreciated college of wooster, this place was a staple. $ 5 hickory bacon burger fridays and a massive great lakes ale? yes please. half-price wing wednesdays? yes please. $ 4 long island fridays? yes please! pretty much every one of my friends had their birthday dinners here. and i came here every time my parents were in town(it used to be saved in my dad’s phone. no lie.) the night before graduation, i came here with my two bffs and my dad(yeah, my dad is cool) and they’ll pretty much make any drink you ask for, even stuff you make up after a couple rounds. the service is always good, and they’re patient with big groups(including toddlers). just a warning, though: if you order something besides a sandwich, you will leave over-paid and under-satisfied.

As I am not a regular of the Woo, this is a 1-time visit review. My burger SUCKED, terribly. Forget about the Chipotle Burger here. I wish the menu mentioned that all those yummy thinngs listed(onions, peppers, chipolte seasoning, etc…) were IN the burger rather than ON the burger. When I see a list of things that look like toppings I would expect those toppings to be on top of my burger, not in it. Also, I was not happy with the way my burger was cooked. Mid-rare must mean«barely cooked and falling apart.» I had a couple of seasonal Sam Adams that are available at any Applebees. Woo hoo. It’s a good thing I was there with my parents, making the quick get-away a sure thing. Side note: The ‘rents have become regulars and love this place. I would give it another shot, but will certainly not lobey for another trip here for sure.

I miss the days when I couldn’t see across this joint because of al the smoke. non-smoking section? Are you fuckin kidding me? The burgers are great, the beer is good, the wings of death really are that hot(but lack flavor), and the vibe is chill and irreverent. Sometimes it’s a college hangout, sometimes not. Every now and then they have/had a jazz group in to play live. This is also the first place I ever had a vanilla coke before the red devil started putting it in cans. Much better here. If you’re looking for a less chic version of the Old Jaol and a step up from say.. .leroy’s come here.

forget TJ’s upstairs and go straight to «cee dub» downstairs. this is a top wooster joint for good food and decent drinks(that is not a chain.) just two caveats. 1. it can get smokey down there on busy weekend nights, and 2. most of the drink specials suck. get a beer or standard cocktail instead.
