Evo… I only ordered delivery. I only ordered the buffalo Mac n cheese(w shrimp and they’re FAT and JUICY and perfectly cooked, too!) and chocolate fudge cake(sweet mother of Jesus)… But GOODLORD it’s so good!!! AND your staff was polite on the phone, and mentioned a delivery service called waiters on wheels?! I’m sold.

Oh man, this place. I’ve ordered out here a few times. I’m vegetarian and enjoyed their sweet Prato bean veggie burger and sweet potato fries– probably the best sweet potatoes I’ve ever had.

Thoroughly disappointed with the experience again. This time, Stir Fry Shrimp take out. The operative word being shrimp. Vegetables and shrimp portions were ridiculously small. Turned out to be the most expensive($ 20) box of rice I have ever had. The response from the Manager on duty was small too. «You have already paid for it so there is nothing I can do.» This was strike three. Last two times dining-in we left underwhelmed and disappointed but management didn’t care and never gave me a call, despite the request. We will see if the owner calls this time.

A Gluten Free Review: I liked this place a lot! Eco is a very casual Worcester local eatery. First time dining experience for us and 2 other couples. We were seated in a huge booth that was comfortable and spacious enough for all 6 of us. Our server was very good and immediately asked if any of us had any food allergies. My wife and I have a gluten free dietary restriction and all of our questions were handled confidently by our server. The menu offers many GF choices. I went with a grilled avocado spinach salad which was excellent and opted for the Buffalo Chicken Mac & Cheese which was outstanding. I very much recommend Evo whether or not you are gluten free. Great place. On a side note, 2 in our party were vegan and they loved their meals(Stir fry and Mac&Cheese.

I came here with a buddy back in Oct 2015 and I’m really glad I did. We both got burgers and man, that was one of the juiciest and tastiest burger I’ve ever had. My side salad was great too and a nice compliment to a very savory burger. The service was quite good as well and I would definitely come back if I’m in the area again!

The food here was alright. I was mostly disappointed with the dessert, the chocolate torte was pretty bland, but I guess that comes along with being flourless. The atmosphere is really cool and modern. It has an upscale vibe and somewhat upscale prices to match. I’d go back if I had friends who wanted to go but I wouldn’t be in a rush to try again.

The food is decent but over priced. I ordered take out and was told it would be ready in 15 minutes. Got there after about 17 mins was told it would be a couple more minutes. After leaving her a good tip the hostess proceeded to chit chat with the bartender for about 15 mins even though my food was sitting in the kitchen window getting cold. Finally the kitchen had to yell at her to stop talking and pack up my food. Terrible costumer service

Updating my review after realizing how frequently I suggest this place for pizza to my vegan boyfriend. The bar service has been spot-on during my past few visits. I’ve also become a little obsessed with the Mexican salad. Outside of the salad menu, we only ever order pizza at Evo because the other vegetarian and vegan options are overpriced and disappointing.

First impression of this place: exterior doesn’t do the restaurant any justice. The interior is very modern and extremely well-kept. I especially loved the design of the bathrooms and how they had a stone counter top. I think their menu was kinda strange, it was like American but mixed with Asian and other cuisines. Nevertheless, the food was delicious and presentation was great as well. Prices are fair. I will be coming back to try other items off their menu.

Evo Dining — Worcester, MA — 10/14/2015 Worcester is one of those towns with a lot of really great restaurants. With the ease of online booking, plug it into your nav system and put the seat belts on your taste buds because this is going to be a ride… Interesting building… You walk by what appears to be their market before you get to the front door which is actually on the side of the building. Quite eclectic in décor… Almost feels lie a basement restaurant in the village… Stone columns… Wooden beams… Earthy tones of brown tables and chairs with pale walls… Art Deco mirrors hung thruout with what I can only describe as interesting lighting hanging over each table… From my booth I can see the kitchen as it’s an open design and to the right the bar… An almost Lava Lamp like wall décor sits behind the bar tender against the wall… First out… Toasted Ciabatta bread with room temperature butter… Deeeelicious! The soup of the day…, a Chicken Cacciatore was brought out for me to sample… It only took one spoonful for me to utter the words; «sign me up»… There aren’t words to fully convey the flavour… For the appetizer… Lobster Rangoon… A blend of cream cheese, lobster meat, scallions and Asian seasonings served in a crispy wonton wrapper and accompanied by Asian Duck sauce… Not much in the way of lobster but extremely flavorful noe the less… I would have those again… The main… Fire Braised Pork Loin… Cuban spiced Pork Loin, fried plantains, black bean sauce, dirty rice; accompanied by a cilantro-black bean and corn salsa with crispy tortilla strips… Nicely plated looking almost too good to eat… Although the dessert list looks extremely attractive, I’m quite full from dinner so I’ll just my cappuccino… This has been an extremely pleasant dinner. Do come here and try it… you will be quite surprised. Highly recommended!

I have been trying to get hubby to try this place for years. He always says no as it is «too healthy or vegetarian.» He offered to go there last week(he brought it up saying he must not have looked at the menu before). Whatever, at least I got to go. Well worth the wait. Service was great. The food was fabulous. Prices are high(only gripe). I had the buffalo mac and cheese. It was to die for. Very tasty, spicy, cheeses and oh so yummy. Hubby and friend had Texas short ribs. The meat was cooked to perfection. Served with corn on cob and mashed potatoes. Friend had a make yourself burger. At first he said the burger was small but after eating it he said it was the tastiest burger ever. Frozen fries did not seem to go with this order. Really make an effort on the fries. The peanut butter chocolate cakes was decadent. The only issue was a jam dab that did not compliment it. Hubby ate that piece. The carrot cake actually contained a carrot slice. Perfect size and tasty.

We ate here last night with a few friends. Its very hard to come up with any complaint about this location. The only thing I can come up with is the tea tasted like it was brewed in a coffee maker that wasn’t cleaned before use. Only tea drinkers would notice. Service was excellent, kitchen was speedy, all the food was excellent. Prices were a bit high, but you expect that with this food quality and level of service. Would definitely come back.

Had a date night with the wife so we headed to Worcester to eat here. The restaurant is part of a larger building that houses an organic food store. Small parking lot in front for both the food store and restaurant. EVO had sleek, black walls and architecture along with some atmospheric displays, like fish tanks and color-changing waterfalls. The place seemed relatively big, but the acoustics were not too good in the place. After a few tables filled up, the restaurant became a little noisy. Our waitress was very nice and attentive to our needs. She even recommended a few entrees for me to choose from. We first had the black-and-tan beer battered onion rings that came with a sriracha sauce aioli. These were some pretty big onion rings that had a great taste to them, especially with that aioli sauce. For my entrée, I had the Gorgonzola crusted blade steak. This came with a wonderfully tasty steak, a risotto cake, asparagus, and marinara sauce on the side. Wonderful flavors and good portions. We ended with a dessert: the peanut butter and chocolate bistro cake. This was a very rich and tasty dessert and it was also a generous portion. Overall, I would go to this restaurant again when I visit Worcester.

We came in on a Friday night. It seemed moderately busy but we were seated right away. Our server Chelsea seemed overall disinterested in our table. She gave us the wine menu and came back a min or two later with small cocktail sized glasses of water. At that time I tried to give her my wine order, but she immediately left before I could get her attention. We pondered over the menu for several minutes and then waited for her to come back and take our order. We each got one of their sandwiches on ciabatta bread. We each got to choose a side. The fries were sad looking crinkle cuts straight from the freezer. Although an odd choice for a side, the seaweed salad was very good. The ciabatta was much larger than expected. I feel like there was almost too much bun for the amount of meat on the sandwich. The salmon was cooked well, no complaints there. After bringing our food, Chelsea never came back to ask us how things were or refill our tiny glasses of water. I had to stop her as she rushed by us. By this point the restaurant had really cleared out and most people were finishing up and leaving. I’ve been a waitress, so I do understand she may have been busy doing side work or what not but it shouldn’t leave one of your last customers feeling ignored. My overall experience was just ok and I would not come back.

We packed up the family and went for a drive up to MA to meet up with a few others. The total headcount was 4 adults with 3 toddlers. We had a reservation, so there was no issue having a table ready for us upon arrival. The kids LOVED the fish tank and would make periodic trips back to check out the fish, so that was a big plus! The staff was very attentive and polite, and took any food allergy concerns into mind when taking orders. The food took a normal amount of time to come out, and everything at the table was absolutely fantastic! If we lived closer, we would certainly be regulars at Evo! I look forward to revisiting!

So, I can be difficult with my diet. I keep kosher-ish, so that immediately nixes shellfish, pork, and meaty cheese items. However, I recently moved to gluten– AND dairy-free, so that makes eating out problematic at times. While yes, my stomach feels better, my tongue feels rather… deprived of tasty foods. My wife is somewhat less problematic, but still keeps kosher(but eats dairy out), so between us there are a whole lot of restaurants ruled out. I came to Evo on a date night with my wife because there seemed to be quite a variety for us to eat. I got the gluten-free pizza, non-dairy(read:soy) cheese on it, with a buffalo sauce base, and pineapple on top. It was surprisingly good, especially when considering that there was no gluten, no dairy cheese, and it was thin. The buffalo sauce even had a bit of kick to it! My wife got the mexican sweet potato bean burger done latin style and was rather pleased by it. The burger apparently was a good 50⁄50 ratio of beans and potato. Décor-wise, it’s pretty trendy. Clean lines, trying to be high class. They’re on the border of a rougher neighborhood, so there’s that to watch. Short story, this place caters very well to those with allergies and food intolerances, as well as working with that limited diet in pretty tasty ways. I’d return.

I went back! Just a couple of weeks ago, I went in because I wanted to go to a place where I did not have to pick and choose due to gluten sensitivities. EVO did not disappoint! I do have to say that their portions are rather small. That is my biggest complaint. My boyfriend thinks his sandwich(the cuban) was not flavorful, but my veggie quesadilla was good and they have a variety of dipping sauces from which to choose. I think we both agreed the desserts were yummiest, and again small in portion. So maybe, just maybe, they can give out a *little* more to get that five star rating.

This is a great option if you have Celiac or a gluten allergy as they are extremely accommodating when it comes to dietary restrictions. For brunch they have gluten free pancakes and english muffins and they’re happy to sub out the non-GF home fries with a fruit plate for no extra money. The bacon was delicious and the eggs were cooked well, but the multigrain toast(not GF) was burnt and bitter and the home fries(also not GF) were a little disappointing despite having sweet and purple potatoes mixed in. If you’re in Worcester or just driving through, it’s not far off 290 and makes a great rest stop meal for anyone with a food allergy.
