This place may deserve 5 stars, but I’m going to hold back before I do. I feel like the 5 star rating is for the cream of the crop and although this place was fabulous, I’ll give it just the 4, but really 4.5. Upon further visits, I may give it the fifth. I’ll preface this by saying I saw this restaurant while driving down McKeon Rd. I can’t remember what my initial reaction was because, well, its an interesting name. There are 4 foods listed in the name, and I thought that was a little strange, like the owner wasn’t sure if it was a doughnut shop or not. Then I heard my family’s favorite doughnut shop, Donut Café 2 may be closing do to the building being sold(which incidentally is all rumor and hearsay — no evidence to back that up), so I’ve kind of been on the lookout for a new doughnut shop. So I went today with my two kids, nephew, and my wife took a break from work and met us there. The kids of course really wanted doughnuts, but I made sure to preface the fact that I wasn’t sure if they’d even have doughnuts, even though its in the name. All the reviews I read were about sandwiches and lunch stuff. When we arrived, the building looked new, like it just got a face lift, and the parking lot had just been resealed, so it was a little stinky and there were no defined lines where to park. But this is a plus, a relatively new business, investing in the property. So we went inside, fingers crossed, hoping for doughnuts… And there they were, a little case of doughnuts with a decent enough variety to please the kids. OK, the doughnut review: they were not overly large, but not small, super fresh tasting and soft. That’s a plus. So did they have anything unique? Yup. There was a chocolate glazed doughnut with chocolate frosting and sprinkles, a chocolate covered cinnamon bun, and I got an apple stuffed butternut doughnut. So good. They had the standard fare, as well. The breakfast sandwiches were awesome. I got bacon egg and cheese on a croissant. My wife got ham. The sandwich pretty much melted in my mouth and probably would have if it weren’t for the crispy bacon. The egg yolks were even a tiny bit runny, just the perfect amount, and actually tasted like egg, as oppose to the dreaded DD sandwiches in which the egg is so dry and flaky, I can never tell where the egg ends and the croissant begins. I got an iced coffee, French vanilla, and that was delicious. I also picked up hummus and pita for lunch. They have little tubs of hummus for 3 bucks and a large loaf of fresh pita for just $ 1.79. I was a little disappointed they didn’t have the cucumber yogurt, but I’m not going to fault them at 10am on a Monday. Service was great. Two friendly ladies. They even gave me a sample grape leave, which had great flavor. Prices were fair for the doughnuts. $ 5 for half dozen(not sure what it was for a full dozen) and around $ 3 and change for breakfast sandwiches. Can’t wait to go back and try the falafel.

I love this place, the coffee is great, hot or iced, I’ve had both and was pleasantly surprised especially since I’m a coffee snob. We’ve had several things from Golden’s — fried chicken, wings, chicken tenders, french fries, smoothies, donuts, tabouleh, hummus, pita chips — all are really good. They also serve breakfast which we will try in the future. They also have free wi fi.

They have the best spinach pie that I have ever had. The breakfast sandwiches are way better than any chain fast food restaurant. The coffee is brewed correctly. If you go to Dunkin Donuts or similar chain places, go here instead. You will not be disappointed.

This place is outstanding– great New England brand coffee and the breakfast sandwiches are made with fresh ingredients. The staff is extremely friendly and the place is bright, open and clean. They have table service everyday until 11am and then the rest is counter service. I’ve not tried the donuts, but they look amazing, and the chicken tenders are all white and perfectly made. A great addition and much needed to the neighborhood! Plenty of parking! Really worth checking out.
