O’Connor’s Restaurant & Bar

We go out of our way to stop here when traveling up to Boston. Every menu item we’ve tried is a new favorite. Happy and friendly staff, fun décor, clean rest rooms, reasonable prices, kid friendly. Loved by the whole family!

One of my favorite places in Worcester, it is consistently busy and the parking lot full. The food is very much comfort food, and probably tastes better than the food in Ireland itself — which I’ve been told is rather bland.
The food consists of primarily Irish offering but includes New England and American fare. They have rotating food specials depending on the time of year. The appetizers and dessert are well worth it. The Irish Potato Pizza is very tasty and perfect for a evening at an Irish Pub. The restaurant has various Irish memorabilia throughout. The beer and alcohol list are extensive and include beers and liquors from Ireland. There are many on draft that will make you think that you are oat an actual Irish Pub.
Sometimes it is so busy that the service lags, and there are often times people are waiting to get a table; however, they offer call ahead seating. The location is good as it is just off the highway (I-​190) and Route 12 on the edge of the north side of Worcester.

Went for the 21^st with the family. Great selection of beers and the price beats anything else (although I came back home from Boston so it’s expected).
Their signature butternut bisque soup meets expectations. It can be a little too sweet at times, but it’s very flavorful and compliments the beer and food.
I got the schnitzel and it was a bit disappointing. The sauce didn’t go well with the meat and it tasted too salty. I ate it slowly and the food got cold quickly. Wouldn’t complain too much except the bearnaise sauce began to solidify and lost the richness.
Still, the ambiance is great! Great place for a casual get together with friends over some beers.

We had a Rehearsal Party here today. Everyone from their staff was helpful, attentive and genuine! Great Service.
Everyone enjoyed the food as well, compliments all around. We had Corn Beef Shillelagh Sticks, Chicken Pot Pie, Rice Pilaf, Mac’s Cheesy Mashed Potatoes?, Scrod, Salmon, Mixed Vegetables and Roast Pork. Delicious!

Amazing ambience and food. Almost perfect except for the speed of everything.
This was my go to for many months for lunch in the Worcester area. It was super comforting when we had the February from hell and I could go here for some sheperds pie to sooth the soul.
The menu is über extensive, vegetarians will feel just as comfortable as someone who eats meat three meals a day. The burgers are fanfreakingtastic along with the beef short ribs. My new go-​to has become the chicken francais, battered in egg… it almost has an omelet exterior and is unlike anything I’ve ever had in an Irish pub before.
The service has been somewhat spotty. As a local worker, its incredibly tough to get in and back to my desk in under an hour without some prodding of the staff. It’s an older crowd at lunchtime and often, I feel like the pace is catered more to them. I get it, the food is for the most part, made from scratch but people have things to do. We had a very inexperienced waiter once who paced the meal awfully and lunch took almost an hour and a half.
That’s my only complaint. I actually enjoy visiting the downstairs bathroom and reading all of the cool signs on the wall, directly from Ireland. Hell, you could go here and walk around the entire restaurant for hours and read all of the interesting things from the Emerald Isle.
I’ve heard this place is a madhouse on St. Patty’s Day, I’m sure for good reason. Solid, solid grub but don’t expect to get your food in under 10 minutes, either.

Excellent attentive service, warm hospitable atmosphere, impeccably clean, a reliable consistent menu with weekly specials, always healthy portions, great bar — what more do you need. Owner Brendan «Himself» is always the most gracious host. Other eateries should come for a visit and bring their notebooks!
