Tried this place for the first time the other day and honestly I’m very impressed. The restaurant is very small and in a hidden area. This place is probably the best bbq food I’ve tried in Worcester, hands down. The portions is enough to fill you up, the price is reasonable and the service was awesome. I highly recommend this place. :)

I live in Rowley and discovered west side while in worcester on business. The food and service is excellant! Three trips to Worcester since then and have not been let down each time. I find I am working my dining there into my schedule every time!

I thought the BBQ was pretty good – even the cornbread was moist and delicious. The atmosphere is relaxed and a perfect place to BYOB if you are looking for something low-key.

I was unfortunately pretty disappointed with their barbecue. I walked 45 minutes to get here with a friend and was fairly let down. I enjoyed their root beer float, but the brisket was very fatty and I haven’t been back since. Whenever someone talks about going there I usually recommend they go to smokestack instead.

Excellent food. The ribs and brisket were so delicious! The outside seating is close to the street and noisy but you forget all about it when the food comes! Definitely would go back.

I have eaten here twice with my girlfriend and have been pleasantly surprised both times. The service is great, bringing your own beer and the waitress still brings you frosted mugs! The BBQ is probably the best I’ve ever had and the wings were awesome. Corn bread yum. Such a relaxing and pleasant environment, a must try.

Great place to sit outside and drink a few beers, byob, and big bobs is right next door. Food is just ok but the wings are good, smoked then fried crispy.

Went to this place for my birthday and it was one of the best experiences I’ve had. Great food and great prices. The waitress Elaine was very polite and kept checking on us. I definitely would recommend this place!

First, if you are looking for smokey Texas brisket with a nice crust, you won’t find it here. Secondly, the pulled pork is overly sauced without noticeable smoke. If those two things will make or break your idea of BBQ and you’ll complain relentlessly through dinner, go somewhere else. With all of that said, I really liked this place. The staff was super nice, it’s BYOB, and has a great outside seating area in front for people watching. It feels very Worcester, with a wide mixture of people and cultures. The menu also includes chicken and ribs. Definitely going to try one of these on my next visit.

Well priced and friendly staff. Portions are very large. The pulled chicken was delicious. The side potato salad was interesting. I think it was made with dill but not bad. The dinners will certainly mean you have left overs. The bbq is on the sweet side but not too much.

Everything was AOK. The building was loud, and a bit bouncy, but other than that everything was great. It was the first visit there. Food was great, kitchen speed was average, was clean.

Love this place. This is a small, probably mostly take out, family run joint with the friendliest staff around. I’ve dined here many times and my favorite thing to do is bring a cooler of beer and a friend and sit on the patio. Service is quick and attentive. The waitress(and i think owner) brought us fresh frosty mugs every so often when our old ones had warmed up which was awesome. My favorite food is the nachos, ribs, and burritos. The pulled pork is quite good also, but the brisket leaves something to be desired. I don’t think they smoke anything here which might throw people off, but it is delicious all the same. For sides definitely get the beans and potato salad.

This review is a combination of 2 separate times I ate here. Honestly I have to say I’m amazed at all the good reviews. Maybe this is just bad luck for me but the first time I went there I waited over 2 hours! They told me repeatedly that they were extremely busy… the place wasn’t even half full. Thank god for the BYOB. BBQ to me is a very important style of food that should be handled very carefully. Im Foghorn Leghorn for crying out loud. So I am used to waiting a long time for my food but I expect the longer I wait the better the food. That’s the BBQ way I suppose. Slow and low… This was not the case. You could say there food was mediocre at best but for the time that I waited it was horrible. Pulled pork that tasted like it came from a can. Chicken dry. Brisket o so bland. Very little thought went into the spices in any of our foods. After such a long wait, boring food, and a very apologetic waiter we got our $ 70 meal taken care of. The only reason I can give two stars is because they had the decency to do that. I hate writing places off from one bad experience. Maybe they were busy, everyone has an off day. So lunch break two months later I tried their steak burger. After standing around waiting for someone to knowledge a customer is standing in the front to pick up his order I’m ready to chow. A slab of steak, cheese, bulky rolls! How can you go wrong… what was I thinking. Dry and tough like leather. :(disappointment. So in closing… A barbecue joint like this does serve a purpose however. it is BYOB and very close to college housing. the prices are also cheap. I am so close to this place I was just thrilled to have a bbq place within walking distance, alas. With so much competition in Worcester my money can be spent elsewhere.

This place is great. Its very small and intimate, and it may be hard to get a table, so You may be better off with takeout. Also, its BYOB. Let’s start out by saying I’ve never had classic southern style BBQ. Texas style, St Louis style, Appalachia… Never had classic BBQ in the southern states, so take this review for what its worth. For central MA, its awesome. Food is delicious and the ribs fall off the bone. Sides are decent. Stay away from the sweet potato fries. They’re not all that. Also, no Mac and cheese side, so I don’t know what that’s about. Potato salad has egg in it, which is a plus. I know they probably use some quick heat method for a lot of their food because its so small, but that’s fine. Prices are OK. Expect to pay about $ 15 – 20 per person but you may end up with leftovers.

Talk about unassuming! From the outside you almost wouldn’t guess this place has world class barbecue. Come inside to be greeted by a very friendly and attentive staff… Tender, juicy messy barbecue that you crave is just minutes away. They slow smoke so many meats! Best brisket in the city! Absolute gem!

Leesten and heer me — you will not find more bang for your buck anywhere in the city. The brisket dinner is super tender and enough to make any carnivore happy. Let me just add that I’ve seen a few reviews that refer to the bbq sauce as sweet. I really don’t find it sweet at all actually. It has kind of a super mild kick to it that I find addicting. I put it on my brisket. I put it on my fries. I put it on my shoe… But I digress. My husband swears by their hamburger, which he gets with bacon, cheese and a fried egg on top. The buffalo chicken wrap is also pretty delightful. Speaking of delightful, THESTAFF. Great to eat outside in the summer time, but also good for a solid casual dinner indoors during their«off season.» And it’s BYOB. I rest my case.

I tried out this place two weeks ago for my best friends birthday. I had such a good time that I visited the place three days ago. Let me start off with the environment and service — it’s a nice small family owned business with a very welcoming feel. The staff is friendly and the food comes out in a fair amount of time. The first time I went, I had the half rack of ribs(spareribs) with a side of baked potato and baked beans. The ribs were soooooo good! It was so tender it fell right off the bone. The portion is fairly big so you could definitely share with a friend and an appetizer to start with. The second time I visited, I got chicken wings! Omg, I tried the Cajun flavor, sweet chili flavor, and the plain — my favorite was the sweet chili. I will most definitely visit this place again.

I came here with my roommate. Place is small with outside seating. It is also byob. We sat out side and grabbed some beers from a liquor store next door. The waitress took our order and the food came out quickly for a bbq joint. We ordered their special that came with ribs, chicken, corn bread and a side. I opted for the potato salad. Everything was delicious. The bbq sauce was perfect and flavorful. The ribs were moist and fell right off the bone. I will definitely be back!
