I’ve had to subsist off of take-out for the past week due to travel. Scanning through Grubhub, I happened upon Santa Fe Burrito. The first part that caught my attention was the extensive vegetarian menu. I gave the place a shot knowing nothing about it besides the reviews. Delivery fee wasn’t bad and it got here within the expected amount of time. Only down side was they forgot one of the burritos. However, when I called the store back, they apologized and had it sent out quickly. They even sent some free chips and salsa with it! Seriously, giving me free food is an easy way into my heart. The veggies. Oh gosh, the veggies! After eating far too much take-out and pizza, I’m sure everything tasted better than normal. The burrito was huge and tasted fresh. I only managed to eat half before I was stuffed full. I got a veggie burger fajita burrito, while my wife got a plain quesadilla. The salsa was delicious! More like a pico, with big chunks of tomato, onion and pepper. The guacamole was tasty too, more lemony that most I’ve tried, but the flavor combination goes very well together. I’m sad I won’t be around to try this place more often. With the amount of vegetarian options available, I could easily see myself making this a regular lunch spot!

This is the first place i went outside of Chipotle and i must say it is pretty legit. The burritos they serve are full of favor. Although chipotle offers more food for your dollar. Santa fe never disappoint me with their various favors.

I was disappointed when the Center City location closed its doors a few years back as Santa Fe had some of the freshest burritos in the city. Many trips to Chipotle and Qdoba have not quelled my craving for their insanely delicious Chicken Mole burritos. After researching where their Delco location was, I took a surprisingly easy trip via public transportation and treated myself to a burrito that was in every way consistent with the Center City location. The small building isn’t ideal if you have a large group but it’s very worthy of a lunch trip. The food was fresh, took maybe 4 minutes to make and was delicious all the way through. Plenty of vegan options as well and they can make almost anything gluten-free by request(sadly they don’t have the corn tortillas). Very worth a trip out of your way if you’re bored of chain store Tex-Mex.

The blandest meal I’ve ever had. It was like eating a burrito filled with water. Taco Bell would be three steps up from this place

The place is cool if you want your burrito fix in Delco. The place is small, but has a decent amount of seats. The burritos are a little pricey, but they are actually real good and fresh. Cool place if you just want to get a big sloppy burrito to pig out on.

Just go to chipotle. Weird menu, limited customization options, and they often forget ingredients.

Delicious burrito, and loved having the calorie count to see before making my selection. Get the chips and guac for $ 5 — the guac is delicious and they give you SO much! Can’t wait to go back again.

One of my favorite places to grab a burrito in the area. I’ve had the classic refried bean, black bean, chicken, veggie burger over multiple visits and they always rock! Speedy service too.

So I gave this place another shot and I must say I had a much better experience this time around. This time I attempted to order a mini cheesesteak burrito but was informed it is not available as a mini. When I asked why, I was told, it is too much meat for the mini size ummm really? You can’t just give me less meat? Is this pre-packaged frozen meat, you’re putting in the microwave and you can’t give me less? Despite this I ordered the mini chili con pollo burrito again and this time it was much better, although there could have been more chicken, the chicken that was there was diced nicely and very flavorful. The $ 5 mini burrito price for students as well did not hurt a bit. It’s also nice they give you a few chips and salsa with your burrito. Great value

This is like a Chipotle on crack. The freshest Ingredients, better tasting/bigger portioned meats, and a way more extensive menu. All organic and has that family owned feel to it. Love me some Sante Fe!

How can this place only have 3.5 stars? The food is delicious and made super fast. They even have a lengthy vegetarian menu made with varied veggie burritos… and an app. Also the price is right! They even have a groupon right now for Monday through Wednesdays during the day! 5 off 10!

I’ve tried this place many times with friends, but have never been impressed. The burritos are soggy and the chicken is breaded and dry. Their tortilla chips are probably the only thing I enjoy. It is overpriced for what it is. The seating is limited and not very handicap accessible.

A Main Line mainstay, just waiting for the day when an authentic competitor arrives to render it woebegone.

The Veggie Burger Fajita Burrito without cheese or sour cream is a great vegan meal. I get so excited for it when my wife is in the mood for burritos for dinner.

Very nice selection of veggie options, easily made vegan by withholding the cheese. I did like the veggie burger burrito quite a bit, it was tasty and very filling. Ingredients are fresh, and the list of options for vegetarians/vegans is long — from veggie burgers, to faux beef, to tofu, to straight up veggies. It is very nice that they offer delivery! This place is a little pricey though. I’m not used to paying more than a few dollars for a burrito, but that’s because I frequent a burrito stand in the city.

Meh. Someone told me this place was good. Maybe they were drunk when they came here. This place is about as good as a high school cafeteria Mexican Wednesday. I got a chicken burrito which was not hot, mostly lettuce, sour cream at one end and a few diced tomatoes on the other end. The chicken was sorta breaded, sorta flavored but mostly sorta weird. They also gave me a side of chips and salsa with my burrito. This consisted of literally three chips and a small tub of pretty decent salsa. At least there is Mexican coke in a glass bottle.

Pappas con chile was flavorful. It is a baked potato cut in half, cut into sections. They then add a layer of cheese with beans, peppers and tomato sauce. I also went with a chicken con mole burrito. It could have been bigger, longer in size in my opinion. Very tasty, great flavors to it. the mole had a nice zing to it. chicken had good flavor, wasn’t chewy… added some sour cream in the mix. and baaam! One thing i noticed is there is no meat combos’… pork, or steak, some kind of beef. Not saying chicken is a bad thing. but you put pork or steak in a burritto… Ohh yeaa thats good. My wife is Mexican and when she does burritos’, or tacos,(fish ones too) she has 3 different options. pork/beef/chicken… thats how one does it up… why not add some pico d’gallo to the mix… It leaves you wondering what it would have tasted like if it was beef or pork. Price was ehhh it may be the main line, but not enough for the price

A few days after visiting this restaurant for the first time, I’m still scratching my head. Not because the place was dirty and had bugs or anything like that. but I’m just confused. I can’t figure out how exactly to rate this place. So many conflicting thoughts! I was pretty pleased walking in, the place is kind of cute. I like a good chalkboard menu. Buut it’s super small, and I can only imagine how insanely packed it would get during lunch. No individual tables, just three long picnicky type setups. And the menu was so promising! So many things you can’t get at its competitors: pollo adovado, mole, veggie meats, appetizers, the list goes on. But nothing lived up to my expectations. Customer service was okay. The cashier was polite and professional. While not super friendly, he offered me a menu when I obviously walked in without a clue. But he didn’t attempt to help me out with any suggestions, or ask if I had any questions. I’ve had better service at each of Santa Fe’s competitors. Food came out super quick, but almost too quick and forced me to double check my bag to make sure everything was correct. Lastly, the food! I ordered three mini burritos to try and sample everything. And also to use a groupon last minute, because I had forgotten about it with no time to ask a friend to go with me. Adobo Shrimp, California Chicken, and Pollo Adovado. In general, nothing was very good. I liked the idea of the chicken and potato combination, but it wasn’t very flavorful. I liked the idea of green peppers and the allegedly chipotle sour cream, but the peppers were cold and turned the burrito colder, and I couldn’t taste any chipotle heat at all. Lastly, when finally eating my shrimp burrito today, I cut it in half and saw… a sea of rice? No shrimp at all? I had to cut it up to see everything, and what I saw at one end of the burrito was maaaybe a dozen of those teeny shrimp that I think is used to make shrimp salads and whatnot. So unappetizing! And for an 8 dollar burrito? So needless to say, I won’t be back. Maybe if I lived next door. And maybe if I never had to pay for my food. The place isn’t really bad though, but I would never drive past any other burrito place to go there. Qdoba, I won’t leave you again. Promise.
