Was craving Mediterranean food and this place did NOT disappoint. I had the gyro and for 8.00, it was definitely worth every penny. It was HUGE. it’s not your typical gyro, but the bread that surrounds it was freshly baked and super fluffy. The wait staff was kind and the food came out super quickly. We will be coming back for more!

This is the first time I’ve been to this restaurant. In fact, I’ve driven by it hundreds of times before, but never thought to try it out until now. I’m sure glad I decided to give it a try. The prices are on the lower side, but the serving portions are very generous. And the food is delicious! I had the Cimbur, and the combination of over easy egg and ground beef is surprisingly tasty. The service was also excellent. The waitresses were very attentive and always available. This is definitely a place I will be coming back to often.

I chose this place because it was super close to my hotel and I couldn’t have been more pleased. I was welcomed by a friendly face and told I could sit any where I chose. My drink order came quickly while I looked over the menu. Not a large selection, which I like, it means that what they do they have time to do well! There were several options worth consideration, but I ended up choosing the Beef Stroganoff which came with a side of shredded lettuce and Tzatziki sauce and fresh bread. My order came out hot and fresh and was delicious and the price was extremely reasonable for a large dish and a soft drink. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for something real and fresh.

Wow! This place is a hidden gem. We stopped in on a whim after seeing the other reviews on Unilocal. We were sat immediately(it was a bit late, so I can’t attest to the usual business) and we ordered the«can’t stop won’t stop» fries without the meat, since my wife isn’t a fan of lamb. For entrees, my wife ordered the stuffed cabbage rolls, which were delicious, served on top of mashed potatoes that were also great. The stuffed cabbage rolls had a meat filling and were served in red sauce, alongside a piece of their home made bread and a somewhat odd«salad” — just plain tzatziki with shredded lettuce? I am not familiar with Bosnian food so I wasn’t sure exactly what the point of that lettuce was! I had the gyro with lamb/beef — they offer chicken too, which at some point I’d love to try! The gyro was served on their homemade pita(delicious) with lettuce, tomato, onion, and tzatziki sauce. So delicious! Huge portion too. I ordered a side salad too, which was really tasty high quality lettuce, cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, and onions. This salad was delicious– the dressing was out of this world. The only slight disappointment was the baklava. I know many cultures and groups have their interpretation of baklava. This one was tasty, with walnuts I think– but a tad soggy. This place is very clean, nice inside, great service. I would highly recommend it!

Great ethnic food here… the meats were very good… try the mixed grill to give all of them a shot. Also, dont miss out on the baklava… Very quaint restaurant… you will be glad you tried it.

The last two meals there have been extremely mediocre. After the last lunch I actually didn’t feel well. Nice people but something has been off.

First time here and would definitely come again! You get a lot for your money and the food is delicious! Bread for the gyros(which we had) is fresh baked every morning. Welcoming rustic interior with lots of wood and energizing atmosphere. Waitress was friendly. Very clean. Women’s restroom is tiny: beautiful paint colors make it not seems so small though. Everything looks brand new because they do such a good job keeping it clean!

I tried my first gyro here today and it was the best darn thing I have ever ate in my entire life. I want to go here every day for lunch because I work right down the road from here.

This place is above average. Anything I have ever gotten here has been on point. I do not, however, eat the original gyro, I do the chicken, which is amazing. My boyfriend gets the original and ALWAYS craves it. It’s like a secret little charm in Wyoming. Defiantly worth a try. Believe me, you will not be disappointed and will probably turn into a regular like we have. Enjoy!

Best Gyro I’ve had hands down! Served not in your average pita, butt on a fresh made pita which is nothing like the cardboard facsimile you are served everywhere else. My daughter says the Baklava is as good as mine, which is saying a while lot, as mine has been described as the best anywhere. This is s real gem, located in a sketchy neighborhood, but well worth the stop. This will be a regular stop from now on.

I’ve pasted this place more times than I can count, each time thinking I have to stop in and try it. I finally stopped in and I’m so happy I did! the food is amazing! the place has a laid back feel to it and the service was great. the food was quick and seriously the best gyro I’ve had. it was really big and full of meat, they didn’t just stuff it full of lettuce like some places do. I also got the baklava which was really yummy and a perfect way to end a great meal!

Talk about your hidden gem that is hiding right out in plain sight. I must have driven by this place thousands of times not including visiting Casa La Parrot several times, never to stop on in. Bosna Express is a superb restaurant and as they say, better late than never. Having now visited Bosna Express a few times, I am always leaving thinking about what I will get next time around. It’s one of those places that almost make you want to partake in the disgusting old myth that the Romans induced regurgitation by sticking feathers down their throat, all so you could eat more. With that said and transitioning back to the food, it seems I cannot order something here that I do not like. First time in, I had to get the Gyro($ 8). The pita seemed deliriously homemade and the meat and fillings where excellent. The whole thing was beautifully packed full to the brim with fresh onions, meat, and tomatoes. It was like a Gyro hamburger on steroids. Next onto the Bosna Express’ Cheese Steak($ 8). Image the best cheese steak sandwich you’ve ever eaten, then times that by three. Perfect marriage of onions, peppers, mushrooms all sandwiched in with their seasoned beef and lamb. It is then all wrapped up with gooey mozza and cheddar, hot sauce and a spread of mayo. Yes, it is as good as it sounds. Next time in, get one for yourself and one for all your best friends, they will think very highly of you thereafter. On one particular visit, we came in just to try a couple of their appetizers. The Can’t Stop, Won’t Stop Fries($ 6) and the Smelt Crisps ‘Gereca’($ 5). Both came out piping hot and served with plenty of tzatziki sauce for dipping, along with lemons for the smelt. The smelt was some of the best I have had in a long time. Perfectly cooked, not too much breading, just right and delicious. The Can’t Stop, Won’t Stop Fries where just that. They come highly recommend by everyone that works at Bosna Express and I see why. Severed with bits of beef and lamb, topped with plenty of mozza and feta, sprinkled with tzatziki and garlic oregano oil. They have a pretty good beer and wine selection, serving both draft beer and bottles. Each tall draft will run you around $ 5.50. On Mondays and Tuesday, draft are $ 1 off. Atmosphere is very lively yet relaxing. They’re always playing some upbeat music loud and proud. The staff is very friendly and helpful. This place can at times seem expensive but it is not overly extensive expensive. You pay for what you get and what they offer is worth it. For sure there are several other amazing dishes that will keep me coming back for more.

They redid the place and the food is absolutely delicious. Bit different spin on gyro but the sauce used in the gyros is delicious!

I love this restaurant. Great sounding dishes that I tried and was delighted. I loved the music and even got up to dance by myself. lol Our family eats very mediterranean style so having fresh veg and puffy bread was just right. The restaurant is nice and clean My hubby was outside fixing our beater and didn’t get a chance to join in. He will next time.(eat, probably not dance) I wish their menu was on this Unilocal page also.

I have been coming here for years and this place has never disappointed. I always tell the newbies that come with me that moving forward all gyros that you eat from here on out will be judged against this one. This is truly a gem of Grand Rapids.

I didn’t know what to expect, but boy were we pleasantly surprised! I hope this restaurant does well. Delicious food and nice décor… We had the Gyro, Cheese Steak Sandwich, and the Cesapi. Hands down, the gyro and cheesy steak sandwich were OUTSTANDING! Homemade bread on both is to die for– light, fluffy, and lightly browned. OMG. Honestly, I would return just for the bread, but the fillings in both dishes were so good as well. Do yourself a favor and try this place out.

We wanted to try Bosnian food and Grand Rapids has a pretty large Bosnian community. We found this place with a quick Google search. This place is awesome. Seriously, best cheesesteak I have ever had. Philadelphia may have invented it, but Bosna Express perfected it. This restaurant is worth the drive. Highly recommended!

Yessssssss. We only had one thing so my review will be short. That being said, I will be having this ‘one thing’ frequently from here on out. We loved the gyro! The meat was juicy and had a nice seasoned flavor, the fresh veggies were crisp and cold and the cucumber cream sauce was very good. The bread on which the sandwich comes is fluffy and different than usual — it was so, so good. Great sandwich!

Every time I eat here I’m impressed. I usually get the gyro, but this time decided to try the philly cheese steak. Glad I did. Two kinds of cheese, grilled onions and peppers, mushrooms, a generous helping of steak, and a sauce that adds a hint of spice. DELICIOUS! This will now be my go to whenever I eat here.
