Terrible. Seems like they’re using cheap beet sugar in their product. If you’re used to ice cream made from quality ingredients you’ll quickly notice an inferior taste at this place. I tasted a few flavors because I was sure I had just made a bad choice. Didn’t matter though all of them had an off taste in the sweetness.

The Raspados are to die for. I recommend this place. They have variety of flavors. I got Tamarindo with chile. Which was awesome. I can’t wait to go back and try the rest of the stuff they offer.

Jackpot! The Yakimex complex rocks. Raspados Chelito serves Mexican style shaved ice similar to Hawaiian and Scandinavian shaved ice. They have about six flavors, some with natural fruits. I went there on a Sunday and the line was steady but fast. Me? I went for tejuino with lime sorbet and also ended up buying a BIG bag of fresh mango and cucumber halves covered in powered chili, lime and salt. Yum. Very healthy and only $ 3 for almost a pound of fruit ready to eat. Worth knowing: you can have Valentina, Tapatio, or Tajin, BUT they also make their own ground chile powder which is spicy, flavorful, and awesome. They sell Mexican style corn: tender corn kernels in a cup seasoned with chili powder, lime and salt and(if you want) a little bit of mayo or sour cream. Try it, it’s spicy and yummy! I want this in Seattle!!!
