Love the place. Better than Jim John’s and way better than Subway. Will always recommend it.

This was one of the first local businesses I visited when I moved to Yakima. I got a full meatball sub to-go. I like that it’s a family run shop and not a chain, considering this shop is around other franchised sub shops. The décor felt very much like an actual sub shop, with small tables, ESPN on the tv’s and the open area of the sandwich making. It all felt very appropriate. The workers there are cool, nice and call your name in a friendly manner when your order is ready. I actually got shorted $ 2 when I got my change but I counted and the guy upfront gave me my $ 2 without issue(big plus). As far my sandwich, I was a fan. The white bread was toasted really nice and it does taste like it’s either made from a bakery or made in-house. Inside were red onions(grilled so sweeter but I prefer white onion bite), meatballs(impressed to see cut flat to fit in bread, tasted homemade, would have liked some spice, tasted onions and oregano in meat), provolone cheese and tomato sauce(not too overpowering and sweet). Only thing I wish was that there was some sort of «kick» in the taste. I also enjoyed how the sandwich was cut into fourths as it made it manageable to eat. Probably a good way to share with others too! The place has over 48 types of sandwiches and considering it’s a nice change from the franchised places, I’ll be back to support this local shop!

Great place! Ray is the owner, I believe, and he is very friendly always addressing customers by name. Food is fresh!

I don’t know if I am spoiled by other shops outside of Yakima, but I was really let down by the subs that I have had here. I’ve gone 3 times thinking that maybe it was just me because there is always a line, but I couldn’t put my finger on what was wrong until the last time I was there. The bread is just not good. Most sub shops and deli’s I have been to either bake their own bread or they buy it from a local shop. The bread they use here could be found right next to the loaves of Wonder Bread at Safeway. Its dense and tastes like what it is(cheap mass-produced store brand bread). The rest of the experience is great. I say experience because the customer service and atmosphere is amazing, alongside their fresh ingredients. I just think that the bread doesn’t fit and really wish they would consider finding a new vendor, or making their own.

Tried to place order for delivery. They regularly deliver here, but was told«Tuesdays are busy. We won’t come there today». So I called their competition. Won’t call Sub Shop again.

I’ve been going to Sub Shop for 15 years, and I’ve never been disappointed. The service is great, the sandwiches are delicious, and it’s reasonably priced. Highly recommend.

Delicious sandwiches! Try the Fajita Chicken with chipotle sauce. Chili is tasty too. Great prices and menu selection, very friendly and helpful staff. Beats other local sandwich shops and Subway any day. I have been looking for a good sandwich shop in town and this is it. Will definitely be back!

We stopped by for lunch on a Friday afternoon. There was a line(good sign) but we didn’t have to wait that long for our yummy sandwiches. I had the Greenway(veggies) and he had the Steak and Peppers. Both were delicious. I would highly recommend.

First time visit today. Hawaiian sub taken«to go» was good. Staff was friendly. Service time was about 5 minutes from in the door to out their door. I’ll be back!

As a big fan of sandwiches(especially with soup) I decided to check this place out. While I didn’t stumble across anything amazing, the staff us friendly, the food is tasty and fresh.

I have lost track with the number of times I have eaten at this resturant. They make some of the best sandwiches in the area. The prices are very reasonable and the counter help are amazing. So the next time your looking for a fresh handmade sandwich go here and enjoy.

Been coming here for years since i was a young girl with my family, although their menu has grown — their subs still taste just as I remember every time. Their ingredients are always fresh and flavorful but their bread is the star. I love their subs and will always prefer coming here over any other sub places.

Sub Shop of Yakima makes the best subs I have ever had, anywhere. I have been going here for over 10 years now. I usually get the turkey, though every sandwich I have had there has been excellent. They use really fresh ingredients, give you more meat than Subway, and you can watch them slice the meat fresh for your sandwich. Their prices are very reasonable — they have daily lunch specials too.

The breed is stale and if the bread is stale then every thing is not going to bee good
