Very yummy carnitas. The tortillas are super fresh and the salsas are crisp and spicy.

It’s family run and family-friendly Mexican fast food… don’t expect fancy, and you will be happy. They only have carnitas on Saturday and Sunday, but it is DELICIOUS, some of the best I’ve had. Their corn tortillas are made in-house and fresh, and it makes a real difference.(I make my own at home, but it is nice to enjoy them after someone else makes them, too). Tacos are $ 1.67 each and had a generous portion of meat, onions, and cilantro on those luscious tortillas. Fajitas and the carnitas plate are around $ 8 and it’s a huge plate of food… big portion of tasty meat, rice, refried beans, and a beautiful salad with avocado, a picked jalapeño, fresh lettuce, onion, and tomato… y’all are spoiled in Yakima, because in Seattle, that salad would be $ 6 on its own, and it wouldn’t be as nice. I dinged the restaurant a star for cleanliness. There were flies in the dining room, the tables weren’t very clean and had graffiti carved into them, the soda fountain really needed attention, and did I mention that there were flies inside? I didn’t use the single restroom, but my husband found it so fantastically appalling that he took photos. LOL I can overlook that for excellent food… just don’t use it, right? Still, as a family restaurant, they should pay a bit more attention to the condition of the toilet… kids will have to go! We were the only non-Hispanic people in the place for the 30 – 40 minutes we were there, and on the middle of a Sunday afternoon, it stayed very steadily busy… the food and prices are the clear reasons why. I would definitely come back here and would love to give them five stars next time if I see that they’ve addressed the basic cleanliness issues.

Their corn tortillas are the best I’ve tried in Yakima, which is saying something — I’ve had tacos at a dozen cheap places in the last three months. The sopes with carnitas are fantastic. I come here for carnitas and adobada; both are well seasoned and not too salty. I’ve also tried the barbacoa, which is tasty, but too fatty and greasy for me. Barbacoa is supposed to be fatty, so no harm done. I find the carne asada bland, but my husband thinks they have the best carne asada of cheap taco places.

This place was pretty amazing! Went with a small group, everyone was pleased with their food. I got chicken enchiladas, the portion size was just right and the price was very reasonable. The meat was cooked and seasoned well and it came with rice, beans and fresh avocado everything was delicious. The customer service was excellent, she was very patient with our indecisiveness after being on the road for most of the day! If you’re looking for a great fast meal this is an excellent choice!

Good. Really good. Wanted a fast place to eat just passing through Yakima on the way back to Tacoma. Lengua enchiladas was my choice.(Beef tongue for the less Spanish oriented crowd.) yum. Cooked well, seasoned well, not overly salty. Good price for the amount of food. My friend got the fajitas, steak and shrimp. They looked amazing. If you’re wanting a taco truck-ish experience, this place will be good!
