Had breakfast burritos and horchata. Good food, good price, nice people. We will be back.

Booming breakfast burrito. If u get one get the 3 meat breakfast burrito. And for dinner the pollo Asada it the good stuff. Also the green salsa or the red spicy salsa.

This is the type of gut bomb breakfast burrito joint you go to in CA or AZ. Huge and cheap with good salsa. They are about average quality. They are a good value.

We’ve been here many times for their breakfast burritos, sooo yummy! I love their salsa, pickled carrots and jalapenos with the order.

I wouldn’t kick chips and salsa out of bed for eating crackers… but I might expect them to be better at it than these guys. They were just okay. The salsa was a bit runny, the chips were a bit too dry and brittle(yes, it can happen). I did like the tacos, those were tasty. I would have liked the chicken to be shredded, but hey, thats just my fancy. If I were to go to Yakima for Mexican food again, I probably wouldn’t go here. I think I’d prefer a Taco Truck.

I told my girlfriend that we are going to eat some Mexican food. I told her this because I am the boss, Applesauce! I ordered the chicken tacos and she ordered the chips and salsa. I thought the chicken tacos were pretty damn amazing. I loved the salsa that they have for you to put on top. As «The G» says, very flavorful. My girlfriends chips and salsa were ok. While the chips were good the salsa was only alright. Not as thick and flavorful as I would have liked. But if I was in town I’d get the chicken tacos again. Zipzap Zubidy Bop!

Worth the trip from anywhere in the Western US. Just kidding, but this place is fantastic! I am kinda glad I don’t live near Yakima, or I would have to permanently get my own table… I will visit it every time I get to Yakima! Authentic flavors, great selection, good ingredients and the service and personnel is awesome!

Whenever I pass through town I have to stop here. The food is super fresh, very flavorful, a great bargain, and extremely authentic. Don’t forget to add the hot sauce and pickled veggie condiments to round out your delicious meal.

Stopped by here based on other reviews. I found the food entirely predictable, American with a few exceptions, and incredibly bland. I couldn’t have been more disappointed.

If you want some authentic mexican eatin’ but want a place where you can sit down, take the family, etc., put this on your top 5 for yakima. They serve tacos, tortas, whole chickens(cooked =)), and have lengua! When I was last there, I believe I was the only ‘gabacho’(white dude) in there-which is a shame. El Porton shouldn’t be the only mexican food white folks eat in yakima. Come on, go into grullense-the regulars won’t kick you out!

I believe that the restaurant I visited was El Grullense #2, but… I’m not too familiar with Yakima! We happened upon this restaurant by complete accident, it is actually a drive through taco place, but we decided to eat inside. I was a little disappointed when I made it to the counter and saw lots of American food… lots of breakfast foods and hamburgers. What the heck? Anyways, we still ordered tacos… and they were Aaaamazing. Wow. We got chicken and carne asada, and it was soooo good… they had these lovely grilled onions that were sweet and practically carmelized to accompany the tacos, as well as the squeeze bottles of salsas, both green and red. Both, YUM. The place is clean, the counter help was very nice, and I was happy. We vowed to go here again for MORE tacos before we left Yakima, but other than the tamales I picked up at the Farmer’s market… I couldn’t stuff myself with any more mexican food. Sad. :)
