Food was fine, service was OK. It was empty in the early evening and they were still pretty slow. A bit overpriced. CC machine was broken and they didn’t say anything until after.

Évaluation du lieu : 1 Woodland Hills, CA
Location: The restaurant is located at the corner of S. 3rd Ave and W. Nob Hill Rd. Coming from the North or South, you’ll have to take the East turn onto 3rd Ave, and then block traffic as you wait to get into the corner driveway. The Menu: The menu features some standard appetizers and salads as well as Seafood, Italian dishes, Steaks, and a full page dedicated to Mexican cuisine. There’s a kid’s section for smaller portions. Prices on entrees range from around $ 9 for a Salad to $ 37 for the Seafood platter. Service: [Please note — The restaurant was dead empty at 6pm on a Saturday. There was 1 elderly lady eating there when we entered.] We were greeted and seated by the Cook. He took our drink orders(1 root beer, 1 diet Coke and lime, and 27&7’s. After he went to the kitchen and came back, he let us know that they didn’t carry root beer, so our friend ordered a 7up. He then brought out 17up, 1 flat diet Coke and 2 whiskey Cokes.(Might have been Seagram’s, might not…) He offered to replace the flat diet Coke with an Orange Juice and for the sake of keeping things simple, we agreed. We also pointed out that 7&7’s are made with Seagram’s and 7up or Sprite. He then took our orders. We ordered, respectively: 4 dinner salads with ranch dressing Carne Asada with extra guacamole 210oz Steak Dinners with baked potatoes and green beans Lasagna with garlic bread After he took our order and retreating to the kitchen, a car pulled up and a woman entered while putting on an apron. The server apparently had finally arrived for work. We chatted for about 30 minutes and then the food was delivered. (Please keep in mind the order was taken by someone«running» the kitchen…) The Carne Asada was fatty and dry, and there was no sign of guacamole anywhere. When the server was asked about this, she informed us that they were out of guacamole and had been for some time. This would have been something nice to know while we were ordering so that the order could have been changed. Instead of the normal taco-sized flour tortilla, we received two enormous flour shells that had to be torn in half to make them manageable. The rice was very overcooked, and with enough ingenuity, could have been used to apply wallpaper to any slightly abraded sheet rock. The lasagna was approximately 4“x3″, and about 1.5″ thick. Beyond the smattering of Parmesan cheese sprinkled over the top, there was almost no cheese present, and the sauce was tasteless and clearly watery.(There literally a pool of water surrounding the sauce…) The noodles had the undercooked taste, reminiscent of one of the Stouffer’s family style boxed lasagnas.(I suspect that this is where this dish originated actually…) Oh, and let’s not forget the garlic bread. Based on the texture and temperature, we had to assume that this had also come out of a box purchasable at a supermarket for about $ 3.00 and then popped into a microwave for a minute or two. The steaks were another matter entirely. In comparison to the other dishes served, the steak was outstanding. It was the right temperature, and texture, and the meat was succulent. The baked potatoes(one ordered loaded, but looked to have been topped exactly as the other) were nothing to write home about. The green beans were definitely a surprise though. They had been grilled and served in a vinegary sauce that completely set them off, and made them almost a dish unto themselves. All of us tried some of them, and had nothing but great things to say. About half way through the meal we ordered another couple of 7&7s. This time, we actually received the correct drinks. The bill: Our bill came to $ 95.33 for dinner for four. When we asked the server about the incorrect drinks, and not being told about the lack of guacamole, she just shrugged and said, «Sorry.» Summary: I wouldn’t eat here again unless I was either paid or holed up during a zombie invasion. The food, for the most part, was horrendous and the service was abysmal. There are restaurants in the Yakima area that deliver outstanding Mexican, Italian, or American food. This isn’t one of them. It’s my belief that this restaurant is trying to move in too many directions at the same time, and not being successful at any of them. Is it a dance club/bar? Is it a Steakhouse? Is it a Mexican or Italian restaurant? Sort of. If you’re looking for good food, services, and atmosphere in Yakima, avoid George’s Steakhouse at all costs!
