Awesome place, great bagels, great coffee, fantastic brownies — but call ahead if you want bagels. Stopped in for the third time in a row and they were out of bagels after being open for two hours. Bummer.

Cute busy bakery with nice assortment of fresh muffins, scones etc. Coffee was good, this place is really the only decent option unless you want to choice down some DD swill. Probably going to swing by again this morning and try one if the premade breakfast sandwiches.

Wonderful gelato… but that’s possibly not the best thing about this place. Their customer service is outstanding. Today my daughter received a small package from somewhere in Yarmouth(we are currently in Boston). She opened it and to her surprise it was an old notebook of hers(with our address stamped inside). Someone from Maple’s must have found the notebook and then took it to the post office to send back to her. Absolutely incredible. This is why we love coming to Maine. Specifically for ultra caring people like this. Thank you Maples!

Best bagels outside of New York. Great music, lovely people who provide service with care, awesome coffee, warm muffins with creative flare. It brings me quiet joy to hang at Maple’s

I need to say, hats off to Maple’s! This has got to be the most delicious bagel you can find in the greater Yarmouth area. Having lived in NYC and been a frequent customer at Brooklyn Bagel, I’m confident in saying that these bagels are a close contender to the ‘OGs’ in NYC. I got the everything bagel with honey-rosemary cream cheese. Perfectly crunchy outside with a soft, doughy inside. I will be back!

Wow! Finally we found good bagels! I’m from NY and craved the bagels from back home and Maples has them. Always fresh along with the different cream cheeses. Staff is wonderful too!

I’d heard a lot about this place, and wanted to try it. I really, really wanted to love it, because it’s a local biz, close to where I live, and ice cream is basically my life. Unfortunately, i wasn’t in love with the place the two times I went. It was sort of disheveled and dirty, which I could understand if they were having a rush, but I went during a really slow time. The employee who helped me wasn’t able to answer a couple of questions I had about ingredients. I know people like me can be a bit of a hassle, but I can’t help my food allergies, sorry. The gelato I tried was pretty good, the coffee was just ok. I’ll try it again in a few weeks and see if we just went during an «off» period.

Go to Maple’s for the gelato. The gelato is fantastic! Don’t go to Maple’s for the cappuccino drinks. There is one barista there that makes a weak latte and I seem to get her the majority of the time. Someone in Maples went to Vermont to take a King Arthur flour baking class so all the baked goods are pretty good. Be warned though, they run out of bagels early in the day. Go to Clayton’s down the road if Maples is out, the baked goods there are just as good, and it’s easier to park there. Like I said earlier, go to Maples for the gelato. Four stars because of the weak lattes and propensity to run out of bagels.

Delicious gelato, lots of flavors! I wish they could package the fresh gelato to go! They don’t have proper covers. Also it would be nice if they put their daily flavors on Facebook.

This place is a great little find. My two favorites: A bagel with veggie cream cheese — the bagel has a perfectly crispy outside with a nice chewy center. But the cream cheese is the star! The veggies in it are so fresh and flavorful!!! Sea Salted Caramel Brownie: this thing is like crack. Warm half of one in the micro for 10 sec then a scoop of plain vanilla ice cream. OMG you will say Shut Up!

I’ve continued to come here for an occasional coffee and treat and I’ve continued to be impressed. I’ve now tried their bagels a few times and they are tasty. They also offer various flavors of cream cheese– made in house I believe. They have developed quite a following for breakfast and often sell out of bagels by 9 am so get there early! The parking lot can be a bit challenging in the AM, but doable. I want to try their new breakfast sandwiches. I picked up a pint of their Maine blueberry sorbetto recently and I wasn’t in love, but I think the take-home version of anything is probably not as good as the fresh kind in the case. Still haven’t tried the gelato yet. I spied a garbage to garden compost bin by their kitchen door and that made my heart happy. Most of the staff members are young, but they are very friendly and well-trained. Glad to keep supporting this local business!

It’s probably best they give you those tiny little spoons when you eat gelato, or I’d be using a shovel to haul this stuff in my mouth. I’ve been to a half dozen gelato places in Maine… including Portland and Brunswick… Maple’s is right up there with the best I’ve ever had. I have the Peanut Butter cup, which was chock full of pieces of… yeah, you guessed it, yummy peanut butter cups. My son had the Chocolate M&M gelato… which I’m guessing he loved considering his face looked like he had grown a chocolate beard after eating. The cool thing is, it’s run by family, from what I can tell, and it has that homey, cozy feel to it. As if my belly wasn’t large enough from gelato, they also started offering a bunch of baked goods that looked delish too. I’ve tried the scones but let’s just say the Gelato takes the cake.

Stopped in for an iced Americano and got, basically, an iced coffee. If you can’t make a decent Americano, you need another barrista.

This place has been packed in the mornings as of late, and for good reason! I stopped in today and got a bagel, and an iced americano. The iced americano was GREAT — great rich espresso flavor, and happy they have soy and almond milk. I can honestly say that I have never had a bagel like theirs — they are so crispy, and crunchy on the outside! Keep it up Maple’s! The change you made has been awesome, and I am so impressed you have been keeping up the the heavy morning commuter traffic. Great to have a yummy place to grab coffee right down the street from me :) What could make it more awesome? Stick a vegan muffin or scone in there, or carry tofutti cream cheese! ;)

I consider myself a bit of an ice cream connoisseur and this place… This. Place. Is. Amazing. It is creamy, thick, and perfect. My husband and I were given a pint when we moved in from a neighbor and I can not thank them enough for introducing us. We were given vanilla and usually I think that is a bit too boring but I could eat this right out of the carton. We have never gone into the shop so I can’t comment on any of their other products. I will definitely be going in there this summer, though!

This is a solid four-star-kind-of-place. It’s a good option for gelato lovers in Yarmouth. The space is fairly large and they have packed to-go pints as well as options to eat right away(not that you can’t eat a pint right away, but that’s a bit excessive). On my latest visit I tried the peppermint stick gelato and it did not disappoint. They also have baked goods and coffee. Try the chocolate chip cookies-they are so delicious! They don’t have a huge variety of flavors, but it’s like a small, organic version of Gelato Fiasco. And like GF, they will let you sample the flavors. The staff is friendly and helpful and it’s a cool spot not to be missed when you are in Yarmouth.

I’m not a huge fan of gelato. However, I’ve been to Maple’s twice in the past few weeks and I really liked their Sea Salt Caramel Almond – the the right combo of salty and sweet. Went to another, more well-known gelato stand on Sunday and they didn’t have anything quite like this flavor and I was very disappointed. Both times I’ve visited Maple’s, the service was uneven(read, slow), so I’d dock it slightly due to that, but given the Sea Salt Caramel Almond that’s hard for me to do. I’m still an «ice cream kinda’ guy» but Maple’s gelato might be reason for me to stray from time to time.

I am definitely going to be in the minority with this review because all I have read is how amazing thie little place is, but let me explain. We had just got done in Portlant for the Old Port Half Marathon and we were looking to get a little healthier alternative treat and wanted to stop in on a hot summer day. We stepped into the place(On a Sunday) and there was one person working and the place smelled like(literally garbage) something foul. They must have taken the garbage out because there was a clean bag right near the entrance that was newer looking. So, with that being said, I wanted to try out this goodness. I ordered the Sea Salt Caramel Almond gelato and it was very good indeed. It was smooth, decadent and tasted like real ice cream! My wife got the cocount cream pie and it was delicious, both creamy and light and for a half marathon runner, it was a perfect snack. Now here is where it gets dicey … My son got the chocolate gelato and when he sat down he then proceded to pull a hair about three inches long from his ice cream where he was pretty upset … the girl behind the counter refilled a new cup with an extra scoop on it and told us that she is sorry for«being gross». The floor was completely sticky all over and the tables were unclean. it just seemed that the light amount of staffing was too much for these volunteer workers. I may come back and get a pint of the peanut brittle another day but i am not too sure if our experience will draw us back here … I think I may have to with all of the great Unilocal reviews though.

Hidden gem of gelato! I would come here(or buy in store) well before gelato fiasco. Good variety and the location was big but not necessarily convenient ha ha. Was it as good as gorgeous gelato? No, but damn close! I’m glad I can get it in stores now!
