Love this idea! Like some others, I wish there were actually some brownie baking going on at the location, or maybe even just some coffee brewing(they did have coffee, though we didn’t try it) for a nice aroma. However, if the brownies were cooked on the premises, then they probably wouldn’t be able to offer a gluten free brownie. I didn’t have any regular brownies, but the gluten free was DELICIOUS! One of the best GF baked goods I’ve had. It was pretty small, but that’s OK. My BF had a regular brownie and said it was very good. Lots of options for the non-gf crowd. My only other complaint is that the woman that was working was not the friendliest. In a cute shop like that, you need a warm person working the counter! I had called when trying to find their location and there was no answer.

Extremely difficult location to find; I hope they are paying pennies for rent, because this is a horrible place for a brownie shop. It’s cute inside, but it’s missing the«baking brownies» smell– none. It’s more like a brownie store than a brownie café, which is what I thought it would be. They need to pump some baking smells into the place — or maybe consider actually baking brownies! The brownies are served wrapped in plastic with labels; why couldn’t I have just bought them at the grocery store? I would prefer fresh cut brownies, more like a tray of fudge coming out of the oven. They were tasty, sure, but this place a lot of untapped potential. Decent if uninspiring.

Amazing… better than sex! Little pricey and rich but so worth it.

We found this place on a stop through Freeport this weekend and enjoyed it so much that we made sure to stop in on our way back through to go home as well. I mean… how can you turn down an entire shop dedicated to brownies? When we first stopped on Friday we were able to sample their peanut butter brownie which was pretty good. We each selected a brownie to take with us(I took a sea salted caramel and my husband took what was basically the equivalent of a Mounds bar brownie) for the rest of our trip to UMaine. We also grabbed a blueberry brownie for my sister-in-law. All three of us absolutely loved our brownies — they weren’t dry, had great flavors and textures. On the way back through we stopped in again and this time my husband got the Sweet Potato Brownie and I got their Cherrity brownie(white chocolate, cherries, and pecans). Both were also quite enjoyable. Simply Divine also does something that’s pure genius — they take their brownie edges and sell them by the bag for $ 7! Hubby and I are edge-lovers when it comes to brownies, so we bought a bag to take home with us. The ONLY reason that I am giving these guys a 4 and not a 5 is that the brownies — while quite good — aren’t 100% fresh. They are made off-site and kept wrapped in a cooler waiting for purchase. They are VERY good even though they aren’t 100% fresh, and I know that this will be a must-stop for us the next time we head to Freeport.

Wow, a whole store dedicated to brownies! They had every flavor imagineable. We got turtle & peanut butter… both tasty delights.

Okay, so I’ve not ever actually visited the place in Maine, but I did have the opportunity to try some of their brownies at the 2009 New England Dessert Showcase the other day. Their caramel brownie was by far my favorite dessert at the event, and believe you me there was a TON of competition. I never had a brownie quite like it before: dense and chewy chocolaty-ness, with a thick layer of creamy caramel on top with toasted nuts(pecans I think) sprinkled on top. The truffles were good too, but really, the caramel brownie was unforgettable. This was the only exhibitor I grabbed a card from, and plan on ordering from soon.
