Great, casual, local breakfast. Thumbs up to the cinnamon rolls, French toast, yogurt parfait and omelets!

Small business with excellent home cooking. Breakfast was great and the sticky buns are truly DELICIOUS.

Food was good but customer service is very lacking. Refills, for coffee, are not free. You have to ask for everything you need. There was no butter for the toast and was told«we’re out» but when I asked again, someone in the kitchen was magically able to get some for me. I wasn’t initially given a cup for the coffee I had already paid for. When I returned to the counter, for the cup, the young lady asked me if I got a large or small coffee. My receipt was not itemized so she said, «Here, I’ll just give you a small cup.» Nothing is offered to make your experience one where you look forward to going back for repeat business. Could have been a really quaint, enjoyable experience, but fell well short.

We loved Isabella’s! We had a sticky bun, cinnamon roll, coffee, and Greek omelet. Everything had a distinct and natural taste, obviously made with love! They have local artwork for sale on the walls, local event calendars, and a great hometown atmosphere. A must visit for a great breakfast!

Awesome! The sticky buns with walnuts were delicious, and the omelettes were just what we needed after spending several frigid hours outside that morning waiting for a beer release at the nearby Maine Beer Co. Stuffing my face at Isabella’s was the ultimate prelude to the bomb-ass nap I took that afternoon. Also, not sure if they make their whole wheat bread on site but it made some seriously perfect toast. Would definitely go back!

My husband and I had breakfast here one morning while in Freeport to do some shopping. I had the loaded hash and hubby had the breakfast burrito. Both were decent but somewhat lacking flavor and pretty forgettable. I opted for a biscuit with my meal since the young lady behind the counter said they were homemade, and it was incredibly dry, as though it had spent too much time in the oven. It looked nothing like the other biscuit pictures under this listing. The home fries were the only parts of the meals that were memorably good. The coffee is in airpots on a table underneath the menu, and it is mediocre at best, which would be forgivable if they didn’t charge for refills. The interior is very basic, plenty of crooked tables(we had to stick a wadded up napkin underneath one of the legs of the one at which we were sitting because it was so wobbly we couldn’t comfortably eat) and chairs. You must bus your own table when finished. I’m torn between a 3 and a 4 star rating for Isabella’s. I’m rounding up because of the cinnamon rolls. They were perfect, and we didn’t even eat them until the next day. I probably wouldn’t come back here for the food or coffee but definitely would for the baked goods/pastries.

This is a perfect place for breakfast or brunch. We dropped in hear while passing through Freeport and it was exactly what we were hoping for. Food was really good and they have a lot of space inside. Id totally come back if I’m even here in Freeport

They were out of sticky buns when we were there which was really sad. The egg dishes we had were OK though a bit on the plain sude. Their potatoes are really good.

Dropped in today before shopping and what a great experience! Such a warm welcome from the girl at the counter — made us feel at home and explained the menu really well — we are from New Zealand! My wife had blueberry pancakes and I had a simply amazing breakfast burrito! A visit here is a must — thanks guys!

For a place named after their sticky buns… The sticky buns weren’t that great. I would much rather pillsbury! Other people in my party got breakfast sandwiches that they really enjoyed and the service was friendly.

Cute place we stopped for a quick bite before we had to drive back to NYC. Typical american breakfast. I ordered the BLT and sticky bun and my GF ordered the western omelette. I really liked my BLT as crazy as it sounds it was well made and the flavors really meshed well together. The sticky bun was good but I wish it was warm that would have been even tastier. Omelette was typical nothing special. Though the coffee was amazing we even asked the cashier what type is was and found out it was from a local Maine spot they get it from.

Awesome little place to grab breakfast or lunch. We stopped in on a weekday morning around 9:30am and were treated to a great, filling breakfast for not all that much money. I had the breakfast scramble(I can’t recall exactly what it was called) and it was delicious, a great pile of filling food with just the right amount of crispy bits to make everything interesting. The wife had a Breakfast BLT that was excellent and rode to glory atop a really good ciabatta roll. Overall hard to go wrong in here. The morning I was there the owner was the only one working(this may be the normal operation) and in the 20 minutes I was there I heard her suggest interesting off-menu choices that she could whip up for several people, offer suggestions on things not related to food at all, and even give one guy a recommendation that if he wanted a milkshake she didn’t make them but a competitor’s business up the street would be glad to. Awesome.

This is purely based on the fact that I’ve only had one thing from Isabella’s on my one visit when I needed a quick breakfast on my way to school. First off: The cinnamon rolls are divine. They’re not gigantic, which is lovely, because you don’t feel like you just got a cavity from the amount of sugar that is typically in a breakfast bun. You also don’t feel«weighed down» the way that some pastries can make you feel. Secondly: The service was great! The woman(I assume the owner) was absolutely wonderful and accommodating when I had explained I’d never been. She offered to make me anything my heart desired which, if I had more than 5 minutes, I would have taken her up on! If you’re in the Freeport area and are looking for a friendly place to grab some breakfast, I highly suggest Isabella’s!

Food is delicious but service was slow even though they aren’t busy. The staff was still friendly. I got the breakfast burrito, and it was big and yummy! Delicious coffee too.

This is my usual Sunday morning brunch spot. I do come other times during the week for an occasional muffin to sandwich. It is a frequent locals spot and in any town a place that the locals go is usually the place to be at. And being a local it is also good to come in because often you can get the heads up on what is on the menu or if they by chance are out of something you usually get when walking in the door.

I think I may have hit a personal landmark during my visit to this place: this may be the first time I’ve ever ordered lunch when I had the option of ordering brunch! We came here on a Saturday afternoon around 1pm during a mid-November shopping trip to Freeport. I have known about this place for quite some time; I used to work across the street at LL Bean during my college days, but for some reason I never ventured across the street to give this place a shot. It was probably because of the deceptive name; one might think they ONLY have sticky buns. As I found out, that is definitely not the case. Isabella’s is a smallish restaurant located in the bottom level/basement of a building directly off the main street. You place your order at the counter and then go take a seat at one of the booths or tables and wait for the server to bring you your food. While you wait, you can admire the colorful ocean-y art hung up around the establishment and for sale by local Maine artists. The menu has a good variety of breakfast sandwiches, brunch options, and sandwiches. I believe they also had salad and soup options as well. It wasn’t that busy, but the people in front of us somehow took about 10 – 12 minutes to place an order for four people. I’m not sure what was up with that! We both ordered pastries to start. I got the a sticky bun, and my friend got a cinnamon roll. Both were very good. Unfortunately I can’t say that they were the best I’ve ever had, but they were certainly enjoyable after a long day of walking and window shopping. As a meal I got the a turkey BLT(with chips) and my friend got an egg wrap of some kind(with home fries). I really enjoyed the BLT — I’ve never had a turkey version before, and it was very tasty and perfectly prepared. The server was responsible for all the tables and therefore extremely busy, but she still managed to tend to us when needed and was very friendly. If you’re looking for a out of the way, quiet location to have a breakfast or lunch(or brunch!), definitely stop in here if you haven’t given it a shot yet.

I stopped in the other day with a group of ladies after a meeting in town, you go to the counter to place your order. The lady who took our order was very friendly and efficient, our orders all came out as ordered. I ordered the Grilled Tuna Melt with tomatoes and cheddar, it was very good! The place is tiny so with a group of women jabbering and rearranging chairs and another table so we could sit together… kind of reminds me of all the little restaurants in Italy where all you remember is the scrapping of chairs across the tile floors… noisy! We were there after noon, so I would really like to go back in the a.m. for one of their Sticky Rolls everyone talks about. There were a couple of rather nasty reviews here but I really didn’t see anything that could be termed as «dirty» or «disgusting» just a very casual, very little place to grab a bite to eat at un-touristy prices.

I’ve got four words for you: CHOCOLATEPECANPIEBAR. Need three more? Run, don’t walk! They had a sample of this little life-changing delicacy out, so we promptly helped ourselves. And at that point, the rest of the pastry case just faded away, and I could barely even speak to order. So. Freaking. Delicious! Once I regained my composure, I could tell that the other pastries looked delicious, and they also offer all-day omelet a and other hearty breakfasts. The new(ish) owner is super friendly.
