Unsure if the Garden Center portion is still in business or not. They was the place to go if you wanted a plant of any variety and color. But helpful staff is difficult to find. And when you do, its usually not their area of expertise and they go off to find someone that is. Last visit, had to leave a question about a tree with an assistant to give to the manager, call returned 3 weeks later.

Lovely place to browse. Service may be hard to come by as you look for what you need, but the ladies at the register are so kind and considerate. When I tried to purchase a few plants for my outdoor garden, they inquired about my greenhouse. Upon mentioning I was putting them in raised beds outside, they recommended waiting a few weeks until the nighttime frost was sure to be gone. It was nice to know they were looking out for the best results. I totally would’ve wasted time and money had they not been so helpful!

I’ve seen better garden centers then this one, they didn’t seem to have much selection in regards veggie and fruit plants, it seem they were more towards trees and shrubs. Plus, you need help? Good luck at that lol– the only employee I saw was at the front where they have a co-op as well, so overall, Meh, not to impressive, and I dont think I would recommend this place.

I like to window shop at Gordon’s. They have a nice selection and generally the plants looked really nice. What turns me off is that the prices are ridiculously high. My husband bought two hanging petunia plants and one tomato plant earlier in the spring and the three plants came to $ 80!!! Cleo, the resident nursery cat, is cute though and I look for him whenever I am window shopping. On a side note, I do like the natural foods store on the inside.

Gordon’s does have a good selection, and their staff is pretty knowledgeable, but I have to say, I think they are quite a bit overpriced.

Gordon’s Garden Center is like crack cocaine for gardeners. I can’t get enough of this place. Staff is amazingly knowledgeable. I wanted a couple of plants for my shady corner that’s fairly dry, and they showed me all the shade plants, and gave pros and cons for all of them. They also helped us to buy hazelnut and apple trees, explaining that you have to get apples that will bloom at the same time of year so that they can co-pollinate. The shop has all kinds of goodies, from eco-friendly gardening tools to fantastic Christmas decorations during the holidays, to vermiculite for your soil. Highly, highly recommended.

Love this Nursery. When new at gardening they took time to answer all of my questions and find everything I needed. I learned so much from them about organic gardening. Have all types of plants /trees/etc not normally found. Even have a houseplant section. Recommend!
