Unfortunately, I’ve had to downgrade my rating severely since I’ve stopped by there lately. The past two times I’ve gotten«filled» donuts, custard or jelly, they have gotten really stingy on the filling. The last 2 custard filled chocolate donuts had maybe a teaspoon of custard crammed in the corner of the donut. The jelly donut was the same, you had to hunt for the tiny speck of jelly in the donuts. I’m going to have to make the trek to other out of town shops from now on, this place has not impressed me lately.

I had such high hopes for Twister when they opened. There aren’t any other doughnut shops in town so your other options are grocery store doughnuts. I prefer them to Twister. I’ve been three times since they opened and it seems the quality has gone down each time. The last time we went just after they opened on a Sunday morning. Usually if you go first thing in the AM to a doughnut place you get the freshest doughnuts. Well I pretty sure I instead of fresh Sunday doughnuts we got leftover Saturday doughnuts. The glaze was already sticky and the doughnuts were slightly stale. Not worth the 6am wake up call.

Great selection. Super yummy. So thankful they opened in Yelm. Way better than going to Safeway. Way.

Yummy. Love them blueberry fritters. Have made it a point to space out my visits so I can avoid weightwatchers

This is review from my visit 1 month ago. #1 Rule when you run a donut shop. Don’t disrespect the customers by selling OLDDONUTS! All the customer who stops in to donut shop knows what fresh donut taste like. If it doesn’t sell that day donate it to the Olympia shelter and get a tax write off or throw it out. By reading other reviews, there are days when it is fresh and days when it’s not fresh.

Their doughnuts are amazing and fresh, and I love their beacon maple, but whenever we go by or try and walk there to get doughnuts they are closed. They never keep consistent hours, and it really makes me not ever want to go back because I feel like I would be waisting my time because they will be closed. Not a reliable business.

I personally don’t think the donuts are very good. They are to sweet and their prices are high in my opinion. They do have a lot of different types but to me it was not worth the wait or the trip. I can go down the road to Walmart and get better tasting for cheaper. The good things I can say is they are clean and the ladies working there were very nice.

Visited early in a Saturday morning, pretty busy, you could tell it hasn’t been open long not much to the interior but already gaining some popularity. Staff seemed friendly, patient and to get people in and out efficiently. I tried the bacon maple bar and bear claw. Both seemed pretty fresh, thought the flavor of the male bar was good but the maple was on the lite side of your traditional maple donut. Still good just missed a little on the maple. The dough of the donut was not heavy or lite, didn’t feel like I was chewing gum lime some or on the opposite end, so lite is more air than pastry. The bear claw I felt missed the mark completely, it lacked flavor and the dough seemed a little under cooked. Two very different donuts and two very experiences. I’ll visit again to give some others a try.

Went this past Saturday morning around 9am, the line was out the door. I thought this place must be darn good. The line moved quickly and everyone seemed in a good mood. The staff was attentive and efficient. I ordered The«super dozen» for 11.99– The doughnuts smelled great in the car ride home back to Clearwood. Once I got home and kids and wife were up for the Surprise breakfast treat, They seemed so enthused however I could it slowly disappear. They didn’t complain but you could see the«ehhh they are okay face.» I finally dug in and wow I’m not sure what happened but the doughnuts were not fresh or what I would expect for such a well desired place. The fritters appeared nicely fried but tasted burnt, lacked flavoring * we tried 3 the pineapple, strawberry and banana fritters. The chocolate glazed doughnuts was thin, The sprinkled ones were falling apart in the case and the remainder fell off after the first bit, They had a coconut with peanuts that was nice. The old fashion was decent but the chocolate glaze had that sugar grainy feeling. Needless to say half the doughnuts went into the trash. Something that has never happened in my house. Overall it could be they are new store but until they improve the quality– Id stick with Safeway doughnuts or Franks in Spanaway. I will try them again in the future and update if anything changes. But for now– it wasn’t what I expected.

Whoever said WalMart beats this place has no palette. This donuts here are outstanding and fresh. Best this to happen to Yelm since Ramtha.

Not the best doughnuts in town. Walmart still beats them. The doughnuts were pale, poorly decorated and weren’t very sweet.

The food is good, however, won’t be back much. Got cinnamon rolls and they had random peanuts on them, my son is allergic, and now I honestly don’t trust feeding him any of it, clearly the peanuts are flying in all directions back there. This is just a heads up to folks who have to avoid nuts :)

The fritters were amazing! Just the right combination of moist and crispy. The maple bacon fritter«tastes like guilt, in a good way,» according to my husband. There were fun flavors like pineapple fritter, caramel cream cheese fritter and chocolate peanut butter. The regular doughnuts, however, were not so great. We got there before seven am on a Saturday, and I’m pretty sure many of the doughnuts were day old. Some friends went later in the morning and they looked better, so my guess is they backfill with day old until the new ones come out. The maple and chocolate bars were fresh, but all the round doughnuts we had were dry and pretty stale. We’ll be back for the fritters, but will pass on the doughnuts.
