Husband I go in yesterday to get a late lunch. After looking at the menu, I politely ask if the chicken is white or dark meat. I don’t care for dark meat chicken, personal preference, the waitress tells me, you don’t want white meat chicken its to dry and laughs basically in my face. You do not tell the customer what they want!!! We left, and won’t be back

I love the sushi. I always have a California roll, it’s hard to screw that up, but all of the other sushi’s(I’ve tried most of them), are also really great. I love their miso, I think it is the best I’ve ever had anywhere. Most all of their soups are fantastic, I love most of the entrees, all of the main dishes. They always use great fresh veggies, but I am not a fan of squash and string beans in my plates, you do have to ask what veg is in each thing, and ask not to have certain things if you don’t like them. The rice is consistently not well done. That really is my only complaint about the food at all. The rice needs work. But rice is a big deal with Oriental food. The sushi rice is great, but the other rice dishes are not good. From the steamed white rice to the stir fried rice, just too hard and dried out tasting, not overcooked or undercooked, just OLD from the texture. They have great tempura, too, though. Don’t use the restroom unless you are adventurous, it is hidden in the back, and I saw some things in the hallway, I wish I hadn’t.

Very good food. Great, friendly service, Always cheerful and happy. They know us by name, know all of our kid’s from our 24 yr old down to our 2 year old! They make it a point to know their customer’s, not in a nosy way, because they are genuinely interested. She has a son in the military, we have 2 in the military. .it’s nice to share common thing’s like that, our children’s accomplishments, personal faiths, being proud America’s. It makes us feel like we’re with friend’s, very pleasant and peaceful. Great atmosphere, wonderful people who run it and work there. And great food! Kind of Korean and Japanese? Exciting great all mixed in one. OHYEAH! YOUHAVETOTRYTHEIRSPRINGROLLSEITHERASANAPPETIZERORMEALITSELF! UNLIKEANY I’VEHADBEFORE! She makes her own peanut sauce recipe to for for! For those who feel it is outdated and needs to be remodeled, it’s very clean and it does have am older style of decorating, but that doesn’t affect the great meal and service. I like the way they have it. This is still a small town, who needs flashy or modern décor? That would only change the warmth somehow. In my opinion. I love the early 80’s Waterfall wall paper. Lol. Totally retro

Always nice to have a meal at. Grandson loves the gyoza and fried rice. Waitress always kind to the children. Generous portion of chicken in the fried rice.

I have a weird allergy and asked if a food item(the yaki udon) included those ingredients. The guy said he wasn’t sure but if it did they could take it out. Cool, no problem. I asked if the fried rice had meat in it. «Oh no, that’s vegetables only». Okay cool let’s pile that on too. So out comes my yaki udon and… it has both ingredients I told the guy I was allergic to. The fried rice has pork in it, but very little and I can easily pull that out as it’s large chunks(hence why it’s probaly very little– the pieces are huge =)). So while strict vegans and vegetarians might be irritable about the fried rice, I’m pretty flexible and wasn’t going to whine about something like that It’s dumb to whine when you can work around it. …The yaki udon is a bit different. I’m allergic enough to two of those items that I’d have been sick. He noticed a mushroom and was like«oh nooo». I said«hey it’s okay I can eat around the mushroom» since hey, it’s only one. It might make me a little sick, but I didn’t wanna be a pain. That’s when I noticed the yaki udon was chock full of both mushrooms and bell peppers– both of which I had mentioned as allergies, both of which he said he could have taken out IF they were in it because hey he wasn’t sure(I don’t expect people to know the menu front to back, no big deal that he didn’t know about it). The cucumber roll I ordered is nowhere in sight. So I ate my rice and… waited for that. He comes over and goes«did your cucumber roll ever come out?» Kid, you’re the only waiter and there’s two other tables occupied other than mine. C’mon dude, maybe you’re stoned out of your mind or somethin or you’re sick or what have you but if you’re feelin that off, you really oughta be resting at home. So at this point I mention that the yaki udon is inedible for me and apologize and ask if they can remake it. He goes«oh yeah so… you’re allergic?» At this point I decide I’m not eating a single other thing these people are making because there is some serious miscommunication somewhere and I really don’t wanna stab myself with an epipen today. «Yes, like I mentioned earlier» I say with a smile. «Oh» he says and toddles off back to the kitchen. Out comes, who I assume is, the head chef. She’s a little asian lady who looks mad as hell. «Yaki udon already mix!» she says. It is then I realize that they probably have a great big vat of it back there and they do not cook to order– which is cool! Which is why I asked what vegetables were in it in the first place(I do not expect to be catered to, but when a waiter says they can do special orders for allergies I kinda expect that y’know?). I say«Ohhh. Yeah I’m sorry, I’m allergic-» and am about to say«I’d be happy to order something else» she snaps«Then why you order! You pick around! Not me! We remake but only this time!» and goes back to the kitchen laughing. «I ordered it because your waiter told me he would tell you that I was allergic to those ingredients and that it wouldn’t be a problem,» I say back. She turns, looks at me, and laughs in that derisive way that asian matrons nail so perfectly(* not racism, I spent years in Japan and I have no way I can possibly describe it otherwise, sorry if it offends). No way I’m going to trust that this lady is going to bring me out something fresh that won’t make me sick. No way do I want to give these people a DIME more than what I’ve already eaten. I went up and paid and left the cucumber roll(which appeared after all this) on the table and the yaki udon(which STILL had peppers in it even after they re-did it) behind their counter. And then I left. Now look. I understand that you want your recipes to be enjoyed the way that they’re written and that’s fine. Had I been told there were no substitions I would have found something else with a smile and understanding. Like I said, I spent years in asia and some cooks and chefs are very, very picky about how they serve their food. They want you to have the full flavor and believe that leaving some of it out ruins the dish. I am completely empathetic to that. I have no problem with that. I’m very passionate about food and it Sucks with a capital S that I can’t consume those particular ingredients because they are in TONS of stuff that looks delicious and smells wonderful. But treating a customer like that, when your waiter was in the wrong, and this brand new customer has been super polite and apologetic about her personal limitations that she has no say over, isn’t cool and isn’t acceptable. In other words, don’t go if you have an allergy of any sort. The yaki udon I was served looked very nice. It’s just too bad I wasn’t able to have any of it, and too bad that due to poor customer service I will never, ever be returning.

Teriyaki was good. The interior left a lot to be desired. It was clean but just small, dark, and ugly. Nice people and quick service. I might return for to-go food.

Very delicious sweet and sour chicken. I called and placed my order and they said it would be ready in 5 minutes. Very quick service when I went inside even though they had customer in the dining area. Dressing for the salad is on point!
