What an amazing experience. The food was phenomenal. Our waiter (the owners son) was such a delight. Can’t say enough great things about this place!!!

I am a chef and this is the best food that I have eaten in a long time! We had given up on eating Calamari when going out. But this Calamari was so soft, well seasoned, crispy, just all around Delicious! The bread was so soft and flaky! I also had the Penne Ala Vodka, huge portion, nice smokey flavor. I am usually very picky, but there wasn’t anything I could say bad about this place. Even the friendly people that were watching the baseball game said great big hellos. Our waitress was over the top friendly! I felt like family! If you are in this area, I suggest you stop in this 5 Star restaurant! They earn it!

Great neighborhood spot with great food. With so many neighborhood places going to crap you can tell that they take pride in there food. On the outside looks like a regular bar and burger spot. But once you enter this establishment you realize there is more to this spot. The food was well seasoned and the people in the bar was very friendly. You receive huge portions for a single person so i can imagine how much food the family offers. And I also got the Cheers vibe from this place. You will not be disappointed.

I don’t get to visit this bar/​restaurant as often as I should, but I did this passed weekend and had to share how awesome it was.
Came to the bar with a friend and was greeted warmly by the bartender who served us quickly and efficiently. We wanted to wait to eat dinner so we had a few drinks, we couldn’t help but notice how friendly the crowd was to us and too each other. They were funny and it really seemed like a real life CHEERS.
We got a table and our waiter was very sweet to us, he was attentive even though it seemed busy.
The appetizers and entrees were very generous in portion, we couldn’t finish it all so we took it to go because it would be a shame not to finish it. The sauces were amazing, the meat was tender. The bread was even warmed to perfection.
We didn’t do dessert but we think we should have. I can’t imagine dessert not being as awesome, but we were full. We returned to the bar on the way out where we had one more drink and were given a warm thank you and goodbye by the bartender.
Wonderful place, I highly recommend, and come hungry!

To give this place less than four stars is crazy. It what is it is. A great neighborhood restaurant/​bar with very authentic home cooked italian food. Everyone is friendly and you’ll leave with a full stomach and smile on your face. The owner Dominic is more than welcoming. I recommend it to anyone the next they pass through Yonkers:)

The food is not bad, my problem came after I left.
The bill was $ 29. I added $ 6 tip. My bank took $ 44. No good. They did something to the bill after I left.
No excuses for this. I will not return.

This used to be my favorite place to go and sit and relax and laugh with good friends, cold beers and good company.
We used to frequent this place because it was quiet and not like the places further west on McLean Ave.
However, one bartender having a bad day turned my oasis into a plave I will NEVER go again.
On the phone texting all night after the owners left, he spent this particular night ignoring and being oblivious to the patrons at the bar – not just to myself, but others at the opposite end that asked me to get his attention.
He did not like this.
Then a little while later, his usual friendly demeanor quick turned to rage when questioned about why our tab was the way it was (we were overcharged) and proceeded to scream at my friend and I, threw money across the bar onto the floor and then had the audacity to call me a CU*T 3 times in front of other patrons for no reason. yes the degrading and UNCALLED for «C» word.
The next day I contacted one of the owners and apologetic, he promised to make the situation right and he would get back to me.
I was humilated publicly embarrased and more hurt than anything else that this happend and the fact the owners didn’ t do a thing about it, is disgusting.
As of the time of this review I have NOT heard a peep from the establishment in any manner.

Used to frequent but will never return. My friend was verbally assaulted by the on-​duty bartender (He called her a C*NT.), which is unacceptable under any circumstances. Even more unacceptable is the fact that neither one of us ever received a response from the owner after reporting what happened. Most bosses would have fired an employee for such an unconscionable act but to not even be offered an apology or some lame explanation is completely shameful and disgraceful. I refuse to frequent an establishment that treats customers so poorly, and I urge others to stay away as well.

Amazing place. Great food, wonderful employees and great prices. Had my moms 50^th bday here which I planned from California with Dominic, he was nice and patient. Ellen was the best server hostess we could have asked for. What great people and yummy food.

A very humble-​looking restaurant on the corner of MacLean Ave and Bronx River Road that seems to have been around since the Truman Administration. I didn’t know anything about it or have any inkling to go until my fiancée took me here last night and I was pleasantly suprised. Solid Italian food for decent prices. and I have to say the rigatoni with proscutto, onion, and basil I had was one of the best, most flavorful pastas I have ever had. layers of flavor. I am going back just for that.
