BEWAREOFHAIR!!! I wish I had checked these Unilocal reviews before eating here. Three weeks ago I came to this location and had chicken classic burritos. Both burritos had long GREY hairs in them. I decided to give it another chance tonight and before I left the drive through window I asked to speak to the manager. Lo and behold the manager that approached the window had long GREY hair. I told her about the experience I had and she seemed bothered by me bringing it up. I told her I wasn’t looking for a free meal or anything– I just hoped the issue would be addressed. My meal tonight had a long hair in the burrito AGAIN — at least this time it wasn’t grey though! I love el pollo but do not go to this terrible location if it is at all possible. The one in Anaheim Hills is my future location of choice.

Went this Pollo Loco and asked for 4 chicken breast, they said my limit was 3. I asked why is there a limit? They replied they are on a shortage of chicken breast and they have to save more for other families to order. WTF!!! If I am not mistaken it is «POLLOLOCO»!!! This means you sell chicken!!! GEEEEZ!!! Not sure what there issue is, but they obviously do not want the business. Maybe sell this place to «Juan Pollo» they have never limited me on buying chicken breast… WOW Pollo Loco, read your reviews, this is horrible for your customers. 2nd time this has happened so I had to write something on them.

I have been living in YL for over 20 years and have enjoyed this Pollo Loco and its service. I don’t know if there has been a change in either ownership or new managers but this place has gone down way down in service and cleanliness by 10 times. The other night I tried it again and they ran out of some food no containers for the salsa no tea and the trash on the floor and the salsa bar was ridicules. If your saying what time it was 730 pm and people kept asking for more items that they didn’t have. Then I counted 3 customers who walked in after their drive thru orders were not correct. Please someone needs to take care of this mess.

SLOW! Went through the drive through tonight. I spent 45 minutes in the drive through. SLOWSLOWSLOW! I would have been better off stopping at Sprouts and cooking my own dinner! FAIL!!!

I was disappointed, the dining area was really hot, the heater was on, when I asked the manager to turn it off I was told they don’t have control of the heater or AC. If the manager of the restaurant doesn’t have control of the climate in th restaurant who does? Food was okay.

Horrible chicken. Got terrible heartburn. It took the cashier 4 times to take my simple order, it was wrong, and cold when I received it. The dining area tables are filthy with chicken grease. The soda machine for sprite tasted funny. Chips stale. Don’t recommend. Mgmt doesn’t seem to care or the food and appearance of restaurant would be better. El Pollo Loco going downhill.

I am sitting in the drive-thru here and figured I would write this review… I also have found the time to pay my bills, play a game of Sudoku and catch up on emails… this is my SECOND time in two weeks sitting in this drive-thru line… if I could give any advice it would be to avoid this El Pollo Loco at all cost… I am trapped with all of these other cars… if Dante’s Inferno could include ONEMORE time level of hell it would be this drive-thru.

This place is filthy. Trash cans over following, salsa bar was empty and had bits of food all over it. The floors need to be swept, table felt scuzzy, and the bathrooms were gross. At one point, someone refilled the empty salsa bucket but didn’t bother to clean up the food all over the bar top. It wasn’t that busy. There is no reason for a restaurant to ever look that way. I will never eat here again.

They always screw up my order and I go almost everyday you would think they know it by heart and there is a chunky girl with glasses which is the only one at this location she’s really rude I’ve seen her be rude to other customers just today she rolled her eyes at an older man cause he said no cheese and they added cheese she told him it’s just a little but I guess I’ll remake it like I don’t even know how she even has a job she looks like she just woke up all dirty looking but again I see why she’s like that.

Had to go here cause my wife likes their Tostada Salad. Not any more. The chicken was dry and inedible and the idiots forgot the avocado I asked for and no doubt was charged for. And as I mentioned in my last review — no root beer(coincidentally the same reason I hate McDonalds) I ordered MY Dinner from Tio Chavas, which was excellent as usual, something all these one star reviewers should do!

This is the absolute worst location. It’s the only one nearby so I keep trying hoping they’ll get better but it’s always they same result. They never have enough chicken for a family meal so I always have to wait about 20 minutes. Tonight, the manager said he could do 8 mixed pieces and 8 leg and thigh pieces so I wouldn’t have to wait and then the employee on the register tried to charge me for two separate 8 pc meals which would’ve been more expensive! Why would I pay more for something that you said you’d do for me because I’ve always had to wait before? The manager overheard this conversation and did nothing but stare at me. I always thought I’d just come at a busy time and gave them the benefit of the doubt, but it seems like this is just how the store is. Ridiculous. I’ll stick to KFC from now on.

After posting this poor review and also going on El Pollo Loco’s website and sending them a copy of my review, they(El Pollo Loco) contacted me through Unilocal and asked me to contact them to make it right for me. Basically they provided me a link to the exact feed back page I previously filled out. Great, so I can waste my time filling out the same form again. No thanks El Pollo Loco. How about you just address the issues at your store and get your response to customers straight and stop wasting my time.

The only reason I go is because it’s one of the only places by where I work. Horrible service. Always don’t have something in stock. Employees are zoned out. They mess up on orders. Really bad service.

This is the worst El Pollo Loco I’ve been to. Nearly every time I go, something is wrong with my order. When I ask for multiple chicken breasts for example, many times they say«they don’t have enough chicken».. Chicken is LITERALLYINTHENAMEOFTHEESTABLISHMENT! BUYMORE! I went there today. They actually were THIS close to getting it right… ALMOST. There was no salad dressing on my side salad. I asked«can I please have some salad dressing? There’s none on my salad.» «Sure, sorry about that… *walks to the back to get me some – comes back empty handed* we’re actually all out of salad dressing. We only have lite dressing» so I said, «okay…lite dressing is better than no dressing. I don’t want to eat plain lettuce.» *goes to get lite dressing – he comes back empty handed* «we’re actually out of salad dressing… sorry» I walked out. Previous times the salad issue has happened in the drive-thru. How do they fix it? They give me green salsa instead. I’m sure they think«The salad dressing and the salsa are the same color, they won’t even notice». HAVEYOUTRIEDGREENSALSAONTHEIRSALAD?! It’s disgusting.

I would give this restaurant negative stars if possible. After receiving my order wrong several times through the drive-thru and told that they were closed when they were open for 30 more minutes, I decided to finally write a Unilocal review about their piss poor service. This place needs new management and someone in the drive thru that can work a computer. I went into the restaurant 30mins before close and one of the employees said, «sorry we are closed and we are not taking orders». I have worked in the food industry and understand trying to get out on time or leave earlier, I get it; but if you are El Pollo Loco you can’t just stop serving food at some arbitrary time. This is by far the worst El Pollo Loco I have ever been to and we definitely not return.

Stopped using drive thru about 3 years ago. I was in a hurry and decided to use. Same problem. Order was wrong and i asked the drive up clerk to verify my order. I read off my receipt and she said yes. No it was not right. I complained to corporate and i got a letter giving me a free side dish. Paid for a burrito and got a cup of beans. Good food. Bad drive up service. They don’t get it.

This is the worst Pollo loco I’ve had. The tortillas were obviously reheated several times, they were drenched in the center with oil and crusty on the ends. The chicken was also very old and hard. DISGUSTING!!!
