Just came from dinner there; in town for college tours. Décor is kind of drab but food was really good. Seasoned very well and in heaping portions. My daughter had yakisoba which she liked a lot. I had chicken bulgogi which came with kimchi, beansprout, and yam side dishes. The chicken bulgogi was awesome; medium spicy and very tender. Price was fair and service was attentive. Highly recommend.

Initially when I found this place 2 weeks ago, I loved them. They were going to be my weekly go-to for sushi. Just went there today, and it broke my heart. They don’t serve from the lunch menu during weekends and they discontinued their All-You-Can-Eat menu. This is all due to new ownership from what I’m told by the waiter. I loved the service, but they’re not going to compete with Saisaki for my money until they can fix these. I think many will feel the same way.

The food was great we went right before closing, my wife loves hibatchi so much going I am getting tired of it. This place is the exception even though they were going to close they food quality was exceptional and the service was great. I would recommend this if your ever in the Yorktown area.

Love this place! They have a great variety and everything I have tried has been great. My experiences have been consistent dining in and getting Togo which is a major plus.

Best sushi in Hampton roads! They provide special plates for parties and group events. They made my table a rose made of sashimi! Before we started eating… The sushi chef came over to our table with a hand held burner and made our sashimi rose«bloom»! Servers are extremely nice and their food is tasty. Highly recommended!

First time here ever. First impression was good until I looked at the menu. I was kinda looking forward to steak(due to me not liking seafood and went there for my husband to enjoy it) then our waitress(Katie) was just so amazing. She helped me use my chopsticks, kept very well control of our table and made sure our food was perfect! She was so amazing and made my first experience make me want to have a second! I will be back! Thank you katie(:

I had to post only one star. I did not get a chance to order the food, because no one acknowledged my husband and when we walked in the door. We waited patiently for a hostess or a waitress to turn around and let us know they will be with us. It appeared there was only one waitress working and she was very attentive to her table, however, one look at us across her shoulder with a greeting would have given us enough to wait a little longer but nothing. Therefor we walked out as if not being noticed at all and went to the restaurant next door.

Great food! Ingredients were fresh and service wekas good. Hibachi cook was new(you could tell) but very courteous. Good amount of food for the price.

The best hibachi restaurant that I’ve had, hands down. The show was awesome and he included us in it, and the food was really tasty. Nicely seasoned and heaping portions. They even gave us a free appetizer because we had to wait a little while before the chef came out. I took a star off for the sushi. It was falling apart and the taste wasn’t good. However we will return for the hibachi. Kind of pricy also, compared to other hibachi restaurants.

Love their hibachi grill show. Daughter makes us go to the«fire show» every time. Food is delicious and for the price you end up taking half of it home for left over because its a lot of food. Husband likes the Korean dishes on their menu as well as their hot sake.

Miyaki has great jjajangmyeon! My best friend and I love going for that and sushi. Sometimes we do hibachi but not usually. I find that their prices for Korean food are way overpriced. There’s other places in the area for a cheaper price. Miyaki IS good though. Sometimes I feel like whoever is my server forgets about my table.

Just ordered the green muscles. Not quite what I expected. The mussel shells were burnt slightly causing a burnt taste on the muscles itself. They dressed it with spicy mayo. They were a little too chewy and a bit dry.

After reading the reviews for this restaurant, I’m wondering if we’re reviewing the same place??? The place wasn’t too crowded… there was just one server for the whole place, but he was efficient. The place seemed dingy and unorganized. We ordered 4 specialty rolls and they were terrible. The fish wasn’t fresh and had a gross texture… I had to fight the urge to become ill… It was gross… will not be back…

I am just shocked that there were so few people at this restaurant today, so I’ll call it a hidden gem. Or blame the weather. This is fantastic sushi. I gauge sushi on its freshness, not so much on whether or not they have lots of different kinds. They have a decent variety, yes, but goodness the flavor is so delicious. A true foodie I guess would know the right words – all I can say is that it didn’t even smell like fish. Also? They have BIDETS.

We just moved to Hampton Roads from the West Coast where you can’t go two blocks without bumping into a fantastic Japanese restaurant. So, when we moved here we were a bit sad to see the spare and lower quality selections available. Today we stumbled across Miyaki and have found some really high grade Japanese food. We had delicious and beautifully prepared sushi with very fresh seafood. We also had light and tasty tempura bento boxes with fresh, buttery salmon. Yum! The staff were very friendly, helpful and engaging without being intrusive or pushy. We already cannot wait to go back and try new things. BTW — the hurricane roll knocked it out if the park! Amazing!

Best quality of sushi in the area in my opinion. Other places some of the shell fish smell, and its hard to eat. But here it’s very clean Shrimp Tempura is great! cant go wrong with fried food!
