Kirby’s

We were here for a holiday get-​together with family. The waitress was pleasant and attentive, the Cubn sandwich special was great, and the sweet potato fries were some of the best I’ve had. They also had a great selection of local beers, and who doesn’t want to take home a growler of what they’ve enjoyed with their meal?

I’ve came here a few times over the years, but the food is nothing to die for, it’s eh. The service is good though, the waiters are very kind.

Hadn’t eaten here in years and remembered it to be good. Was very disappointed I ordered a steak Wich was ok but my girl ordered seafood platter that had to be sent back twice so by the time she ate my food was ice cold. Just not a pleasant experience. Service was good. Manager took the platter off the bill for a meal she didn’t even eat (whoop-​di-​do). Wouldn’t go back

Wife and I were in the Utica area and Kirby’s came recommended by family. So we stopped in to try the place out and were pleasantly surprised. We both had steaks, mine with mashed potatoes, she had the mac and cheese. Everything was cooked perfectly, steak was delicious and service was outstanding. If I’m in the area again, I would most likely stop back at Kirby’s.

On October 18^th, 2014, my husband and I came in for a meal at about 8:00 pm. I had the worst restaurant experience here. Our waitress brought out our salads and we sat with the food in front of us for 5 minutes before we could flag her down to let her know we didn’t have utensils. She came back another five minutes later with utensils. We didn’t have time to start the salad before the entrée was brought out. My husband ordered the lobster mac and cheese that had one small piece of lobster (not what either of us expected for $ 15) and I had ordered the steak and lobster tail. I had requested the steak rare and it arrived medium-​well. I returned it and the waitress brought back a steak that was raw inside and out. I felt I was being messed with for returning the food. I went to cut in to the lobster tail and found it raw and tasting of nothing but paprika. The only good thing I can say was that I didn’t waste money on the meal, as the manager took it off the bill. I hope this is not how the kitchen is operated on a daily basis. I was VERY disappointed and insulted dining here.

Very consistent and always great! For the most part the Staff is always good, but there were a couple times where the server wasn’t the best.
Prices are great, and well worth it since the food is always great.

Stopped in on a Sunday afternoon, pleasantly surprized that there was a special menu. The day’s special choices were Steak and Lobster at $ 14.99 or a Complete Roast Turkey Dinner for $ 10.99.
The turkey arrived so fast, I thought it was a «fast food» place! Great value, moist turkey, mashed potatoes, dressing and superb squash. Oh yeah, and a small dish of cranberry sauce.
We finished with Tollhouse Pie, and an Apple Cobbler. Too much food without a nap, as we still drove 1 hour home. Almost like Thanksgiving without the parade. We would visit again.
