Just… don’t. Once my boyfriend ordered biscuits and gravy and when it came, the gravy was just pepper-speckled white water that the biscuits were sitting in. There were some weird, gross lumps of «gravy» on top of the biscuits. We tried to send it back but the waitress just said that the person who cooked it had«let it sit in the window too long so the gravy melted.» I’m pretty sure that gravy wouldn’t melt like that. It looked like the gravy had been made with three times as much water as was needed. Instead of taking the plate away, she left it and got a bowl of fresh gravy. Looking back, I should have been more insistent about the plate leaving the table. I made my boyfriend put a napkin over it because I couldn’t stand looking at it. We still talk about it sometimes. When I remember it, I get a little nauseous. Other than that, I quickly learned not to order any sausages or meat in general here. There’s always that mysterious chunk of hard stuff inside it. Is it bone? Gristle? A piece of glass or metal? I don’t know — I don’t care. I don’t want my sausage to have inedible hard pieces. Just. Don’t.

Was there a few minutes ago Received no service at all I left. Waitress that sat me just picked up menus and threw them at a table. People that sat after me were getting orders taken. Management acknowledged me once I put my coat on but passed by me twice before.

My husband and I are pretty consistent IHOP customers(many different states) we only eat halal food, so the pancakes and veggie omelettes are great choices for us when we are in an area that doesn’t have a lot or any halal restaurants. The food is always pretty tasty. What made this particular visit unpleasant was the horrible service. The server(luckily, wasnt ours) that seated us was so rude and condescending. Uhm, get over yourself missy. Bad service is a huge negative. It affects your meal from start to finish. While our server was pleasant enough, she forgot alot for things and took forever refilling our coffees. We will still be frequenting IHOP, just not this particular one ever again. Why accept rude, slow service, when we can try the Denny’s down the street. They have omelettes and pancakes too.

I decided to visit this location for a midday breakfast. The place was ok for an Ihop. The waitress was kind and attentive. I ordered the pancake combo with bacon, sausage and eggs. The meal came out pretty quickly. i noticed that the sausage was not there so I told the waitress to forget it. She brought it out anyway and stated that it was free. Overall it was a good meal. Not the best but good. It is a cool place to go for an any time breakfast.

Came here for breakfast with my husband and daughter, it’s a quiet place for being a pretty busy restaurant. I ordered the steak and cheese omelette, it was huge! Couldn’t finish it. Husband ordered a burger and fries… Nothing to complain about.

Terrible service. My party, and I have been waiting over an hour for food. When we inquired about the delay, after the entire restaurant has food, all we received was attitude. The waiter was unaware of what we ordered then asked if we wanted to have To-go boxes. There were no apologies for our wait other than the excuse that it is «busy». A busy day doesn’t excuse over an hour wait and rude servers. If the server would have simply let us know there would be an extended wait, or came to check in us to see of we needed refills, or was apologetic after we inquired about our food everything would have been better. There were 3 people at my table, who joined us after we ordered and put in a to-go orders and they all came before we got food. As I’m writing this review my server is still rude and my food has still yet to come.

Avoid this place! Service took hours. Food had hair on multiple plates & the bill was completely messed up at the end. The manager asked us what he was supposed for us! This location needs a corporate review and an email will be forwarded as well. There’s a lot going on here that’s wrong.

Wait time was a bit long. Table wasn’t set with silverware. We had to ask another waiter that was walking by for silverware. We had to constantly ask for water refills. Waitress did not constantly check on us. Restaurant wasn’t even full of people.

Don’t even get me started on how horrible my experience was here. I went twice, once on a Friday night and then that following Saturday night. Both times I had to wait an extended amount of time just to be seat, no one even acknowledged that people were waiting to be seat. Once I was finally seated, I had to wait forever just to get my drink. My food came out cold, and disgusting(BOTHTIMES!). That Friday, when I went to pay they had a lady behind us cut in front of us since the person at the cash register wasn’t our server. I personally will never go there again. It was not only a waste of time, but a waste of money. I came to eat after a long night at a concert and a long night at a club… and all I got was a horrible continuation of a long night.

Do not eat here if you are a vegetarian! They are unwilling to change anything based on you(the customers) diet. They do not care. I will never eat at this ihop again. Probably won’t ever eat at any ihop ever again. There are other local spots that are 100x better. We spoke to the manager, told us not to disrespect him, so we left before we even ordered. The place is gone down hill. They need to get with the current times. They lost my business as a customer. We left and went to the golden egg, which is amazing by the way! Sorry IHOP. We’re breaking up.

We have eaten here many times. This time, we were told we could not substitute meat for fruit or hashbrowns in the combo we always get. We asked to talk to the manager. He was extremely rude. When we asked him why we could not, he said you just cant. When I asked a second time, he told me to stop disrespecting him. I was not disrespecting him, I was calmly asking why I could no longer substitute since we don’t eat meat. He also said that had been the rule since day one. However, we had been there about 20 times in the past year and it had never been a problem. I am extremely dissapointed. I love ihop. But if they have a new policy where vegetarians can’t get fruit instead of meat with their meal… I will no longer give them my business. And I will most definitely not be going back to the Ypsilanti Ihop. The manager does not care about his customers!

IHOP is always a great choice for breakfast. We stopped at this location on a road trip to see family and were not dissappointed. ery clean restaurant and friendly service. Food quality is always there, while not a «gourmet» restaurant there is never a bad meal to be had here. The new addition of the pancake balls was quite a treat… I reccommend them with the cinnamon & sugar!

I went here once when I was sober. My sobriety on my other visits is in question. Regardless, the food and service are about what you’d expect for an IHOP. It’s nothing that will blow your hair back, but it gets the job done. I will say though, if you do happen to be under the influence, the food does taste better. I’m not sure if that’s an insult to IHOP or a compliment to what ever you’re under the influence of, but as long as it tastes good, does it really matter?

The wait was horrible, but we did have a large party so I’m not going to complain. The waiter was very accommodating and the food was delicious.

If you don’t mind waiting a hour for your food, I’m sure it’s fabulous. Unfortunately I don’t have two hours to wait for eggs and hash browns.

Horrible service every time. Food is always amazing but it’s pretty irritating to not ever get refills and to not get complete orders. It took over an hour to get our meal, in all it was about an additional half hour to wait for a table and we got no refills the whole time. Upon speaking with a manager they stated«well you came here». I rather trek out to a better serviced ihop.

I like IHOP. I have good memories of IHOP from when I was a kid, so I’m predisposed to like it, but even so. Plus I like breakfast and pancakes, so how could I go wrong? Pancakes are pretty straightforward, and IHOP does them well, from basic buttermilk to more exotic seasonal varieties. There are other breakfast items on the menu(omelettes, crepes, etc.) which are fine, but pancakes are the way to go. They do non-breakfast items as well, but do you go to a Chinese restaurant to order lasagne? Of course not, so stick with breakfast, preferably with an endless cup of coffee. IHOP is usually pretty busy, but the wait is rarely long. The staff are usually pleasant and the order is always correct. The food is reasonably priced and I never feel rushed. Very relaxing. Now if they could only bring back the cornmeal pancakes. I thought they were great, but apparently no one else did. C’est la vie.

I used to love IHOP, and tried to come by as often as possible because pancakes(I mean, sure, you so get things to go with your pancakes.) and nothing else really needed to be said. Unfortunately, I had a terrible experience there recently so I can’t see myself coming back for anything but. When I go out to eat, I make it obvious that I’m vegetarian by asking if literally everything I order is vegetarian. When ordering breakfast in particular, I make sure to specify that I’m very aware that my meal comes with a choice of bacon or sausage but I don’t want it because I don’t eat meat. I ordered pancakes, eggs, toast and hash browns. Awesome! Items come out. Items smell like bacon. But this whole place smells like bacon, doesn’t it? I think nothing of it until I get nauseous halfway through my meal. I couldn’t eat anymore, obviously, and I ended up running to the restroom to puke. My partner later did the same thing. When we ask our waitress if our meals were cooked with bacon, she tells us yes. I would have rolled my eyes a hundred times if I wasn’t afraid I’d get sick again. We pay, we leave, delicious pancakes unfinished. I spent the rest of that day feeling fairly disgusting and angrily grumbling at IHOP under my breath. So fellow vegetarians that probably already knew this, most breakfast places cook everything on a skillet and don’t think it matters since they aren’t serving the bacon to you. Be careful, but enjoy your pancakes because they’re cooked separately!

I haven’t been to IHOP in over 15 years and the last one I visited was in LA area… since this is the only IHOP in the area, it’s busy and when I got there, folks were waiting inside and outside… luckily, my other family members came early and we were able to get tables for about 15 folks… This place was busy and looked very unorganized and hectic to say the least… and sadly the service showed it too… It took about 20 minutes to get coffee and another 10 minutes to get water and by the time they took our order, it was 30 minutes or so after we got seated… the waitress however was awesome despite the place being busy… she not only took our orders without writing things down, the orders came out exactly what we ordered, granted it took a while until the foods got to the right folks… but overall the waitress was great, even though she was manning five other tables. The food was decent, I had mushroom and spinach omelet… the hash brown was okay… Definitely avoid the weekends if you can… expect to wait a little, however based upon todays visit, the turnover was quicker then I thought it would be…
