Another reviewer talks about some of the games found at Earth Explorer toys having German names … those games and toys are from the toymaker Haba, and those are some of our favorites in this house. We love the game Tier auf Tier, which is this great little balancing game with wooden animals that you build pyramids out of. The kids love that one. (So do I.)
This shop has all the stuff I love and love to buy the kids. I love any store where you can find toys that aren’t ALL commercialized crap. I like the vintage toy finds and the wooden stuff. The kids love the unique games and kits. I love that there’s ROOM to look around and play … the stuff isn’t stuffed into this store like other toy stores in Indy.

The coolest toy shop I’ve been to in a long time. They have plasma cars – cool bike-like things that go without pedal power … possibly not the greatest way to teach kids about exercise, but then, it holds up to 220 pounds!
I’m a game nerd so I was excited to find a ton of new and novel games for kids and adults of all ages. A couple even came with quaint illustrations and German names – but with English instructions inside.
Godzilla blocks were of predictably large size. «Smencils» come in scents like root beer. There’s nothing in this shop that isn’t quaint, and that isn’t meant to be handled with your hands. That’s a good thing.
