Used to be the Indian Brasserie — those lovely guys moved up the road — called The Delhi Lounge. Inigma is the bomb. Best menu around. One of my favourite selection of menus in Ireland! Great décor. Fresh food. Just love this gem! Breakfast menu and food is fab. Lunch menu is unbeatable for price and quality. The dinner menu is lovely — reminds me if dinner menu of Bijou in Rathgar!

I am loathe also to be a tad negative here, but, there can be very slow service on just a couple of coffees. Also where’s the Irish beef sign outside. I may change my mind, because of a great location. Strangely too, very well known Indian restaurant here previously, closed for some work, Enigma appeared! Let’s hope for an improvement.

Very sleek and modern restaurant … Service was great … Very decent selection on the menu … They do great lunch deals ! Chicken wings for starters were delicious. However we ordered one portion between two and they charged us for it as a main ! Boo ! Maybe we should have been a bit clearer in our order I don’t know but they probably should have clarified for us that there is a single portion and a double instead of assuming . Lamb burger was quite dry … lovely side salad. and chips are chips . Dessert and coffee were fab …

Really love the Enigma Bar and Grill. It is gorgeous on the inside so bright and light and funky and modern and clean and relaxing. It’s everything. I love the little areas they have, tables for one or two, large tables for groups and a counter table. You can come in and just have a coffee and read the paper, perfect during the morning and early afternoon when it is quite or come in and indulge in the super menu. I love the express lunch option of three picks from the menu for € 10 or the night time menu is so good and seasonal too. Hands down they have the best apple pie I have ever had! Amazing.

Loath as I am to knock an addition to the locality, I was underwhelmed by Enigma on our first visit. No problem getting a last minute booking on a Friday night so we rocked up, on cue, at 6.30. Room was pleasant and service attentive throughout. Daughter ordered the ‘butchers block’ which, when it arrived, consisted of various different cuts of pork — sausage, belly and an enormous chop dumped on a bread board. Sausage was not shared but both of the other pieces were simultaneously dry and fatty(good trick that) and tasted pretty much the same. Much of it went back at the end of the meal. Other half had sole which was served on what seemed like a cabbage/potato mix which tasted decidedly odd. Not bad, just odd. I had the special — sea bass with potatoes. Based on the description, I had expected mash but got wedges which were on the underdone side. In both cases, the fish itself was cooked to perfection, very fresh and very tasty. In general, the food looked unappetising with little effort put in to presentation. As we partly eat with our eyes, the poor presentation was, sadly, very off putting. The Fat Bastard Pinot Noir, however, was excellent and really good value. We will give it another whirl in a few months. Maybe the food stylist was off !!

Have eaten here twice and I have to say its a great addition to the area. Reasonably priced and very good steaks in particular. A bit of a hick up with my order on the second visit(only my wife’s main arrived) but that was just one of those things and they were very apologetic, even to the point of a drink on the house which wasn’t necessary but appreciated. All in all friendly staff, good food and a very comfortable setting so we will be back to enjoy it again soon.

Have been here twice since it opened a few months ago and both times the food and service have been excellent. The fillet steak which is ervded on a lava plate that you cook yourself is delicios and comes weith a chunky fries, a battered onion and coleslaw. all delicious. Starters were very good, and they do smalldeserts for 2.50 which are worth having at the end even if you are full! Decent wine — we had athe malbec and it was very nice. Excellent value and well worth the visit. I think it is nicer than its local competitors like the yellow house, and the bijou in rathgar.
