Wow, only 3.5 stars — how can you Unilocalers possibly find anything to dislike about Cath! Aprons, bags, lunch boxes, baby gear — all in fun, cheery prints that will make you smile — that’s a good thing! Went in today right before close and the sales were great — it was probably a good thing that they locked the door shortly after we went inside cuz it forced us to keep our bargain hunting short and on point. Fun stuff and great markdowns made for a fun shopping experience.

Full of expensive slightly kitschy(yes, Kitschy is a word… ish) stuff. Wifey loves it as do most of the females I know so I’m willing to entertain the notion that I’m missing something here. Looks like it should sell sweets, but it doesn’t!

I LOVE cath kidston! It’s unfortunate that you can no longer buy her stuff in the States(unless you’re counting the few stationary things and misc stuff that some specialty stores carry). I visited the London store earlier last year and felt like I didn’t buy nearly as much as I should have. So once the opportunity to come to Dublin presented itself, I immediately signed up with the full intention of going to Dundrum and having a field day. I’m not sure why Ireland is the only place outside of the UK where current Cath Kidston stores exist, but regardless, I’m glad. The Dundrum store is located in the Pembroke District, a bit hard to find if you’re not familiar, but once you do, it’s a girl’s paradise. My one let down was that the Dundrum store didn’t seem to have as many varieties as the UK store, but it still was packed full of treasures. I bought as much as I possibly could, and my wallet will probably need to be bandaged up from having large amounts of euros yanked out of it. The employees here are super sweet. They give you your space to shop, but are always willing to lend a helping hand in case you need to find a «fresh»(aka new) item from the back. They also did a great job wrapping everything up for me. I have to admit that if you are not a huge fan of Cath Kidston, it would probably seem ridiculous to pay those prices for flower-printed bags or making a special trip to Dublin, but be reassured that you are at least paying for good quality items and that there is more to Dublin than a store your girlfriend just might die over.

Cath Kidston likes flowers and she’s not afraid to let you know it. This shop stocks homewares, accessories, toys, baby gear and clothes, most of which feature either petals or stems.(Some of these are gorgeous but others look like things you might find in the back of your granny’s press/sale of work. However, the scale is definitely tipped to the side of gorgeousness.) It’s a great place to go if you are looking for some old-fashioned pretty.
