I am truly impressed. First let me say. The restaurant is gorgeous! So much care and attention have been put into the décor. My husband and I walked in while touring the property of Cabo Azul resort. Sergio was the host and took us on a small tour of the restaurant. He showed us the views and was just really so nice. We told him we would be back when when cleaned up. And that’s what we did. We arrived and were taken immediately to our seats on the patio outdoors. I was a little nervous that it would be too cold outside to be comfortable but they had space Heaters that warmed the space. Sergio was so very attentive to us. I will note that we visited on a Tuesday night and the restaurant was not very busy. Now to the food. They serve complimentary salsa and chips. The salsa was spicy and good. My husband and I were very hungry and selected an appetizer in addition to the La Tablita. Sergio told us that although we were welcome to order what we like, the La Tablita was a lot of food. So probably not necessary to have an appetizer. That was very nice because he did not have to do that. But I’m glad he did. It was soooo much food. They say that it serves 2 but I think 4 people could easily enjoy that. The food was really very fresh and good. The chicken and the peppers were my favorite things. I thought the price of our meal was reasonable. 67 including 2 drinks and a bottled water. Considering we took a huge doggie bag home, that was well worth the price! I will definitely be back and highly recommend this restaurant.

Javier’s is a great spot for a vacation splurge. You can dine indoors or on the patio, and they have a big bonfire outside by the bar side of the restaurant. The staff are super friendly and accommodating, the décor is gorgeous and the food is rich and delicious. As you walk up to a wall of lanterns at night, you expect something special and Javier’s delivers. While the wine I ordered was lacking on our visit, the waiter kindly let me try what was available and I ended up ordering the amazing Javier’s margarita. The enchilada trio is fantastic — one(real) crab, one shrimp and one lobster enchilada. My husband had the Cabo Azul — also amazing. I wasn’t super keen on eating at the resort but I’m really glad he wanted to — our meal was really a delight.

We decided to have dinner at Javier’s for our first night here at Cabo Azul, as it is of course convenient and the dining room is attractive. My husband ordered the ensalada de asada which he found mediocre and I ordered the fish of the day, which the waiter said was sea bass. It came with white rice, black beans and a small amount of vegetable – bland but… The fish on the other hand, stood out – it was so tough that it was actually difficult to cut. I believe it must have been cooked the prior day or so and they saved it to serve. My husband tasted a bit and agreed – really bad. We pointed it out to the person who seemed to be in charge and asked him to take it away and told him we didn’t want to pay for it. He agreed and asked if I wanted something else – I did not. He then left us alone – neither he nor our waiter returned to check on us or deliver our check. After about 15 — 20 minutes, we went to the front area and asked the hostess for our check. The person who had heard our complaint brought it(with no comment or apology for the wait or anything else), we paid and left. I would not return for dinner as I have no confidence in their professionalism or pride, for that matter. They have a breakfast buffet for $ 20/pp that is fine. I can only hope that someone who oversees the restaurant will address the lack of professionalism in both the cooking and the serving of the food here.

Best food I had the whole time in cabo. I’ve been to cabo many times and love to try new places! I got chicken with mole sauce(btw the only place I could find mole sauce) and the chicken was so tender it literally just fell apart. Delicious! My boyfriend got the cabo azul which came with chile rileno, a taco and enchilada which was either filled with lobster or shrimp. All of it was delicious. The service was also fantastic. It is a little pricey but I think it’s worth it.

Very good food, beautiful setting and excellent staff. I would have given it five stars but service is slow with too few waiters. They were always friendly and we enjoyed every meal here.

I don’t know what was better… The food or the service… I love Mexican food… This was the best. The salsas were fresh and delicious. The trio of seafood enchiladas was unbelievable… Highly recommend!

We are staying at this resort. Restaurant is fancy pants mexican. I bet you can go to town and get better food for a fraction of the cost. Sit outside, nice view. Dress is casually nice. We ended up moving inside due to flies and Mosquitos, bot of which like me for dinner and dessert. Great service however if you are staying at the resort you can get better food for the cost at the restaurant by the pool. Flora something… oh! Great sports bar if you want to watch a game.

This restaurant is on the Cabo Azul( ) property and is based on the original Javier’s cantinas in South Orange County( and ). They also recently opened one at the Aria in Las Vegas. The food here is of great quality, although not completely authentic mexican food. What you will pay for here is the attention to detail, the service(impeccable!), the view(you are adjacent to the beautiful Sea of Cortez), and the quiet(Cabo Azul is a peaceful serenity away from the hustle and bustle of Cabo San Lucas). The food is all very tasty. Order the Cabo Azul dish for a fantastic sampler of yummy Lobster Enchilada, Shrimp Chile Relleno, and Shrimp taco. All their seafood dishes are great! On Wednesday nights make sure you make reservations because they have live Mariachi music!
