When I can sit on a rooftop during a late evening happy-hour in February, it’s almost always going to be a positive experience. This was a nice, relaxing little rooftop that we walked over to after dinner one night in Old San Juan. The chirping coquis outside and the quiet streets were a welcome touch, albeit it was almost eerily quiet around this neighborhood when we were there. I tried the happy hour sangria and it was alright. Service was a bit overwhelmed by the full tables and it really did take forever to get a drink or the check, but c’est la vie. After getting the feel for this place and unwinding, we opted to go downstairs to the cocktail bar on the recommendation of a fellow Unilocaler.

I used to really love this place but recently had to give up on it. Service is incredibly slow.

Intimate rooftop wife bar. Need I say more? If so, then I’ll talk about the cool breeze, the friendly staff, the delicious sangria, and the beautiful urban view. But I really think I had you at intimate rooftop wine bar. Spend an afternoon here. You’ll be glad you did.

Let this be a lesson to always charge your phones! Had I been more cellularly responsible I could’ve seen the 10% off check in offer! C’est la vie, I guess, and not to mention an excuse to go back. Roof top patios top my list of favorite things in life, particularly if they’re in chic visually stunning and historic neighborhoods and serve wine! I may have come to see La Fortaleza, but this made the trip! Sitting roof-side edge, with a carafe(jarra) of sangria tinto(red) as the sun goes down, I imagine this is how Hemingway must have spent his downtime. I can see myself up on a rooftop patio in Viejo San Juan with friends and cocktails and a cooling sea breeze everyday! If this isn’t quite your speed(although I can’t imagine why not!), not to worry, each of the three levels(St. Germaine and La Mezzanine) each have their own flair. The servers’ English and Spanish(yes, I insisted on practicing) is impeccable. More than that, they’re friendly, accommodating, and keep the party going! Save some time to pencil this one in your itinerary, and thank me later. Cheers, my friends.

Great location on the rooftop in Old San Juan, far away from the hustle and bustle of the cruise port. Very quaint with high top tables, a couple of couches and hanging lights create a grea atmosphere. Wine was enjoyable and Tapas were quite yummy as well! The bartender was super friendly and helpful. Truly enjoyed this location and will definitely be going back when I return to PR!

Beautiful rooftop terrace, pretty good sangria, and lovely tapas and charcuterie boards. Great place to come during happy hour. My only complaint was that a few chunks of bread on our board had a small amount of mold on them. The bartender-slash-waitress was very helpful in getting us new bread(which was also noticeably fresher), so it wasn’t a bad save.

Came here on a Thursday around 6pm. Started off great with happy hour white Sangria and a cheese plate but went downhill after that. Waitress was really good when we first got there and the place was empty, but then we waited an hour for mushroom bruschetta — which really wasn’t that good. There were 2 girls working but 1 disappeared for about an hour. We’d ordered 2 more drinks but ended up walking over to the bar to get our check and leave after waiting 15 mins with nothing. Nice ambiance and cute place but need to step up the service. I’d give this place a 2nd chance but maybe on a night when my husbands not so hangry!!!

A special spot. Wonderful atmosphere tucked away on the rooftop. Delicious tapas and the white sangria was refreshing!

Andres was the most accommodating waiter. We sat outside on the rooftop patio. By the time our food came it started to rain out of no where. Immediately following a table inside was created for us. The food is terrific. The sampler and cheese sampler are terrific. The drinks were great too.

Came here after a bad experience at another restaurant. Came here for a sangria. It was really weak. The cheese plate was overpriced and two of the meats were processed and two cheeses were artificial. The waitress was excellent, that’s why I gave it three stars because otherwise, it was a loss. We left everything at the table.

This place was out of a lot of things on the menu… STILLCOOL. You need to talk to the bartender to get a great drink recommendation. Its easy going up the steps but honestly don’t try going down if you’re blitzed ;-). Puerto Rico is known for extra strong drinks and heavy pours. I enjoyed the food on wooden boards too.

Very cute little wine bar and a wonderful view of old San Juan. The charcuterie is rather tasty as well. The service was also very nice. The terrace closes most nights at 11pm especially during the week due to this being a residential area.

Quiet, lovely, breezy, romantic rooftop wine bar, best after dark. Simple but high quality small plates and charcuterie. Very popular, might want reservations so you’re not disappointed. Great place to relax, enjoy intimate conversations and pretty street views of Old San Juan. Highly recommend.

Came here at like 6 on a Saturday and the bartender said all the tables in the outdoor space were reserved for the night. He acted like he could care less whether we left or not. There were a few empty tables that I guess were reserved, not sure why he didn’t let us sit their until the people that reserved them arrived. Anyway we sat at the gross inside bar and waited 10 min for bartender to help us. He want busy at all, there was not one person at the inside bar. Asked him which of the two sauvignon blancs were dry(btw there were like 12 wines on the men) and he had no clue. Some«wine bar.» He walked away after that and I have no clue where he went. We just got up and left. Give me this 20 minutes of my life back!!!
