We were VERY happy with our lunch here. The staff was very friendly and accommodating of our food allergies and the food was fresh and delicious. Will always come back here when in town,

We had an amazing brunch here today. Fresh squeezed juices, homemade sauces, great coffee and an incredibly sweet staff. This was a great place for brunch and they have very reasonable prices. Would definitely recommend it for everyone!

Found this in Old San Juan, and everything that our four person party got was delicious. The pita pizzas and the potato Apple soup were my favorite, but I heard that the steak salad was amazing also. The basil mojito was also extremely good. And if they have the carrot cake, you need to get it. Best carrot cake I’ve ever had. The service was great and the area the café is in is very pretty. Definitely the best food I had in Old San Juan!

Best mojitos you will ever have — hands down. They actually use real fruit and not synthetic syrups in their drinks, crazy right?! Who nowadays uses real product in their drinks. :) anyway, we had a great time and enjoyed our delicious, ice cold drinks while walking around in old San Juan. Can’t wait to come back!

We went there for dessert and coffee. Service was quick and very welcoming. The rum cake was moist and well balance. Highly recommended it.

Today we had lunch here because we heard it was very very good. It was. We had to wait about 20 mins to sit down cause we had a party of eight. And, it took a while for the food to finally come out, but we’re on island time. I’m leaving four stars because the quality of my steak sandwich was high. It was a delicious sandwich, my only complaint would be i wanted more!

Highly recommended to us by friends. Very nice place located in Old San Juan. Stopped in for lunch and was not disappointed. We had cocktails and sandwiches — the Vera and Mediterraneo were both quite good. Should have added a side salad for the table though. We were told to expect a long wait. Arrived at 11:30 just as they were opening and seated promptly. Bit of a wait for food, but not bad. The line was around the building by the time we left — so come early or plan to stand in line.

Our first time. Had spinach salad with chicken, cranberry, almonds, cherry tomatoes and feta cheese. Super yummy. The others had steak sandwiches(came with side salad) and they said they were delish too. We will be back!

Nice atmosphere and tasty light food. Great location away from the cruise ship. Great place to relax and hang out, especially the 2nd floor. Good for day or night hang out.

We stopped in rather late, maybe 9:30, and were seated immediately. The air conditioning and soft lighting were a nice respite. The décor was lovely and the service was initially very attentive. I ordered a basil mojito, which surprisingly I didn’t really care for. I love basil but the amount in my drink was overwhelming. My boyfriend had the ceviche salad, which he loved, and I had a panino(prosciutto, pesto, tomato, mozzarella and basil on ciabatta) that was ok. Much like what you’d get at Panera. We would’ve ordered dessert but it took us 15 minutes to get our server’s attention after we were done eating. It wasn’t busy. We finally found her behind the counter in the first room flirting with a coworker. No big deal. We weren’t angry, just didn’t feel like taking another 30 plus minutes for dessert(walking around OSJ all day makes one TIRED.) With so many places to choose from in OSJ, we’ll likely go elsewhere next time.

After some quality beach time we decided to head into Old San Juan for a nice dinner out. We hit a bar for a cocktail and then decided to check out St. Germain. We were warmly greeted as their first guests of the night and invited to choose any of the available seats. We snagged a spot inside a giant picture window looking out onto the street. The eclectic arrangement of tables and chairs were unified by being painted the same shade of white. Delicate cacti in small pots decorated the tables. A mash up of flea market finds and local art adorned the walls. The lighting was soft and the atmosphere was spot on! Our waitress was a delight – and I feel bad that I don’t remember her name – and she went through the menu section by section, making recommendations. We each ordered and iced tea – one black tea one mint. It took a little while and when I inquired, the waitress let me know that they are all hand brewed and shaken. Both teas were delicious! We shared the Moroccan – pita triangles with really fantastic hummus. Then I enjoyed a pita pizza adorned with cream cheese, asparagus, and onions at the waitresses suggestion. It was unusual and delicious and all of the toppings were so fresh! My wife had a sandwich with Buffalo mozzarella, avocado, tomatoes, and pesto. She enjoyed it thoroughly! Also, the sandwich came with a side salad that had the most amazing dressing we have ever tasted on it… unfortunately, St. Germain does not sell it bottled. For dessert I enjoyed a really fine cup of café au lait and we split a delectable Nutella croissant. We will DEFINITELY be going back the next time we visit Old San Juan!

St. Germain’s was pretty good. I ordered the Romana salad which came with pesto chicken. I asked for the peppers on the side and they followed through. They even gave me a chunk of baguette. Food: 8⁄10 Décor/Ambience: 9⁄10 Service: 9⁄10 Total: 26⁄30

Not bad. The ginger lemonade was good. Other than that the sandwiches were average I wouldn’t recommend my friends to come here

Great stop during SanSe! We were hot and hungry and they had food and AC. Food was great but pricey and the service was good but they were a bit busy and unorganized. I do want to go back for brunch during a less crazy time.

My review is based on my experience at the St. Germain Mezzanine(located on the 2nd floor) and then the Bistro(on the first floor). We first had tapas and a few drinks at the Mezzanine because the main restaurant is closed after lunch and then opens up for dinner. The food is perfect for sharing. We ordered the meatballs, pizza, and the tacos. The passion mojito was good but not excellent. We enjoyed the décor, music, and learning about the historical significance of the building. Now for our dinner experience at the Bistro. First of all, there was a line of people waiting to be seated before the restaurant even opened. When the restaurant opened we were taken back by how small the place is. The manager informed us that the other side of the bistro was under construction so there’s limited seating. I was thankful that we arrived early because there would have been no way for us to find a seat if we had been there 30 minutes after the restaurant opening. I asked the manager for some recommendations and he suggested the ceviche and tropical fish dinner. He also took the time to tell us all of the menu items that weren’t available so don’t expect to actually get what you were thinking of getting. Once we placed our order we waited almost an hour for the food to come out. Another thing that I think it’s very important to point out. While at the restaurant our eyes were burning from the smoke in the kitchen. You can actually look up and see a cloud of smoke. There’s an obvious ventilation problem at this restaurant. I’m actually a bit surprised that they allow it to run this way. Once the food came out we were very surprised with the freshness and quality of the food. Give it a try if you must but there’s plenty of other better options in town.

Quaint, sophisticated place in the middle of Viejo San Juan. The business actually spans three floors, each with separate menus and atmosphere. The rooftop bar is a must as it has a wonderful view of the city. The middle floor is a fancier. The bottom floor is where the café is located. Prices are slightly more expensive but the qualify of the food is phenomenal. I wish we tried the basil mojito but I wasn’t in the mood for drinking that day. Lobster Sandwich(~$ 12) — Small but scrumptious. The lobster was cut very thinly. It could have used more meat but the flavor was good. The salad on the side was dressed just right!

I don’t think I have one negative thing to say about this café. This place is the bomb. Simple, elegant, well-made dishes that use quality and fresh ingredients! My boyfriend and I stopped in for a mid-week lunch and had soup(du jour was a carrot and Parmesan soup), sandwiches(mozzarella, pesto, prosciutto) and salads. We also indulged in two cocktails, which were my favorite part of the meal! I’m pretty picky when it comes to mixed drinks just because I’m always nervous that they’ll be too sweet. However, These drinks were truly nothing to fret over. The basil mojito was so incredibly refreshing; it tasted like summer! The ginger margarita was also fantastic– a perfect balance of sweetness and acidity. Ironically, this was my favorite restaurant in old San Juan! A French restaurant in the Caribbean– who would have guessed?!

I was exhausted from walking around old San Juan on just 3 hours of sleep. It was very nice to come here for dinner. Its such a small little cute restaurant and our waitress was extremely friendly. The drinks here are freshly made and our delicious. A cocktail is about $ 8. I had some soft of drink with vodka and lots of strawberries, yum. We started off with hummus and bread. We ran out of bread and they brought us more. I had the steak pita sandwich for my main course, which was delicious. For desert, you must have the nutella croissant. Yes, its evil yet delicious. Lots of butter and nutella? I can’t say no. The prices aren’t bad either. You must come here!
