This place is charming, historic and interesting. The bartenders(both guy and gal) were wonderful and hospitable. The pina coladas and food were delicious. Can’t wait to return for their four hour long happy hour! Gracias!

#themezzaninepr We strolled in at 11:30pm on a Tuesday night and kelvin was what they call on #PuertoRico, bien amable y simpático. The food was fantastic – especially the tacos de carnita and the tuna tar tar. YUM!!! #kelvin

Check out the Mezzanine at St Germain for happy hour! My partner and I loved the passion mojito! And we’ll most definitely be returning for another happy hour during our time in San Juan.

Stumbled upon this spot while exploring in old San Juan. We were fortunate to grab seats right on the tiny balcony(adorable). Cocktails are very tasty, and made well. We had a few small bites(mozzarella, tomato, basil was the favorite). Everything was delicious, staff attentive and friendly and a very quaint atmosphere.

Very creative cocktails. Superb service. Our bartender Ona made sure we were pleased with our drinks and took the time to explain to us the ingredients and details of our drinks. Historic building, nice ambience, two thumbs up!

Don’t waste your time on the black bean hummus. It has no flavor at all. The meatballs are good and they have a nice happy hour. Atmosphere is quaint and service was suitable.

This has a wonderful ambience. The place is beautifully decorated with many photos. The place is small, but there are two tables by very large windows. The place is very picturesque, but they need a better AC. The service varies. One server was very efficient, and the other server was a ghost. The drinks are not strong but they are good. The small plates we tried were delicious too: meatballs, shrimp/pineapple skewers and ceviche. The guava/brie pastry was overcooked though.

Awesome happy hour from 4−8PM with a variety of small plates and drink options. The best daiquiri I have ever had! Lots of balconies where you can sit outside and people watch on the streets below. The waiters were super helpful and recommended a great local dinner spot.

Written back in December. We had gone to the café downstairs early in the day for lunch at the Bistro & Café. Wandered around the city most of the afternoon and stopped in upstairs for drinks. Happy hour was disappointing. Drinks are cheaper than at lunch, but also much smaller than at lunchtime. Took a very long time to get pre-made mojitos(my lunch mojito was properly muddles and mixed). Ordered tapas and more drinks at suggestion of bartender, but our simple order still had not arrive after 45 minutes. Happy hour tapas from a limited menu should be quick? Cancelled the order, bartender said she would comp the first round. I insisted we pay, she persisted. Gave her $ 10, she gave it back. Left it for her and walked away.

Inventive cocktails, tasty food, great happy hour deal. Nice décor with a view. Overall this place was great and I’d highly recommend checking it out if you’re in San Juan. Service is a bit slow but that’s to be expected. Just relax!

Cozy, somewhat hidden place, amazing layout, no huge crowd. I feel like I stepped into some cool movie set. We sat at a small table by the open balcony/door. This is the San Juan I had been hoping for. The unassuming tapas were all simple, fresh and well made. Loved the tacos! Super cheap as well. If it wasn’t for our aggresive plans to find some salsa dancing spots, I could have sat there all night enjoying the drinks and breeze from the open balconies. Come here at some point, you won’t regret it.

The Mezzanine was my favorite spot in Old San Juan. Classy, casual, friendly, and tasty! Kiara was very friendly and knowledgeable, offering tips for my short trip in San Juan, and boy can she make some good drinks. Like others, I tried the basil mojito, the rum old fashioned, and others. To any friends who come to Old San Juan, I will recommend they come to the Mezzanine as their first stop.

What a gem of a find! This place is amazing, best place me and my friends found locally while we were bar hopping in Old San Juan. This place is small but worth it. Happy hour specials are to die for, please you need to try the happy hour plates meatballs and tacos are to die for. After ordering a round of drinks and food it was so delicious we had to order two more rounds of food. Definitely a small place and you need to call for attention or else you will sit there waiting to be served. Overall amazing place number one in tapas and some good drinks everything $ 4 for happy hour can’t complain

My husband found this place via Unilocal, and so we were ready for some tasty food. We were not disappointed! The décor and ambience were super cool, and the history of the establishment was fascinating. Staff was friendly and helpful. We ordered several tapas and sampled a variety of drinks. Every dish we had was excellent, but our favorite was the croissant with Brie. Incredible! Great place — totally recommend it!

Back again and still amazing. Made friends with staff and they know our order before we even sit down. Best classy happy hour in all of old San Juan. Atmosphere and décor are perfect. View is great and drinks /food are excellent.

This place is darling! Great ambiance, fresh and yummy food and drinks and servers committed to giving you a great experience! So good, we went 2 days in a row! Try the basil mojitos, shrimp with pina and basil caprese! William took care of us the first day and made a delicious guava cocktail for us. Kiara and Michael took care of us the next day and were wonderful! Will definitely go back when I visit again!

Great ambiance with a nice breeze. We went during happy hour where they had $ 4 cocktails and appetizers. For what it’s worth, it is a great deal. Cocktails were more on the weak/sweeter side, perhaps happy hour playing a factor.

This is a very cute and cozy spot within walking distance of all of the other places you want to visit in Old San Juan. I came here for Happy Hour with my husband and I really enjoyed the laid back atmosphere and cool décor. The drinks on the Happy Hour menu were awesome, I just wish they had more food options. It looked like they had a 3rd level patio area however it was blocked off due to an event during the late afternoon when I visited. Their café is on the 1st floor, which I believe closes after lunchtime. From the looks of it, all areas of the venue would be a great place for a modestly-size party and/or event. If you have a drink here before sunset, make sure to make it one block up to enjoy the cliff and coastline views! When I am back in San Juan, I will stop by again.

This is the second time I come to San Juan and visit this place. The best time to visit is during happy hour where you have$ 4.00 cocktails and appetizers. These are fine cocktails and wonderful environment!

We stumbled upon this place our second night in San Juan and I fell completely in love. The décor and ambiance makes you feel as if you’ve been transported back in time to 1940s lounge. We found a cute table on the balcony that overlooked the street. Though it was dark, it was perfect. We arrived just in time for happy hour and ordered the carnitas tacos and the sweet and spicy meatballs. Both dishes were great. so we ordered more! For cocktails we chose the basil mojito and the rum old fashioned. They were perfect. This is the perfect place to start or end your night in San Juan. I will definitely be back every time I return to San Juan.
