Really pricey for what you get. The coffee was good but the mugs were dirty and stained. We didn’t get breakfast because it was very Americanized such as an egg and cheese croissant for $ 12. The lattes were $ 5! And the cappuccino was $ 6. You can get cheaper at Starbucks and who wants that on vacation in PR? Do yourself and your wallet a favor and go across the street to the local spot and get food and coffee that is better and cheaper.

I wish they had a sign outside saying«No Brown People Allowed». My husband and I wanted to try this place as it was recommended in the lonely planet Puerto Rico book. Being a coffee lover, This was top priority on my list in Vieques. When we entered there were 2 customers before us. The employee or the owner took their orders and went on preparing their breakfast. We were patient as we felt this was a one man show. We waited for almost 10 minutes and he never made an eye contact with us. Being on the island for almost 2.5 days we understood people do things at their own pace. We gave him the benefit of doubt thinking he was as running the show all by himself. 15 minutes went by, and he never smiled nor made eye contact with us. What made us believe it was our skin color was when he served the customer behind us, but not US. We lived in US for almost 14 years and never faced this treatment. Claiming himself as an expat, I wish he respected other immigrants. As per the food, nothing seemed Interesting on the menu. All I wanted was a coffee and coffee cake. This is definitely not a good place to start your day as the vibe is very negative.

Avoid. The employee rude spoke negative Spanish did not know we spoke. Avoid. Breakfast through microwave. Not nice to consumers. Partial to community. Very sad that this place exist. To a start of a morning, this is not a place to start.

Roy’s serves up coffee and espresso drinks ranking amongst the worst I have had the displeasure of drinking. It doesn’t quite hit the depths of the instant packets found in MRE’s our C-Rats, but it comes close. At $ 5 a cup, the price definitely isn’t right. All of us ended up dumping our drinks in the gutter. It’s not all bad, however. Our 7 year old found the hot chocolate good. Stay away from the coffee unless you need a reminder of the tastes of the Green Machine.

Hours are unreliable. Stayed 3 minutes away for 3 days and could not seem to figure out when or if it was open… however, the bakery across the street is amazing!

Walked in at 10:30AM, lady behind the counter loudly yelling at employee about cocaine, no ones greeted or seated us so we sat at a dirty table while this woman contained to yell and use foul language. Never seen such low class atmosphere in Vieques. $ 5 latte, $ 5 chai! Left and went across the street tt the Panderia for great coffee, omelette, fresh corn muffins at a decent price and wholesome atmosphere.

Honestly, the experience from terrible from the moment we ordered. Service was unpleasant, borderline rude, and our coffees were chucked at us unceremoniously after not nearly enough time to make a decent cappuccino. The veggie omelet had more canned food items than your local grocery store, and the toast had less of a tan than I did after 4 months of winter. After thoroughly not enjoying neither food nor coffee nor service, and watching other customers struggling to get through meals not worthy of a fast food establishment, we really wished we could simply undo our ever stepping foot into this«restaurant,» and simply eat from a street vendor nearby.

It is a coffee shop in the land of no coffee shops. The coffee was OK, the breakfast was OK. Nothing really spectacular or disappointing. I did not like having to pay full price for a refill on my drip coffee, but other places were limiting to one refill per person, I guess at least here I could buy my way to 2+ refills.

The lady working the bar was incredibly rude, and seemed annoyed by our food allergies when we asked simple questions. Service was slow and they brought my mom the wrong order. She ordered eggs and toast and was brought a bacon and egg sandwich. After the order sitting in front of my mom at the table, and several failed attempts at getting someone’s attention, the lady at the bar swooped by and said, «that is NOT for you» and took it! I told her I eat it and she could cancel my order and she snapped, «no you won’t!» and brought it to another customer at the bar(a bit unsanitary… my mom did touch it to look inside). About 5 minutes later her meal came, my came another 10 minutes after that. The patio was filled with smoke and there were cats inside. Unfortunately most of our party was allergic to both cigarette smoke and cats. They also charged us different amounts for the same food, charged cash, and did not give a receipt. It may be helpful to ask for prices before paying.

Came here for breakfast. The service was not good — the hostess left people standing around with barely a greeting. The café con leche and guava muffin were good. Coffee with milk was a watered down and barely warm version of the café con leche. The breakfast burrito and 3-egg omelette were bland and uninspired. We had to ask for salsa and get water, utensils, and condiments ourselves. These cost us over $ 40 for 2 people. There are much better breakfast alternatives in Isabel II.

One of the few places that was open Sunday. The ambiance of Roy’s Coffee Lounge was great — it has a big wooden bar on the inside and a shaded open air patio on the outside. Like other casual spots on the island, all food and drink orders go through the bar. We tried the coffee, the mixed berry fruit smoothie, the breakfast burrito, and another entrée which slips my memory at the time. I agree with the other reviewers that the food is bland and overpriced — come here for coffee or if nothing else is open.

Omelet and egg muffin not bad. Very American. The rum punch tastes really great. The rum is thick. Pretty pleasant surrounding. With fountain and nice decorations. The only thing is that two cats ran around distracting u from your brunch. One of them is worryingly heavy.

This place is funky and the coffee drinks are good. I agree with other reviewers that the food is basic, slightly bland, and overpriced. Nonetheless, they must be doing SOMETHING right to still be in business since my first visit nearly ten years ago.

I have absolutely no idea how this place got high ratings. The waffles? Bland. The eggs? Tasted microwaved. The coffee? More like just soy milk watered down. Please don’t ever call a place a «coffee shop» if you serve coffee in plastic cups. This place may have received high ratings because it’s a comparison with other not-so-great spots to grub on the island but the reality is, this establishment doesn’t even try. Dislike leaving this awful of a review but I’d rather people just save the money and go to Mamasonga 5 minutes away(walking). The upside? The back door seating area is nice.

Had an iced chai latte. it was really yummy. Cost 5 bucks for a small plastic cup so that kinda stinks. They have an awesome breakfast menu. Haven’t tried any of the food yet but it looks good. The atmosphere and music are really nice as well. :)

Not a bad way to start the day. The lady behind the counter was very friendly. We ordered coffee cake, guava juice, a waffle and bacon. Total was about 14, which is pretty high for the amount you got. The coffee cake was great, moist and soft. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Even with the guava juice, it still tasted great. The waffle was just like a belgian waffle and bacon was just the right amount of crisp. Service was fast. I did enjoy the food, but not really a pr experience. and sorta pricy.

Overpriced and pretty average in terms of food and drinks! Staff was alright, but the only reason they got my business was because about everywhere else in this side of Vieques was closed. The patio was lovely, though.
