Long line, kind of overrated, but if you want to enjoy the typical Taiwanese style café in Hong Kong, it is worth checking out. The sandwiches and the fruit tea were pretty good.

Amazing tea time place, would definitely come again. The line was super long though, went from the door of the café all the way down to the street level. I had the lobster roll and waffle, it was fantastic compared to what is available elsewhere.

Food was average. We had the lobster roll, strawberry waffle, and sandwich. Nothing stood out… but it is a popular spot for locals. The coffee was decent though. Come for coffee, but that’s it.

This place is a local favourite and on the weekends, there’s a queue out the door waiting to for a table at this restaurant. A quick tip: get there an hour before they open to ensure a table during the first round. They don’t do reservations. Their sandwiches are interesting Taiwanese fusion of east meets west. There’s something that made it taste more Asian, whether it was the mayonnaise or cheese they used. I would strongly suggest to try a waffle and a coffee(latte). Overall, this is a wonderful one-off experience. It has this interesting green-friendly vibe. I’m not particularly found of queuing for a table when I could easily go to another café with friends and simply enjoy their company there.

I had their lobster roll for lunch. Bread s warm and crunchy. You can taste the butter but not too oily. They gave me extra cream sauce on the side. I also had a strawberry milk drink. Forgot what it’s called. Decent also and it’s served in a big American size glass which is rare in Hong Kong. I went on a weekday at around 12.40pm. There s no line and got seated at a big communal table. Their portion is just right for me. I would definitely come back and try their other sandwiches sets.

We’ve had coffee alley on our hit list for a while, but the queues put us off(down the first flight of stairs and onto the street). By chance, we were in the area before it opened and knew we’d be part of the first sitting and a 20 minute wait sounded reasonable. It wasn’t disappointing. We ordered a few sandwiches between us and a waffle for dessert. The sandwiches were just delicious. My favourite being the pork and mustard. The pork reminded me of a good hunk of British gammon, perfectly cooked and juicy. The hint of mustard gave it the perfect kick. Each sarnie came with an egg salad which was so fresh I was stunned. It’s petty hard to find deliciously fresh salad bits that have the proper taste in HK. We finished hard with a condensed milk and peanut butter waffle. This was good, although the waffle was a bit too thick for my liking. I ended up slicing it down the middle and ate the top layer. Drinks don’t let you down either. We had green tea smoothie, jasmine and peach ice tea and a café au lait. All so refreshing and lovingly presented. I really enjoyed the restaurant decorations too — they had a living wall of plants which made you enjoy the space even more. I recommend it for a visit, but not worth the standard two hour wait. If you can get in within 30 minutes, hit this joint up.

This Taiwanese café has been very popular since its opening. To avoid the long queue I’ve only tried this during lunch time a few weeks ago. Since I’m working at Wan Chai, I’ve taken the chance to leave for lunch a bit earlier and arrive the restaurant at 11:45am, so to get in in the 1st round at 12pm. We, a group of 5, got in successfully without much waiting. Time to order… All looks so good on the menu. my colleagues suggested each of us to order a main dish and then share 2 waffle sets as dessert. They have settled with their decisions on the main dishes. After a bit struggling I’ve decided I will have a whole waffle set myself ! hehe… Okay, I guess I’ve made a right choice as my friends’ main dishes don’t look promising… The croissant set is very so-so, it’s quite hard to make a ham and cheese croissant exceptional I guess… the curry beef looks good tho but not much surprise… Here comes my waffle set~~ The waffles are hot and crispy, tho a bit too thick that I got so stuffed after finishing 2 pieces. The ice cream is okay, with this price I expect the ice cream to be branded but obviously this is Dairy Farm equivalant. However with the strawberry dressing the dish is ok. The other scoop is custard cream, which is no surprise too. As everyone is so stuffed after the meal, my colleagues have not ordered another waffle set(what is shame!) and settled with coffee. Coffee is not bad tho, as we see the effort from the whole presentation. Finally, my colleagues ordered this crumbs cake as dessert. No surprise neither.

One day, my friend has stolen 5 diamonds in my farm(in the game called hay day). Maybe she felt very sorry to me and needed my forgiveness, so she invited me to Coffee Alley for a tea and having a girl’s talk. Before, we have heard that we must wait for a long long time to get in because there are so many people to queue up every moment. We have been getting ready to wait. 2 hour is just a basic standard we know. When we got there, the number is 69 but our ticket is number 133. How frustrated we were that moment! But we won’t give up and give in! Then, we just had shopping first and called the staff for asking the number by mobile phone every 30 minute. It is really an attentive service they provide. After 2 hours(WOW! VERYGREAT! It is under our expectation!), it’s time for us to get in and there were only 1 hour and 30 minutes for us to have a meal. We have just ordered Waffle with fresh strawberry and strawberry ice cream, Jasmine tea with mixed fruits, chicken toast and sandwiches with BBQ pork. Waffle with fresh strawberry and strawberry ice cream is a «must-order». The appearance is very attractive. It is as pretty as a picture and crispy outside and tender inside. The strawberry ice cream is so matched with the toast and you can feel cold and hot at the same time when you ate them together. VERYGOOD! Jasmine tea is quite tasty. NOTBAD. The others are so far so good. You may try when you are so hungry. Overall, it is worth waiting. Sometimes, we just need a place for a chit chat with our friends and having a tasty meal. We want to kick it from our busy lives. Coffee Alley can fulfill our needs at all. PS. The waiters will speak in Mandarin with us for building an environment that makes us feel we are in Taiwan. It’s interesting. But sometimes, they may forget it and speak in Cantonese. Well, we are quite confused…
