The entire metro system throughout Hong Kong is simply fantastic! If you’ve ever been to London or New York, you know exactly what I’m talking about. It’s very clean, very efficient, reasonably priced and an absolute dream to use. Being I live in Los Angeles, I am SO jealous, because «we» started our metro system about 80 years too late.
This MTR station was a 4 – 5 minute walk from the Best Western hotel I was staying in and is adjacent to The University of Hong Kong, hence the «HKU» station name.
Go down the escalator and through a couple long tunnels to get to the platform. (1st photo Allan C)

Buy a single use or round trip ticket, just touch your destination on the screen, then insert your money. (photo Allan C)
Or simply wave your Octopus by the sensor to gain entry. (photo Allan C)
OVERALL: The MTR is a very efficient and easy way to get around Hong Kong, no matter which station you start or end your journey! 5 stars all the way!
