Sometimes you crave the simpler things in life rather than lavish dining. And what can be more humble and underestimated than the good old jacket potato! And this is precisely what Spud u Like specialises in. Hearty, simple and tasty food that is ready in minutes.
They have a huge range of toppings, including tuna and chilli but my personal favourite is traditional cheese and beans with a splash of salt ‘n’ pepper… delicious!
The eatery has an old-​school, American fast-​food joint feel to it with plastic furnishing and bright décor, so it’s not necessarily cosy or welcoming. Nevertheless, the food is great and the service is pleasant. You can grab a filling meal for under a fiver — what else could you ask for!
