Excellent service, great location if you live on the outskirts of either Rottingdean or Saltdean(or indeed want to drive along the coast road from further afield and park in the nearby outside car park) and most importantly, perhaps: GREAT food! As a regular since its initial opening I’ve never had a bad experience here and the wait and bar staff are always so cordial and attentive. Take away or stay in — you’ll get the same high standard. Can strongly recommend the minted lamb!

Went here on Tuesday with my boyfriend, there was one couple inside eating and nobody else. We were seated quickly by a young gent who seemed nice enough, our drinks came quickly and he left us alone to browse the menu. Must have been watching us well as he came back promptly once we’d decided, answered our questions about the food and made good recommendations. The food came quickly and was absolutely divine, which is why this review is rated so highly! However the service did go downhill from there. The original gent went out back to the kitchen as the other couple left leaving us with the guy on the bar. He sat looking bored the entire time whilst we could hear the staff out back having a right old laugh which is fair enough, slow night and what not, but once we’d finished our meal we had to wait a good ten minutes before our plates were cleared by the barman(he could see us quite clearly form the bar!) So apart from the service, which was okay but not great in all, it was a good place to eat and we’ll definitely be going back, even if just for takeaway!

Having grown up in a small town where each restaurant contained within was either a burger joint or a soup and sandwich joint, cuisine from other parts of the world was lost on me. One type of cuisine that evaded me for a good portion of my life was Indian cuisine. I heard stories that it was spicy, and I am not a fan of spicy. So I avoided it. I regret that I did, because if I discovered Tandoori King Prawn earlier on in my life, who knows what could be different… I might have been The Queen. Probably not, but it’s something to think about. Sea of Spice provides a relaxing atmosphere with a friendly wait staff. They provide both eat-in and takeaway services, and their menu is quite varied, offering a wide array of specialties, including different forms of Massala, Rogan, Tandoori, and others. And after settling my credit card situation with MasterCard, I found that I am now at liberty to spend spend spend. The great thing about Sea of Spice is that they accept MasterCard, and restaurants that accept MasterCard are fine and dandy in my book.
