I went there for the first time today. I use to be a costa customer.
The coffee was lovely. I had a very special praline mocha with cream, hazelnuts and chocolate sauce.
I can’t wait to work my way through the menu.

Mocha is an underrated café in Burton upon Trent. It has a wide range of drinks and a wonderful selection of healthy food — but also a few naughty treats. In particular the creps are delicious! The staff are incredibly friendly, polite and they are always happy to serve.
It can become very busy around lunchtime and you will be lucky if you can find a seat on a Saturday. But overall definitely a place everybody should venture to.

The first time I came here I wasn’t that impressed: the coffee was good but the person who served me was pretty off-​hand, bordering rude.
I found myself back here a few weeks later and the grumpiness had gone and my wife and I had a very pleasant coffee and snack. I enjoyed my gallette (savoury pancake) and once more the coffee was good.
The place itself is very handy being so close to town and is clean and modern inside, if not actually cosy.

Mocha is situated between Coopers Square and the Octagon shopping centres. As a result it probably doesn’t quite get the trade it deserves. This is a modern café with a good mix of traditional seating, along with leather sofas and comfy chairs. It serves a good range of speciality coffees and hot drinks, either to drink in or takeaway. It also has quite a wide range of hot and cold snacks, including sandwiches, wraps, paninis, gallettes and omelettes. The staff are polite and friendly, and the whole café has a very relaxed feel. It gets busy around lunchtime, but at other times finding a table is easy. Mocha also rewards regular customers with a free drink by virtue of a stamp system — nine drinks and you get one free.
