LEGO heaven! A whole shop dedicated to the original little brick. I love LEGO. I rediscovered it when I was at uni — cute little bricks and figures. A boyfriend once bought me a LEGO witch — maybe a message as we broke up shortly afterwards but I loved that gal with her cat and cauldron. Who says LEGO is just for kids? I was meant to spend my last morning in Cardiff soaking up some art but the lure of the minifig was too great and I had to hunt out the LEGO store. The store itself is large and bright, stocked with all sorts of LEGO sets as well as little bits for making up your own figures. I’m sure kids love it and us adults who have rediscovered LEGO, even more. I went in with a specific requirement — a female professor minifig. Despite my request, the assistant went through a pile of minifig’s, feeling the packets so I would have the right bits and then went in search of a girl head(wears lipstick) and then found me girl hair so I could create my desired figure. The service was fantastic and staff were happy to sort through tons of bits to help me create the right minifig. My custom minifig packet cost £1.39 and my extra girl bits(head and two types if girl hair pieces) were thrown in for free. I didn’t realise my little prof would be so cheap but staff were great at ensuring I got what I came for. Staff were also knowledgeable about the LEGO website and how to track down missing parts of LEGO collections. Well worth a visit(or pilgrimage).
