Popped in for a coffee and hot chocolate. Nothing to write home about. Good things: — Light and airy and great for people watching. — The staff were friendly. Bad things: — The enormous TV was pretty distracting. — There were some big flies buzzing about.

Previously a great wee café ‘The Sugar Qube’ I went in here at the weekend for a coffee and a catch up… Nothing like the old place. Seriously the last time. On ordering coffee I checked out the cake selection. There on the top was a selection of tired looking pastries under a glass bowl… They were moving!!! On closer inspection I noticed they were alive with fruit flies swirling around inside having a right old party. I told the guy behind the counter who promptly lifted the lid releasing them over the rest of the fridge unit and bundled the offending pastries into the unsealed bin behind the counter. We opted for an individually prepacked, sealed muffin. The floor was disgusting with a lump of stale bread like a footstool at my feet. The table was just as bad, sticky with coffee rings and crumbs. We drank our coffee occasionally brushing aside dive bombing fruitflies. Couldn’t get out fast enough… Eeeeeeeewwww!!!
